Oil & Filter Service - FN2 Honda Civic TYPE R

An Oil and filter change on the FN2 CTR. The oil filter was very tricky to remove so be prepared for that.

A hose clamp, an extension and a hammer 😂. No better way to get an oil filter off 👌🏼

The OEM honda oil filters are the same size, but much bigger holes, probably because it revs so high it aids free flowing of the oil. Nice work mate.

Thanks mate 🙏🏽 yeah the oil filter was a real pain to get off haha I saw that the OEM Honda ones came with a removal tool, in hindsight I probably should’ve got that one as would’ve been easier to remove the filter lol 😂

whacked an old flat head screwdriver through my oil filter to remove it .. still took some before it shifted.

Done mine myself last time mechanic quoted me 160 quid... i bought a socket set... oil... panel filter... air filter and jack stands for 120... took 20 mins and so easy... never pay for it again... now i have tools next service will be around 60 quid. You only learned by doing it.

So far seems decent mate, haven’t had to top it up yet, which is good
