In 2015 I went to the Italian GP. Stayed in Milan and got the the train to Monza each day. I would say most of the people who were getting the train from Milan central to Monza were tourists there for the race, they then packed onto shuttle buses like sardines at Monza station and were transported to the track. Each day I walked from the station to the track through the town and through the park. And it was absolutely amazing. Beautiful town Monza and beautiful park full of natural wonder. If you ever get the chance to go to Milan, take the train and walk around Monza, grab a coffee and drink it all in
omg! brings back memories! I went to Monza last April, it was very beautiful and peaceful. the people are very nice, too. Then I took a train from Milan to Interlaken. The atmosphere in Interlaken was what I always imagined it would be, even more wholesome. Can’t wait to go back there.
Brings back some great memories. My first train trip into Switzerland was from Milano Centrale to Lugano. I call this area "where the palm trees meet the alps". Just great scenery. Thanks for posting.
Train travel is the best & Civilized way to travel, see a country. I travel long distance by train and also travel between San Diego, Los Angeles & Oxnard, CA when I’m home in the San Diego area for visits up to a week. I alternate my visits between Los Angeles & Oxnard when I ‘m home in the San Diego area from the Tucson area where I’m now in the long process of trying to move back to the San Diego area where I belong and want to be or in the Philippines where my heart is & always will be.

When I see this rail system, I can only say, as an American, that I am sooo envious of Europe. USA is so backwards when it comes to public transportation. Now, with Trump, might as well start pulling horses and wagons.
As a frequent traveler to Europe, yes, we're very much behind. The reason however is rooted in the Auto industry, American highway system and 50's vision of how American travel would predominantly take place. Historically, the automobile was deemed the primary means of mass transit from early on. Europe, devastated from WW2, didn't get the same jump as its' economy/infrastructure was in ruins and its auto industry en masse, late to arrive compared with us.
Did you stay for the entire day or come back the following morning ? I’m asking because I’ll be in Milan in December and I would explore Switzerland since it’s close by.
My case was different: I went to Zürich for business and then flew from Zürich Airport to Budapest. I guess you would need more than one day to explore Zürich.
It was some time ago so I can't remember now but you can check the actual fares on the SBB website. I think Swisspass can be used (I didn't use it, it was actually a business-trip for me) but you better check this too on the website.
Grazie! Thank you from Tokyo Japan. ありがとうございました。

Next time take a morning train so we could actually see something🤣
Appreciate it.
The scenery here feels different from our country Indonesia.
Nature in Indonesia is generally green.
Depends on the time of year. Unlike Indonesia, we have seasons in Europe.
