- With the fresh, fallen snow from Winter Storm Niko, I drove out to Mansfield Station to see the Amtrak trains make a few snowstorms of their own. Bay State Rail Videos joined me later in the day. Enjoy the video!
I think Acela trains are one of the most beautiful in the world.
whaaaaat i think you're espanol but the renfe is beautiful like my trains in italy
@@filgiupo4853 Can I have some chicken broccoli and ziti
Serious speed and beautiful rolling stock!!! That's a good example of what can be done with high speed rail in the States, a country built by the railways. Very good filming, impressive! Cheers from Athens, Greece!
Panos G - Railway videos from Europe Thank you very much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video yes! These machines never fail to impress!
Love the Acela, its the American TGV. But I can't wait until the Avelia Liberty in 2020
The Avelia Liberty is just the new Acela
My goodness that acela train can move thanks for the excellent video
who said tha americans trains are too low compared at europeans trains ? ...i m french and those trains are simply amazing !!!!
Francois Gauthier finally! Someone who isn't snobby!
I agree, while top speeds and coverage of European systems might be more, the comfort and elegance of European trains cannot compare to Amtrak.
Keep watching the American railroads, my French brother; we'll soon have faster trains imported from Germany and Japan!
Yay, thanks for the opinion!!
Well the locomotive powering the first train was a Eurostar.
Great photography. A sight you never see in Australia. High speed trains in the snow.
Awesome vid dude. Love the shots from the parking lot mountains
Most awesome vid!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love trains in the snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oof, that frosty smack of cold when the train flies by.
Great video! greetings from Argentina!
*Pumped up kicks*
Cool shots.
Excellent video! Love the snowstorms the trains create and your edits made the time span interesting!
4:40 love that angle too bad its not year around
I used to be at a train station with my grandpa like this brings back good memories but makes me sad
I seem to remember reading that it was usual operating practice for electrics in icy weather to run with just the trailing pantograph up. An old Pennsy GG1 hogger was quoted in the article as saying he would often run with the forward pant up just to knock the ice off the wires so the back one could make better contact. The problem was the icicles that came crashing onto his windshield!
Superb video and audio! Well done!
nice job with the video
sue!
Your best work!
I like it, more please
At 3:17, the Acela loco doesn't have its pantograph up! I have never seen that before
Short Hood Forward Productions that means that they can run without electricity! Illuminati confirmed
Short Hood Forward Productions the rear pantograph was up so it had enough DC

Let’s get GingerRailfan Productions to 1k
DANG HE WAS FLYING!
At 0:30
Shit! He was standing way too close too!
3:30 Train approaching please remain behind the yellow line
Girl: What line. **Steps Forward**
Just wondering, why where all the Acela's in the begging at a slow speed limit when the ACS's where going 125? This is Mansfield, Acela's they 150 here...
Super impressive. I have one question though. Do they not stop at these stations?
BCbouy53 No, these stations are commuter rail stops
And they say our trains are too slow
1:06 OMG😱
When you hear the "train approaching" message, you have about 10 seconds to step back! 😲
An Acela and northeast regional don’t have bells but some bells come to Acela so it might happen
What
66stacker76 that makes 0 sense.
Lol 3:31person goes closer to the tracks😅
wow, nice quality, which camera are you using
i guess that green building is white now
I thought that it was interesting at 0:30 and 1:35 that the two Acela's had an electric bell rather than a real bell like the other Acela's
Et-han Powell All Acela power cars are equipped with e-bells now
高速走行を間近で観られるという点では日本とは迫力が違いすぎる…
観てみたいなぁ
2:35 to 2:50 was my fav...
Wow blasting trains what was the speed of these trains?
Muhammad Azeem Amtrak Northeast Regionals go 125 mph and Acela trains go 150 mph.
i can`t hear the bell...is that allowed...lol
Çhristopher w Henry and like train
how come the acelas are going slower than the normal amtraks
TopJoshGames that’s what I wonder - the traditional Amtrak can really move even though it’s the Acela that’s supposed to be built for speed.
The problem is when a train goes 150+ the stations are supposed to be built with 4 tracks instead there are 2. This causes trains to lower speeds due to trains ahead
lol slow Acela. I think a snail passed it.
BnsfRail4736 hahahhaahhahahahaha
Faster than your fat self
If you put it on x2 then the trains will go fast in the vid
They need to stop in the station
Slow not low
european tgv's better
Then don’t watch American train videos
@@matthewhanna9115 Nah make me laugh how usa is slow asf
haminco hamicno² we cant help that. We were forced into cars during ww2 and the consequences have followed up to today. We have foreign countries helping us
@@matthewhanna9115 Believe me that ww2 has more handicaped Europe thn Usa
haminco hamicno² handicapped has nothing to do with what I said. The USA was once a train filled place but we were forced out of trains into cars for war parts and then interstates started being built and train travel decreased. The point is some countries like Brazil doesn’t have trains at all so we’re getting there
