Their rivalry in 2011-2014 especially is perhaps the fiercest and the most intense rivalry in tennis history.
Clash of titans 🤜💢🤛
But,we must mentenion that Nadal avoided Joker for quite some time.
Therefore, ⭐️ goes to 🃏
@@NikolaJaksic-mz4kn I literally mentioned 2011-2014 as the two's rivalry at its peak, what more details do you want?
From wiki.."The tennis rivalry between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal is the most prolific in men's tennis in the Open Era. It is widely considered by players, coaches, and pundits as one of the greatest rivalries in the history of tennis."
2010-2014 I'd say to include the epic US Open 2010 final. They also produced magical battles outside that period though, like the Olympics 2008 SF, the Madrid Open 2009 SF and, especially, the Wimbledon 2018 SF.

Federer/ Djokovic 50 (23-27)times
Djokovic/Nadal 60 (31-29)times

Djokovic is much more gracious in defeat than Nadal.
And Nadal is much more gracious throughout the match. Never threw a racquet; unlike Novak.
was gonna say this as well
Nadal is always classy if we speak about on court. He doesn't shout at/to anybody or destroy a racquet. He holds his nerves. That's what I can tell for sure. What I want mostly to say is there are things we need to appreciate in specific players.
@@jameswalker6864 and? haha. bet you never held a raquet in your hand.who give af if he throws his raquet?
@@jameswalker6864 You mentioned throwing rackets and did not mention that Novak during the match humbly and unreservedly applauds his opponents when they win an amazing point. This is something Novak does regularly every match even to Nadal and Federer while Nadal rarely does
Warmer hugs from Nole when defeated. That shows a lot.
That's why i never liked Nadal.
Being a die hard Rafa fan i can say that Novak is much more gracious in defeat than anyone else on the planet, especially Federer and Nadal. Watch their hand shakes after every match.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 the racquet smasher, crowd teaser, racquet and ball thrower. He is just a big hypocrite. Don’t let his shows fool you
Yep look at his handshake and gesture
@@David_james77 those r to relieve stress. He was mad at himself not at the opponent. He always shake hands with them in the end with a smile.
@@HoangTruong-vk7ek that’s all still part of being gracious and fair in defeat. Did you even see what he told Luca Nardi? (a young man that literally idolized him)
@@David_james77 And when Federer breaks a racquet, people comment how even his racquet breaking is elegant. No idea why racquet breaking is always brought up in discussions about Djokovic. He's neither the first nor the last top tier player who does it
Some people look at this and argue over who is better. But in my humble opinion, this video only shows how hard both of them pushed each other. Nadal led djokovic to be a better player and in return when djokovic started beating him, nadal had to become a monster to overcome him. We can look at the numbers or just appreciate the competition and the fact that we got to witness this incredible rivalry

It is crazy that Djokovic does not lost a single set in hard court from 2013 against rafa. It shows how Djokovic dominates the hard court ❤
Not only that but Djokovic hasn't lost a match against nadal outside clay since that 2013 season. 11 years now and counting. Unreal superiority
""Of their 60 meetings, 27 matches have been on hard courts with Djokovic leading 20-7, 29 on clay with Nadal leading 20-9, and 4 on grass where they are tied 2-2.""

Uhh, why is Andy being mentioned with those 3?
@thelolmaster1997 well maybe because he has
- 3 GS titles and 8 GS finals, all of which he lost either to Federer or to Djokovic
- 14 Masters titles and 7 finals
- ATP Finals title
- 2 Olympic Gold and 1 Silver medals

2010 Nadal was on fire coming into 2011. I was never really aware of that. i knew he had a great season, but i didnt knew how dominant he was. Without Djoko, Nadal would have gone to dominate 2011 as well. He would have had one of the greatest runs in history of tennis.
Without Nadal, Djokovic would've dominated 2013 and it'd been deemed one of the greatest seasons in tennis history. In effect, peak Novak won the AO in 2013 and lost both in the RG 2013 SF and the USO F 2013 against Nadal. Without Nadal, Novak was easily winning 3 Slams plus the ATP finals in 2013.

Without Djokovic 2011 would have been Nadal’s best season, he made more finals that year than 2010, Djokovic just showed why he’s the goat though.
Exactly! Nadal was on a tear with nobody to stop him in 2010, but Novak derailed him. Rafa would’ve easily replicated that 2010 performance with 3 slams. He probably would’ve won 2012 AO, which would make him the holder of all slams that year.
Novak had the last laugh. He finished this rivalry with a W!
And better H2H
STAT ALERT: Nadal has not beaten Djokovic on a non-clay surface since that US Open final in 2013. The only time he has taken a set on non-clay against the Serb (x2) in the same period was their five-setter at Wimbledon in 2018. Insane.
That's an INSANE stat and shows how nadal can only match Djokovic on clay. On hard and grass, Djokovic is undefeated against nadal for more than a decade now😱😱😱
@@Lucas51192even on clay…I’d reckon it’s Novak 9-11 Nadal since 2011.
Look at these Djoker fans 😄Djoker is the H2H Houdini... 4 matches vs Nadal on hard court from 2015-2016, the same period that Nadal was losing on hard court to... Berrer, Berdych, Raonic, Verdasco, etc.... then from 2017-2018 while Djoker was losing on hard court to... Istomin, Kyrgios, Chung, Daniel etc... he played Nadal 0 times on hard court (just like 0 times vs Federer on any surface). Where did Djoker go?? Where are all the matches in America, Indian Wells, Miami, Canada, US Open etc? All he did was play Nadal 2 x in Australia since then lol
This is not new to Djoker... where were the matches vs Prime Federer on grass? And yet Djoker has a 3-1 H2H at Wimbledon 🤔

Since 2011, Novak is 24 to 13 vs Nadal and never lost to him off clay since 2013.
which is way less than 16-6 which was the score in Nadal's best years, so yes, Fakeovic piled all the stats after the primes of his biggest rivals. He was always third in their primes, and he's third now behind alcaraz and sinner. He only was dominating zverev and tsitsipas lol

Starting from Indians well 2011 when djokovic changed his service with the advice of Todd Martin, the GOAT went into full beast mode.
Crazy to think that, at one point, Rafa was leading 14-4 the H2H. Who would have tought that, since that moment, Novak leads 27-15 (almost doubling Rafa). What a rollercoaster this rivalry has been.
Not 27-15 . It's 27-25 . Only a difference of 2 wins.
@@vinuramendis2273 what? I´ll go again my friend. Until the famous 4 hours Madrid match in 2009 (included), the H2H was 14-4 for Rafa. Since that moment, until today, Novak is 27-15. If you add both H2H, 4 plus 27 (Novak), and 14 plus 15 (Rafa), the result is 31-29, as it´s today.

This rivalry is the most special thing sports related I have had the pleasure of following for years. Its too bad that Rafa doesnt cherish it enough, Djokovic is on the other side very much aware of how special it is.
He just thinks Federer’s rivalry was more fair, sportmanlike and friendly. Djokovic pushed him really hard and defeated him in many rough battles (AO 2012, Wimbledon 2018) but I just don’t think he ever liked Novak’s attitude on court

I hadn't realized how many times Djokovic lost to Nadal in the majors in the 2000s. That 2011 Wimbledon championship was really a huge mental leap for Djokovic, finally beating Nadal in a Slam. Nadal obviously dominated the rivalry in the 2000s being more experienced and unbeatable on clay. Djokovic seemed to step up in 2011 only to kind of regress the next 2 to 3 years.
