Twitch banning people before telling them the rules have changed is fucking insane. It the same energy as playing with a kid that changes the rules because they are losing the game.

twitch tos might be confusing but imo Rumble with its far right content with fake viewers and kick with them inviting gamblers that stream to kids and reverting bans for people who have broken laws & keep harassing normal people on streets.. i think those 2 platforms are still morally worse than twitch is.

they have the mature option for an older audience for a reason an tags for certain topics or if the person likes to cuss. So why are they treating it like another age group for a younger audience? Just put in guidelines an rules so people don't push the boundaries of the mature option an the tags too far. Its like the whole 'Animation is only for kids' ordeal all over again, don't blame the Live2D/VRChat content creators who didn't break the rules.

I got hit with "sexual content" on twitch for my Live2D model simply having a bikini model, I can accept it and change if they make their rules make sense
Since it is all unclear and constantly changing its hard to understand what I'm even doing wrong.
Flesh Streamers just change outfits, Live2d requires hundreds of dollars in art and rigging to change outfits
If they say VTubers must abide by flesh tuber rules, then atleast then i understand, right now its like limbo

@@lil_doggo_of_doom Do you know NOTHING about Twitch? They have tons of flesh streamers that literally stream from little pools or hot tubs *while in bikinis.* There's no reason for the OP to even think a goddamn swimsuit wouldn't be perfectly fine. There's literally a lady recently who streamed while in the tiniest bikini top and a bikini bottom that was so tiny that her actual @nus was visible on camera a few times, and she wasn't banned.

I saw something few months ago where a vtuber got banned for a few days on twitch because her model showed her belly button and as a vtuber I thought that was totally unfair. I agree with your take on everything you said Kat 😊.

My issue is the fact that they didn’t give ANY warning what so ever and then didn’t give anyone time to adjust to the new guidelines. Like you said I feel like it should be everything goes or nothing goes I’m so tired of twitch at this point because they’ve had situations like this in the past where they fail to communicate changes they’ve made until it’s to late.

in real life A person cant really control if they have large and noticeable um... "assets" but for vr avatars you 100% have control over that and v tubers have been milking the ability to not be regulated

But VTubers have spent literally thousands of dollars in their designs. Once they have established their brand they literally can't change their bust size or change their clothing unless they commission it again, and anyway, WHY SHOULD THEY?
Add to this the arbitrary rules. Get banned for a bellybutton, get banned for showing too much thigh, they can't commission a more appropriate attire unless they have clear guidelines that guarantee your model won't be banned. The real problem here is the uncertainty. Twitch bans are happening arbitrarily and randomly, and THERE'S NO ACCOUNTABILITY. Who is issuing the bans? We don't know. On whose orders? We don't know either. It might as well be an outsourced mod or a badly implemented AI that decided who gets banned and who doesn't.
Next thing you know VTubers will have to start wearing burkas 🙄

I feel like it's a given that vrchat and vtubers both have to abide to the normal streamer "dress code." Like, if normal streamers can't have anything showing, why would they allow 3d models to show the same thing. Both can be found on "those sites." Twitch needs to hire someone to notify streamers BEFORE banning them. This always happens when they change guidelines.

They're not the same at all. Treating a cartoon with the same lense as a real person is weird and undeserving. They don't deserve to have as harsh of a 'dress code' as in real life streamers because it's all fake. 1:1 is completely wrong. So no.

There's different sites for that. So you want them to get special treatment? Also you're missing the point vtubers are held to the same standard as real streamers. Vtubers and vrchat models shouldnt be punished as bad as in real life streamers, because THEYRE CARTOONS. it doesnt matter if a person can move around like a real person. What does motion have to do with it? Why are ppl pretending theyre 1:1 equivalents??? Theyre not the same. Theyre CARTOONS. they can be 'punished' if they go very hard into being perverted, but they deserve a *higher* threshold than a real life person. Why? Because theyre a cartoon character. Normal people understand theyre not the same as a real flesh and blood person, and dont see them as the same. no matter the amount of 'free movement' they have. There is literally no debate about this. Its clear as day. Twitch deserves to go out of business.

it is so ridiculous cause vtubers are one of the highest-watched stuff on twitch but they do this to us? I am afraid to put my 3d model up and it's an innocent look, it shows a little bit of skin but like it shows thigh and knee socks lol I am even afraid to show a bit of thigh and that is all you see on my model. I honestly don't understand Twitch at all. Vtubers have a certain style that is a common fashion sense that we all go by. Especially the model stores all have that style in mind so not going by that style makes it that you need to find someone or make your own clothes. Which is very expensive at least for a live2D model for clothes, its a little easier to do with 3d models but custom anything even 3d is Expensive af. So if they follow these new rules I feel sorry for small vtubers cause its so expensive to change. I know i can't afford a wardrobe change lol.

    • @OkamiLyra

If that's the case, the flesh tubers shouldn't be allowed to be half naked on Twitch as well. Can't enforce that rule on one side and not apply it to the other. That's a double standard.
