After days (weeks in total) of researching CRM & ERP options, solutions and capabilities, I've just found and watched a few of your videos and have got more out of them in a couple of hours of taking notes and initial planning for my business case, than anything other source of info. I love that you're straight to the point, informative but not info overload, and very concise. Thank you so much! I have a bit of catching up to do, but keep the great videos coming 👍👍
Thank you so much, that's exactly what I'm aiming for, to simplify and explain and make it easy to find the information you need, so I really appreciate your comment.
In less than half-an hour, I have gained the full understanding of what I have always wanted to know about this product. You have answered most of the questions I had. Thanks.
This is great - my organization is likely transitioning out of the system they're currently using, and a 10 minute summary like this could go a long way for folks who need an overview of what Dynamics can provide. Thanks!
This is really helpful! It's easy to get lost in the weeds of a specific part of Dynamics 365. So it's refreshing to see the entire environment explained in a succinct way like this. Thanks!
thanks for this overview. it was very informative. i am a business analyst who have not directly used ms dynamics 365 so this was great exposure for me to dive deeper
Fantastic video, Lisa. Your Power BI video intros greatly improved that learning portfolio. Now my D365 teammates are discovering your talents. Great stuff.
Seriously! You are awesome, thanks so much for breaking this down. I am interested in a role and they utilize the customer service portion of Dynamics 365. I love the Ghost Busters station wagon in the background, and I believe thats the Back to the Future DeLorean! I showed my son and he freak! Literally anything old school he loves.
Hi Lisa, thank you for your videos about dynamics 365. What are the modules of Dynamics 365? Are they Customer Engagement, Sales, Customer Service and Field Service, Marketing, Customer Insights, Customer Voice, Finance and Operations, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Human Resources, and Project Operations and Business Central? Can dynamics 365 connect with social media and linkedin?
Yes the Commerce app (e-commerce for a website) sits under F&O. If you’re looking for selling B2B from a sales point of view - managing account relationships and pipeline, that’s Dynamics 365 Sales
Do you have a video on Dynamics 365 Customer Service. I can't even figure out how to sync my outlook emails to contacts in Dynamics 365 Customer Service.
This is so great to update my knowledge about Dynamics 365. Anyways, do you have full tutorial for Dynamics 365 CRM both for Functional and Technical side? I am D365 F&O developer, and now I am looking to learn more about Dynamics 365 CRM. Your explaination so clear for me. I was starting with Power Apps tutorial form your channel. Thanks you Lisa! 😁
So far I’ve just done this tutorial for Dynamics 365 Sales Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales (CRM): Tutorial for Beginners ua-cam.com/video/3Lfs5fAc1bU/v-deo.html
Customer service is for Case Management, service tickets where you need to resolve customer enquiries, complaints, feedback etc, a call center type of secnario. Field Service is where you need to send skilled workers or tecnicians out into the field or to customer sites to complete work orders. They actually work seamlessly together, the customer database tables (account and contact) are the same, so you can go from a service request/ticket (customer service) and turn it into a work order (field service) if you have that use case. Or you can use either one alone.
This was a really helpful video! I only have one question if a company was looking forMicrosoft Dynamics 365 CE Software Engineer what would they be looking for? Would it be a person who knows how to use all of these applications or just a few? If so which ones should I learn? Thank You
Generally speaking the functional consultants and developers for Dynamics 365 are able to cover either (1) CRM - Sales, Service and sometimes also Marketing applications (although Marketing is its own specialty) or (2) ERP applications - finance, operations, supply chain. It is very rare for someone to be across both areas.
@@LisaCrosbie Thank you for the clarification. Would it be possible I could get your email to ask some questions as I am taking a course on Microsoft CRM and some of the language is confusing?
If you want to get a free trial to start with, go to dynamics.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics-365-free-trial/ - beyond that, yes, you need to purchase licenses to use it.
Hey Lisa, every time I go into a different tab and I go back to another tab in dynamics I have to refresh dynamics, so annoying .. Is this how it's supposed to be?
I'd suggest reaching out to a local Microsoft partner in you area who does Dynamics 365 implementations. They can guide you or give you specific advice.
Hi, How can a business avail Sales, Marketing and Service applications. Do they need to purchase licenses for each one of them or do they come bundled together as well?
Yes, you need to purchase licenses for each use for Sales and Service (although if a user needs both, the second one is considerably cheaper as a 'bundle' price). Marketing is licensed per tenant based on the number of people you reach with your marketing.
I’m looking for something that can be used within social work/direct service nonprofit case management. Is this something that would be suitable to manage clients and their assigned care workers or is this only useful for sales/business industry? We’ve used sales force but it’s not user friendly and complicated to use. This seems appealing because our organization uses Microsoft for everything.
Yes, I work for a Microsoft partner where we have built solutions exactly like this using Dynamics 365 - if you're in Australia reach out to info@barhead.com
I worked with ms dynamics for 2-3 months maybe, then had it on my cv but I keep getting contacted by recruiters and now I am curious, how long this will take me to learn most things? Is it still useful if I have no tech background?
I don't have a tech background, I've learned everything I know on the job, consuming a lot of learning content, and getting hands on experience and practice. A career with Dynamics 365 (low code) is definitely achievable without a tech background. The more you do the more you learn and you have to be committed to continuous learning. It's very hard to put a time frame on it - you could learn enough to get a certification in a week, but the more hands on experience you have the more valuable your experience really is to an employer. Getting a job as an internal D365 person is a more likely starting point than in consulting (which usually needs greater depth and length of experience to apply your skills across multiple scenarios). Good luck.
How does licensing work in a group environment. 3 businesses have independent customer lists that are part of the same business group and want to share a central contact list. Does that mean they need to purchase 3 of whatever licenses
If you’re looking at D365 Sales - every user needs a license. There are full licenses for people who use all the functionality and Team Member licenses for those who need read only basic access. You control the access to each independent list with security and permissions in the app, for who can read, edit, delete etc
