I gotta say Doc, I haven't been this excited from a video presentation explaining biological chemistry in many many sun's! You certainly have a knack for not only educating the common layman, but also for invigorating that passion to understand our own biochemistry. Thank you for such a brilliant, enlightening, and motivating presentation. 👏
I was about to watch a video of Dr.Mike’s just for entertainment, then I said “ I should really do my homework and look up NAD+” … well, this man does everything.
Thank you. This is the first time I ever understood completely what NAD+ does. You went in perfect detail and answered questions I have been having for weeks. I am incredibly grateful you made this video.

I’ve been getting off meds and even felt tired just walking. It’s been HELL. I just started taking NMN+ and I actually had energy to walk my dogs today and feel like I can run a mile! I’m not sure how long this will last but I’m taking advantage of it. I got a months worth and will keep taking it. Even if it only works today just having the energy is a godsend. It’s very nice to feel energetic again.

This makes a lot of sense. If I am trying to take a supplement for energy, Does this mean I want to take NAD+ or NADH? From your demonstration here, it seems like the better supplement is NAD+
I took 260 mg of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide and it was no placebo. Increased energy, mood, and focus all day long. I’m going to proceed with caution until more research is done on its tumorigenic potential and impact on sirtuens, but damn. I’m not going to name the manufacturer in case someone thinks I have a vested interest, but this stuff works. Obviously consult your doctor before taking any supplements.
Hi Doc, I've seen some research on NAD+/NADH and the potential anti-aging benefits... could you comment on that? and also would it make a difference in whether you take NAD+ or NADH supplements? I also read in some journals that the NAD+/NADH ratio changes as we age but I'm not sure if there is enough research to support that... your input would very much be appreciated!!!
1: what is the correlation between high uric acid levels and nad+ iv therapy and whether or not it’s safe to do? 2: is it effective to use precursor supplements via salvage pathways along with nad+ or nadh direct supplementation by iv or injection?
Young individuals should take Resveratrol at night while older people should take it midday for the greatest effectiveness. If you’re 40 or above, I suggest you to take NMN. Just so you know, Resveratrol is needed to activate the sirtuin genes (which protect our DNA and epigenome), while NMN is needed to fuel the sirtuins. However, resveratrol is difficult to be absorbed by the gut, and the little resveratrol that ends up in the body is broken down very quickly. I take NMN Vitruvin brand for the first time, and so glad it didn't fail me.

My basic understanding of creatine is that it also helps produce ATP. So, does it do this on it's own or is creatine kind of useless without NAD after a certain point?
So that means, NAD+ gives more energy to the mitochondria which helps the mitochondria to produce more energy to the cell which help the cells grow. Can i explain it this way?
