@@dongill9186It's a serve for a serve and volley player, in his era, when rackets weren't as powerful and so skilled players at the net weren't easily passed.
Today, even with his serve, he wouldn't do well in singles...the serve takes you deep into the court due to momentum from the motion, if you don't go to net you actually lose a split second recovering (which is all a pro needs to gain the upper hand) plus expend extra energy to get back to the baseline.

Different eras. Djokovic would have won way less playing in same era as Agassi and McEnroe. Wouldn't win 7 Wimbledons when peaking with Sampras or with McEnroe who was also peaking with Borg. McEnroe and Borg 5 Wimbledons each in same era. All those 4 also winning at least 4 USOs each. Borg also 5 RGs. Top players didn't played AO much in those times due to long way to travel to Aus, expensive to travel to Aus, lower prize money, perceived as less prestigious. Made players more willing to skip it (Agassi until 1995, Sampras in 1999).

Fascinating history of tennis for the past 45 years and what is to come. Fun to watch. Amazing how McEnroe can make the game seem so simple as long as you don’t have to move your feet. 🙏💪🌏🌍🌎❤️🇺🇸🖖

The oldest McEnroe: 1959 (65 years),
The youngest Alcaraz: 2003 (21 years)
    Difference: 44 years = 2 x Alcaraz + 2y.

Not disagreeing on the GOAT, but so do Nadal and Federer... One remarkable statistic for Alcaraz is that at 4 slams, he already has double the number of grand slams won by tennis players born in the 90s, as Thiem and Medvedev have one slam each, and all other 90s-born have 0 (Djokovic, Nadal, and Federer very much to blame for that).
