Ever since I was a small child I was interested in British history, country, and basically everything British. My family always thought I was weird (actually I thought I was also) but a few years ago I got a dna test as a gift and it turned out that my ancestry is majority British followed by Scottish and then Irish. I was blown away because I thought since my mom’s family was German (didn’t know who my biological father was) that it would dominate my dna, it didn’t.😳 Maybe that explains my fascination.(?) Anyway, I always wanted to visit there, as does my eldest daughter, but just never got the chance and now I’m not physically capable of that kind of travel. Your videos are a delight for me because I can see so many things/places I’ve read and heard about.👍 Thank you, much appreciated! I also shared your channel with my daughter.☺️

Thank you for the content! A new subscriber in the U.S.
Hello Jeffrey lovely to hear you found us and are enjoying our videos many of which are in the U.K. Lots to catch up on, and we hope new inspiration for another visit. Many of them are accessible by train quite quickly if you do end up in London again. Canterbury, Winchester, York (2 hours) to name but a few. A car to head further like the Cotswolds is a good bet, but probably best to avoid June, July and August as the busiest times of year, if you can. All the best!

@@Roddersville Lower Sockington or Upper Sockington? Might have been Nailsworth (groan).
Hi Trish, thank you for sharing your interest and connection. Such a shame you never managed to visit, but we are very glad to be able to share on the channel and show you something virtually. This is what keeps us go to make new videos. All the best Simon & Will

I like very much all of your visits and videos. I really enjoy each one of them. Congratulations for your work. And thank you very much.
Thank you very much!😊
I have recently discovered your channel and absolutely love it! I am in the U.S., and since the age of 10 have had a fascination of England. I made my first trip to London aged 19, and have since been 5 times. I have always stayed in London, but your videos are making me long to experience the beautiful countryside, and villages.
@@MemorySeekers thank you for the tips!
