Soo many fragmented apps and sooooo many more bugs. Microsoft apps are bloated and becoming impossible to use efficiently for those of us having been using computers for many many many years. Something as simple as OneDrive has at least 3 versions like Desktop, UWP and Mobile... one syncs and one does not. I find my entire company's productivity goes down because people spend time "using" these add-on non-core apps... so some program manager can generate reports or "pretty graphics"... Using of the apps overtakes doing real work. What a mess!
Agreed. So many sharepoint types - each with different features. If you rename a channel in Teams, it then won’t sync correctly in SharePoint / OneDrive. How and where you create a group impacts whether it shows up in Teams, SharePoint and Outlook. Sooooo confusing.

Totally agree, too many of them offer the same functionality, the distinction between them is too blurred. You end up with people in the same company or even team using different apps to do essentially the same job because it boils down to individual preferences, often to the detriment of good collaboration which is exactly the opposite of what they're trying to do

I bought the Office 365 Family version a few years ago. Almost every time I Shave opened any of its software, it is asking me for subscription. I have probably paid twice or three times more than $99 yearly subscription. There no phones any more to call more are the chats. I don't know what I should do. All my files are either Word or Excel. Can anybody tell me how to resolve this issue?

One of the most confusing aspects of having so many similar apps is knowing which one you're meant to use in which situation. I think Microsoft need to control this excess/bloat, are all of them really needed?

I've reached out to Microsoft about not being able to pin apps to the side bar in the web browser, but there's been no response as of now. I would like to be able to pin SharePoint and OneDrive to the side bar, but Microsoft seems to believe that I would rather use Forms and Sway. What's up with that? Please respond if you have the time, captain.
Could you tell me more about where you want to customize app tiles? Is that in the app launcher on office.com or on the new tab page in Edge? I remember on office.com and in the Microsoft 365 app launcher, there used to be app pin functionality, but it turned out very few users used it. We switched to a recent app model where you would see recent apps that you've used and it would also factor in how much you've used the apps (so one click on Sway wouldn't pollute the listing). If you don't use an app for some time, it would drop off. As long as you're using the various apps, you should see them on the side bar, which should make it easy to get back to your most important apps. Not sure who oversees the team these days for feedback... there's a feedback button on office.com, but it sees a high volume of feedback.

Far from an experienced user when it comes to these app and the web versions. I have a question, I have one drive synced on my windows PC so all my excel work is there across on computers. Hi, great videos on apps I didn't know existed. I just bought a new laptop and migrating everything over. I have been paying for a family 365 account for years and only using it for my outlook, so wasted a lot of money. Im trying to search and figure out what plan I should be on and expected a simple side by side comparison chart on the Microsoft site but could not find anything, then I called and wasted an hour, eventually the representative found a page that was not easily forwarded and is going to try and write out long hand the difference between the family account and the business account. She said she can only help with the business account, the family is a different department. Why so hard? So my question here, can you do a video explaining / comparing plans? Or maybe just a link to a page that shows the up to date Apps available? Also copilot is a subscription, but is on the Edge/Bing homepage. Is it the same Copilot? Thanks.

You'll need a Microsoft 365 Business Standard plan to gain access to Bookings. It runs for $12.50/month. Along with Bookings, you get all the standard Office apps, like Word, Excel, PowerPoint. It's a sad thing microsoft just changed their licenses. M365 used to be flexible. Cancel, expand, upgrade, downgrade your plan on the fly. Sadly no longer true :(. Do you know why microsoft has begun to turn this around? You can still go for a monthly plan but thats 20 percent more expensive
How do I solve it when I open the WORD and it lets me choose between 'Start your free trial' and 'Buy Microsoft 365'. I'm confused what should i do because when i ignored it, the WORD is inactive and was disabled. I thought it's for free or something, but this one lets me pay. This also happened with powerpoint.
Kevin: I watch your videos frequently. Two weeks ago My OC, Windows 10 computer crashed and I lost everything. I have been restoring and am almost back to where iw was. I could not find my Office 2007 disks and thus purchased Microsoft 365. I am using outlook 365 an twice I lost all the mail in my inbox. I have researched and cannot find how to get it back. Microsoft Works was a lot simpler.

Hey Kevin, great video as usual! I have a specific question about One Drive. You show it as an option to store and easily view pictures, like a Google Photos format almost. That`s awesome, but I don`t see the "Photos" tab at the MS365 business account. Am I missing something or is MS shutting down that option for paid users? Doesn`t make much sense to me. Hi, great videos on apps I didn't know existed. I just bought a new laptop and migrating everything over. I have been paying for a family 365 account for years and only using it for my outlook, so wasted a lot of money. Im trying to search and figure out what plan I should be on and expected a simple side by side comparison chart on the Microsoft site but could not find anything, then I called and wasted an hour, eventually the representative found a page that was not easily forwarded and is going to try and write out long hand the difference between the family account and the business account. She said she can only help with the business account, the family is a different department. Why so hard?
So my question here, can you do a video explaining / comparing plans?
Or maybe just a link to a page that shows the up to date Apps available?
Also copilot is a subscription, but is on the Edge/Bing homepage. Is it the same Copilot?

It's a sad thing microsoft just changed their licenses. M365 used to be flexible. Cancel, expand, upgrade, downgrade your plan on the fly. Sadly no longer true :(. Do you know why microsoft has begun to turn this around? You can still go for a monthly plan but thats 20 percent more expensive
How do I solve it when I open the WORD and it lets me choose between 'Start your free trial' and 'Buy Microsoft 365'. I'm confused what should i do because when i ignored it, the WORD is inactive and was disabled. I thought it's for free or something, but this one lets me pay. This also happened with powerpoint.
Kevin: I watch your videos frequently. Two weeks ago My OC, Windows 10 computer crashed and I lost everything. I have been restoring and am almost back to where iw was. I could not find my Office 2007 disks and thus purchased Microsoft 365. I am using outlook 365 an twice I lost all the mail in my inbox. I have researched and cannot find how to get it back.
