Dr. H- you have an incredibly accessible manner about you. 😊This is my favorite series. The mix of hard science with a humble, direct and truth-seeking demeanor is highly magnetic. I’m what I call a slacker hacker- former trainer and yoga instructor - gym rat. I’m at the point where exercising “harder” is not going to be helpful getting through menopause so understanding different paths to vitality is highly valuable. ❤

As a biologist, I've been a big fan of Hubermanlab for years now and I have almost listened to all episodes and I can sincerely say that THIS EPISODE IS THE BEST!!! So informative and it spiked my curiosity on peptides even more. Now Dr Craig Koniver has gained a new fan! Not only is he super knowledgeable but he is compassionate and I can see that he is truly living his purpose. Thank you for taking the time to teach all of us nerds!

Andrew, your podcasts have been a game-changer for me! Unfortunately, the paradox is that the more I learn and implement your protocols, the less time I have to catch up on the latest episodes. Can I say. This is the only episode whereby you haven’t covered the topic as in depth as I would like. We need an episode on each peptide, side effects, long term, short term, duration of use etc etc.
I am concerned you only covered benefits and for those without a good understanding of all the other aspects.
This episode really peaked my interest though.

Thank you for finally discussing Methylene Blue! My recommendation is to heat up 4oz of water (45 sec in microwave). Put the Methylene Blue in the warm water and add about a tablespoon of vitamin C powder. Stir and it becomes clear and won't stain. It also allows the vitamin C to pass the blood/brain barrier.

Dr. Huberman,, I'm a huge fan of your work on neuroscience.
I’ve been using your Neuroplasticity Super Protocol and NSDR practices rigorously, especially during 5-6 hour study sessions and daily workouts. It often adds up to 2.5-3 hours of NSDR per day. My question is: Could this frequent use of NSDR be beneficial, or could it lead to dopamine crashes from too many spikes?..If anyone else is curious about this question, feel free to like so Dr. Huberman might see it! 😊

18:00 - when I lost weight a huge (ha, pun) help was when everyone stops treated me like I was sub-human. The constant low level poor treatment, dismissive attitudes, and occasional outright bullying have an accumulative effect on a person. Once that lifted EVERYTHING felt easier.

I was eating zero processed foods, super clean, fasting, training 4 times a week and detoxing regularly... I was not losing the 10 pounds I gained from perimenopause. NOTHING was working. I was miserable because I was literally doing everything. Tirzepatide has changed my life in no time. I microdose. I still feel hungry and eat but it's just melted the fat off. My hormones are even more balanced than they were from the bioregulators. I have gained muscle as I train three times a week - hard. I was the last person I'd ever thought would go on these but geez.... it's changed my life and I have had ZERO side effects. My digestion has never been better!

I've made numerous changes to my health regime as recommended and highlighted by Huberman, and they have helped a lot. Daytime light was obvious to me, (and yes necessary) but viewing sunset light has changed the sleep game for me. I take NAC currently. I make sure to floss at night (something I overlooked). And I use the physiological sigh during high stress times. As well as stop hiccups when I want! lol. Really great podcast!!!

There’s a lot of dated information in some of the most common resources (what to expect when you’re expecting, the bump…) and I wish there was more information how women can thrive instead of just dealing with discomfort during this huge moment in our lives (and also how a partner can be supportive 😊).

Thank you very much, Dr. Huberman. I have type 2 diabetes, which developed after having gestational diabetes during all three of my pregnancies. After my third pregnancy at 39 years old, the diabetes remained. Despite my efforts to eat mostly vegetables and meat twice a day, my morning sugar levels were consistently high, ranging from 8 to 10.
I started taking Ozempic, and it has been wonderful for me. I've been on it for a year, taken a break for a year, and then used it again for another year, followed by another break. Now, I’ve been back on it for six months. I'm afraid I will have some side effects if I use it all the time, for 30 years (if I live that long). I don’t know what’s better, to die from the side effects of Ozempic or from side effects of diabetes? : )))

Of course, you’re right in that there *can be* reputable labs that sell quality products. I think the problem is w ppl taking products labeled for research only + “not for human consumption.” The research labs / products are not regulated for safety like pharmacies. This does not mean (and they did not say) all labs can only sell contaminated products They only differentiated btw regulatory standards @ “lab” vs “pharm” : (responsibly clarified) that research labs (some, not all) would be the sources selling “not for human consumption” labelled products and also that there is no mandatory independent lab testing to ensure safety and accuracy of ingredients - a serious concern for substances intended for injection.
Which leads me to question the irresponsible choices + ridiculous problem created by FDA ‘s recent banning of the numerous peptides: they are not protecting public if unregulated labs can still sell them, essentially handing the whole market share to these labs who might be safe but no one can know or hold them accountable if not.

What would you say about the effects of these peptides on someone with Growth Hormone Deficiency due to pituitary damage? I have GHD because of a brain tumor I had as a child/ the treatment for that tumor(surgeries, radiation, and chemo). Through research I have found in the past that there doesn’t seem to be any other alternative from growth hormone replacement. Also, I have had a horrific time finding a doctor that knows anything about growth hormone deficiency (especially in adults). I appreciate you having these dedicated doctors who really care about people’s overall health and awareness on here:) 👏🏻

Great episode so far -still listening- but wondering how to find a physician who is knowledgeable about peptide use! Brought BPC 157 up with my teenage son's gastroenterologist and he had no idea and did not embrace looking into it. Doc wanted to keep him on the medicines (i.e. corticosteroids, balsalazide, immunosuppressive drugs) that cause worse side effects than the actual autoimmune disease. Now how to get the Pentadeca Arginate for him??
Grateful you share your knowledge and conversations in your podcasts!

@@craigkonivermd@craigkonivermd Awesome conversation. I was a youth Olympian/national champion sailor and randomly lost the ability to stand and hold any weight on my feet. 5 years later after hell I got diagnosed with Crohn's but seemingly no connection; it acts like greirson gopalan syndrome but surely it's an associative problem to the crohns. Regardless, I second the comment above; hard to find a physician who understands. Hence why I'm on immunosuppressants and lyrica, some nexium. I live off grid in Tasmania so I'm healthy-ish but it's undulating. Obviously this isn't your fight but any advice would be greatly appreciated. BPC - 157 sounds like it has great potential.

I agree with the recommendation that a subtler should be helping with this but most docs don’t know about this stuff. I can’t get in to see the few that do! I have an autoimmune and when I try to get them to help me, I get the standard answer, well you’re older now, you have an auto immune, or worse still.. your a red head, your different!😢i eat really heathy (I do), I lift heavy, do HIIT/SIT, play golf and I feel like crap all the time!!! So frustrating!

Would love for you to do an episode on long covid. It’s one of the most fucked up things I’ve ever experienced in life. Roughly 65million people currently have it worldwide. I can’t work anymore it’s awful and there seems to be no treatment. I’m on month two but some people are years or more. Would love your help on this

I use the eye-dropper that comes with the Methylene Blue bottle to fill a gel capsule, then just down the capsule. Done. No staining.
