Moslim Islam don’t listen to Robert Jordan... not sure where he gets his information from but it doesn’t make any sense. You’re either in a calorie surplus or deficit. Surplus you gain weight and deficit you lose weight. Your body doesn’t just automatically adapt to eating more calories and magically burn them off. It stores it as fat. And it will continue to store it as fat as long as you’re in a surplus.
