Coukdnt you just buy a 200$, 2000w pure sine wave inverter and do the same thing. Granted you won’t have ecoflows awesome intervention and app but it’s 25% of the cost of this thing. You always need solar panels if gasoline is not available to run your car. It’s not sustainable or off the grid
It works great for my situation keeping my wave 2 charged up for camping
This is a really cool product. I hope to test it and set it up myself in my rig with my Delta Max and Ecowave 2 since I love to run that a lot while camping. One point is EcoFlow has a 15ft(5m) cable that also works with this. I currently use it to go from my Delta Max in my vehicle to my Ecowave 2 in my tent while overlanding.
When I bought my first Delta Pro it came with a lot of accessories including the Smart Generator Adapter, however since the price cuts in the Delta Pro the amount of accessories has been reduced and no longer comes the Smart Generator Adapter
I think that might have been part of the kickstarter or the initial offering but yes you're right it's not included anymore

Operating temp is
-4℉ to 140℉ (-20℃ to 60℃)
Storage temp
-22℉ to 158℉ (-30℃ to 70℃)
I’ve enjoyed your video very much. Just one small item caught my eye. The operating and storage low end numbers are incorrect on your insert. It should be -20C and -30C.

I travel a ton and am interested in one of these for my van. I recently picked up the pecron 500 watt charger for about 25% of the cost. It hasn’t even shipped yet, but I’m curious if you have any thoughts or tested that one yet?

Thank you so much for the info you put out. You have saved me many times and guided me on the path I am on. This leads me to a question. On the Ecoflow Delta Pro can the car alternator charger be plugged into one rear expansion port and the Smart generator be plugged on to the other expansion port? This would give me a 12/24V source, the propane generator, and solar. Correct? And charge back to my 24V source?

I appreciate your kind words, but this specific question you might have to ask EcoFlow to be safe. I really don’t want to take a guess on that one.
@@TechMadeEzy Well, I attempted to get an answer from Ecoflow. That went over like a lead balloon. So I am back to reasoning. The Delta Pro has 2 expansion ports in the back. One can fill those ports with the Delta expansion batteries or a battery and the Ecoflow Smart generator. As long as one has the Smart Generator adapter plug for Each expansion port, the Delta Pro should connect with it. I have never seen anyone connect 2 Ecoflow Smart Generators to their Delta Pro just to see...LOL. Although, the battery and generator combo charges and discharges. I guess I am gonna purchase the Ecoflow Car Alternator Charger and see how it does. See if both can charge and discharge at the same time. Again, any guidance would be a blessin🙂

At the very least I should be able to suck the life out of any 12v or 24V battery.....within reason🤣 They say they have made it for van life and I see very clearly a situation where someone would be using their Delta Pro for their major power source. When stopped, they should be able to connect their solar panels using the built in solar input. And connect their Smart Dual Fuel Generator to Expansion Port #1 on the rear of the Delta Pro. This allows DC charging from solar and the generator at the same time. This is important because the AC inverter will not operate while charging on AC; a non Ecoflow Inverter generator. In this example I KNOW there will be a storage battery.....other than the primary starting battery. The thing that makes this device so sweet is that is will also charge the battery it is connected to. I think that it should work on Expansion Port #2 along side the generator for they are both Ecoflow products and its output is DC to the Delta Pro; with the optional Smart Generator Plug. Word to the wise.....if folks have the Delta Pro...you better get multiples of these plugs because they'll be a single point of failure and Ecoflow is moving on to new stuff. SO if it is connected to the DC power of the vehicle it will discharge and charge a 12V or 24V battery. At the same time....which is freakin awesome if it works.😁 If not, I can swap out what i use. My Delta Pro's feed my house 240V at 30A. Each will have a Dual Fuel Smart Generator and a Alternator Car Charger. The generator on propane does 1600W and the Car Charger does 800W and around 800W of solar on a good day. Alternately, if the Delta Pro only allows one to be connected at the time, connecting the Car Charger alone at 800W....not perfect but it allows me to beg, steal, or borrow any 12V or 24V battery if the SHTF🤠🤠Feeding it into my system and never having to shut down the Queens' Air Conditioner😉😉 The things we do to keep peace in the Kingdom! 🤣🤣As long as the specs are within range. We'll See! It's on the way....along with my extra Smart Generator plugs and 2 24V 100Ah battery. If it works like I think I will have some really nice n fat 24V batteries charged up and ready to go. Rather than the Delta Pro Extra Battery. Although, if the Extra Battery is all that will operate on Expansion Port #2 along with something else, then I will also buy the Ecoflow batteries if the price comes down a bit....to dang expensive for what ya get. I will let you know. May take sum pics too.

Can we talk about what you do if you don't have a fancy phone? Like if your phone is so old that you cannot ad any apps to it? Can you operate this alternator charger and Delta Pro without doing software updates and phone apps? TIA
I think you can use a tablet with Bluetooth even if it’s an Apple tablet or an android tablet as long as it’s not very old and as long as it has Bluetooth, but at some point, you might need wifi to install a firmware update.

How much heat can it take? I live in Las Vegas, it gets 120 degrees in the summer. Can I leave the Delta and the Alt Charger in the car year round?
Max operating temp is listed at 140F

Will this work with the eco flow wave 2 only in a car?
Interesting you ask that, it will recharge the wave 2 battery. Hope that answers your question
Does it charge the extra battery without it connected to the wave 2? So I can have 1 running the wave 2 while charging another 1?
@daviandds the wave 2 cannot be connected to anything while being charged with this new device
hopefully it will become at 50% soon. The price is ridicuous

this thing will wear down your car alternator and anyone who travels already has portable solar panels.

It can also be used to transfer power from 12V and 24V batteries to and from Delta power stations much more quickly.
But if you have rainny day and is faster then a solar panel. In my RV I have acid battery not with that power. I will changed it with that.
I'm doing a 6x8 cargo trailer build, all electric, and don't have enough space to install enough solar to charge my Delta 2 max reliably. Since I'm mostly planning on doing road trips anyway, I'll be driving most days and what my solar can't keep up with this will. I have a rather large alternator in my car to begin with but I was actually considering upgrading it i start traveling much For this very reason of reliability. It would be far cheaper to upgrade the alternator if you're going to be driving a lot anyway, than it is to build out a big solar setup that you then have to then maintain. I have a couple of the 160 W. Echo flow portable solar panels for when I'm going to be stationary for a few days as well.
I have actually been researching upconverters for a little while so I was very interested when I saw this video pop up!
Can anybody confirm this could be mounted in the bad of a truck?. I called eco flow and asked and was told I could but the person I spoke to was not convincing.

Why would anyone buy this. You can get Victron dc-dc Orion for half the price, you can double them up if you need to. EcoFlow has been making terrible products and they have to give them away for free to UA-camrs to give “positive reviews. EcoFlow is a terrible company, the customer service is disgustingly terrible, they know absolutely nothing about the products they sell.
Ecoflow are the best by far for all its products and thats a fact.
@Tman1969 LMAO, knowledge is worth more than gold. Ecoflow is overpriced crap, that's why when they break,the company never repairs them. If your lucky they will just send you a new one. They are high frequency inverters, short term throw away POS. Low frequency inverters are heavier, long lasting, more powerful, more expensive, fully repairable, and last a life time. My solar generators 3000w continuous 6000w surge, can take in 2000w + solar, 1500w from the wall, 240w from a car adapter, and output full power at the same time continuously. As far as this car charger from Eco, why would anyone pay that much money for this when you can get a 12v 1000w inverter for less than $100 and charge your system AC as fast as your your system will allow. Will Eco allow you endless battery capacity, can you run lithium, lead acid,and or gel batteries with your system, mine will. So your Eco product is how? Good. Knowledge is powerful, and can save your life and money
@@dustydawson8977 1.3 hour charge from the car alternator when out back and no AC to plug into vs 8 - 10 hours solar on a bright day. I live where it's cloudy and raining or snowing 2/3 of the year, AND I'm disabled and a single female, not easy or safe to try to put out large panels (that won't fit well) into my tiny minivan anyway, and that advertises that I'm camping instead of being STEALTH inside my van. VS 1.3 hours running my vehicle to recharge a portable power station, which I need to be able to take out of my vehicle and use in my home bcuz I have no electricity at home. And be able to charge my car battery since there is a parasitic drain that can't be found without spending thousand I don't have at Honda dealership to reset all the computers. THAT'S WHY.
If I can recreate this same item cheaper DIY myself (I can get it for $340 WITH a Delta 2 on sale) PLEASE tell me how before the end of the weekend, otherwise I'm going to spend 999 on the two items.
This product will very likely destroy your alternator. They should have worked with dodge Chevy Ford and Mercedes to make a product that works with new vehicles so they don't void the warranty. This is not a well thought out product.
