Me and my beat friend just picked up 2 of these off marketplace. Cant wait for the snow to melt so we can rip around. We put a predidtor 212 on one with a Cheap e bay tourque converter and govoner delete, and they are 100% different bikes now.
It is a belt and pulley drive system that replaces the chain and sprocket drive system that these come with. It allows you to take off faster from a stop and gives higher top speed without removing the throttle stop or governer (which I have videos on). The disadvantage is that the belts wear out and need replaced, slip like hell when wet meaning you can't really run it off road, and it keeps the engine at a constant rpm which, personally, is annoying to me. But soon I will be installing one on the channel just to compare it to the chain and sprocket system they come with.
I fail to understand why so many people who own these, focus on the negative rather than the positives on these little bikes. It’s not a real motorcycle, it’s cheap, and it made for fun. If you want more performance get a real dirt bike! For what it is, it’s more than enough to have fun on!
Maybe because it's a whole bunch of negatives and only one positive- that it's *kinda* fun. And I was only stating facts in the video- so if you have a problem with that then I'd have to say you're definately being biased and I am not. And I didn't even get to how the things literally fall apart after only riding them for a few hours. I don't recall the title of the video being "The Positives of Owning a Minibike" (which would be a VERY short list), though I supposed a more accurate title (to appease you) would have been "A Dirt Bike Riders Opinion of a Minibike". And you mention how they're "cheap." These things are $700-$800 new now. I could buy an old 90's Honda XR100 for that which would be 100x more fun, 100x faster, 100x more capable, and 100x better built (had one, payed $450 for it just a few years prior). If you've ridden dirtbikes more than a few time then no, there aren't really any positives to these things- not when they're the same price as a bulletproof xr100. Literally everything about them sucks compared to an old xr100 and they are the same price...
Is there an alternative bike with similar specs and frame etc? I've been looking for one for several months. I can't buy this in Europe/Germany over the normal sites because they don't offer international shipping and I can't find it on Ebay or Amazon etc...
Ive got the same mini bike i weigh about the same as you i can tell you that that bike doesnt have any problem going up a hill i have a video on my channel where i go up a much longer grade than you got there without any problem Edit after seeing you trying to go up that hill i have to wonder is your clutch slipping or defective I dont have that problem
My bt200x does the same thing. I'm assuming it's because I'm trying to do it from a stop, instead of already moving. I know if I got a run for it that it would go up that grade and for a while. But should you have to stop on the hill and then get going again, you're screwed lol.
In your first comment you said you weighed about the same as me. And yeah no you don't lol- I was 220 in this video. So yes, that's definatley why you can get up those hills and I can't.
@@BuckeyeBallistics i thought your video said you weighed 130 i may have mis read it seems that wasnt in screen long i dont think ill be modding my bike because in my area where i ride it would be foolish to do over 10 -12 mph and power isnt an issue so i cant justify any power adders hope you check out my channel i got all sorts of videos Covering a variety of different things

Yeah those are good bikes; used to ride a Ninja 500 myself. If I can ever get this channel big enough to fund everything, I'll have a ton of bikes, on and off road- I would love to do some retro builds. I would even like to get a couple 3 wheelers cause I never had one. Never had a go-kart either. Like I said, I want em all lol.
@@BuckeyeBallistics drive yourself crazy and check out ever rides channel. good with a cold beer!!! your channel will keep growing!! muscle cars, mini bikes, fireworks, guns, and motorcycles coming....thats merica!!!!!
Yeah I saw that. Some places want $800+ for them. Ridiculous. They were worth it for $500 brand new, but for $700-$800 I'd just spend a couple hundred more and get a used dirtbike from one of the big 4 (Honda, Kaw, Yam, Suz).
Yeah honestly this would have all the power a 150lb rider would need for anything it is capable of traversing. Maybe with the throttle stop screw completely removed, the same could be said for a 200lb rider. Will find out soon...
@@Sheridantank Little kids I guess, and it keeps the engine from blowing from improper break in because most get on em and just go full throttle almost immediately. They used to be spring mounted and you would just simply back them out as much as you desired. Now they are tack welded in place so you have to cut them out. Maybe there is some law or something that keeps them safe from lawsuits by governing power and top speed or something like that, not sure. Either way, it only takes 10 seconds to remove it, so no big deal. The governer is a different story, but at least that serves the purpose of not allowing the engine to over rev.
@@Sheridantank Most people don't grasp the concept of a break in period. To be fair, dealers never tell them.
