Thank you so much for this video. I've been in a planner and journal funk all year. I bought all of the hobonichi's and have barely used them. This made me feel incredibly guilty because I spent a lot of money on them. Now after watching this I'm giving myself permission to let go of the guilt and be relaxed in the fact that I can pick them up any time and use them regardless of dates or what I initially wanted to use them for. Really great video 💕
Thank you so much! I know what it's like to get excited about buying things and then not using it or having buyers remorse but if you just walk away for a bit and come back with a clear mind you might find a new light in them!
Very cool to see how you re-use them. I rarely go back to previously put aside journals, unless they're theme/special topic journals, but might have to try it at some point. I love the watercolor sketches you add throughout.
Thank you for another great video🌸. You definitely gave me inspiration to just repurpose my little a6 hobonichi, and not feel guilty about it😃! Yay! It will still get used!
Vicky - This was a great video idea. You are so resourceful and creative - it blows me away. And I love your passion for fountain pens and really high quality paper. I'm going to go back to some of my half filled journals and try and breathe some new life into them. thanks for being so inspiring! Jessica, Team KIT
Thank you so much for sharing! I just started all kinds of journaling this year (bible, bullet, diary, fauxbonichi) as well as trying different planners. I'm starting to collect. You've encouraged me that's it's ok to continue using what I have!!! Cherry Ice is on my wishlist!
Your video really has me wanting to get my notebooks together instead of adding on and leaving them scattered. Thanks a lot. I am going to get my books together.
I really enjoyed this video and it was really helpful. For a while I've been thinking what's wrong with me, pick a journal, planner, or whatever and be done with it! You've helped me pinpoint why I was having a problem, I'd get bored. Switching from planner to planner or journal is my way of shaking things up a bit. I'm currently working in the new Crossfield from Nanami paper. Thanks so much for sharing and I'm sorry you've had a rough pregnancy.
Thank you for sharing! I have stacks of half-used notebooks and journals. I feel terrible that all those pages go to waste! But, at the same time, I'm also very much a compartmentalist. Each book has a specific purpose... May need to experiment, though. Also, the 'pagan' calendar you referenced in the beginning of the flip-through is what we call a "Wheel of the Year", it shows the eight primary Sabbats (holidays) for many western pagans (wiccans, witches, etc.) through all four seasons.
I also watch every one of your videos Vicky. Can you please let us know where you got that Moon schedule thingy?? Also can you do a video showing how you can change out your little beads and trinkets on your travelers notebooks. GREAT video Vicky, as usual. I'm so relieved that I am not the only one that likes to jump around and change things up at times....I have a different color TN for each month of the year. I live seasonally and like to change things out seasonally. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Mamey! Sorry here is the link for the moon card www.etsy.com/ca/shop/BirdandBeeCo. I can surely do a video about beads and trinkets. I love living seasonally too!!
I know this has nothing to do with what your talking about but I really want to thank thank thank you for getting me into fountain pens thankyou Vicky you are so an inspiration to me and i cant afford these but i have my own take on journals and calendar books bullet journals if you have heard of them Your my inspiration for creativity
I loved your video and how encouraging to reuse something😄 I have tossed barely used in the past because did not occur to me to repurpose a book. I have narrowed down the type of books I buy, mostly Tomoe River paper type books. I heard you share about Rhodia before, will try that. I know after this I can house a book and pick up later to continue on. I am doing mostly Omni type journaling kind of everything in one book.
Enjoyed your video! I've been thinking about this same thing lately and I finally found a size I like for journaling but prefer another size for planning, etc. Sometimes we just need to change things up rather than buy a new one! :)
Great video and as always very upbeat and inspiring. I would really like to see how and where you store your filled inserts once you have finished them. And do you date them on the outside or group them by dates or how do you organize your finished notebooks? Thanks for all your videos, I watch every one.
Most of the time the books are associated with a season and they are memory books so they go in back of the photo album that I have that coincides with it. Other times I just store them on a shelf and they have the date on the cover or spine.
wow! And here I thought was the only one with many beautiful planners on my shelf. Lately its been so overwhelming. This month I want to use only 2 of them. I realize that its my planner and no matter how far behind I am it doesn't matter right; or if I dont use stickers or washi . What if I just want it just me on that page my own art? We all have our moments. Thank you for sharing. How many planners do you use daily?
great video..and yes! inspiring!! I have a master index in a TN personal size that gives those brass numbers a purpose. Every insert has a brass number and the master index has the #insert for that collection or challenge or or or...etc. Then I don't have to hunt in more than one insert. I do have a question. What sizes are your 'flapjack' books?
That's a great idea! Thank you for sharing! The flapjack is a wide size so I can fit the moleskine cahier notebooks or the notebooks that are the may designs they will fit easily.
I can't watch your videos anymore. Every time I end up ordering another book from Joey. They are so perfect. Trying the secretarial pockets this time in a Personal Burnt Honey Personal is my perfect size. happgfor you and your new baby. I missed if it's. A boy or a girl. 🚼♥️
do you follow any criteria on what to toss and what to keep when any of your books/planners are completed? i try to hoard them even when don't have a sentimental value, because for all the effort or decorations i put on the pages or because they where tome river paper :)
Hello MissVicky!! I was wondering where do you buy your hobonichis? I'm interested in getting one, but the shipping cost is what scares me. Or could you please recommend me a cheaper alternative? Thanks a lot! Lovely, lovely video. I got so inspired from your last videos about journaling
Vicky, I really wanted to take your daily journaling class, but there seems to be some kind of a glitch on the website: it does not let me check out without registering, and when I try to register, no e-mail with a password comes :( Have you heard of anyone else having that issue? What did they do to fix it? Thank you!
Hi Maria, I did have one gal who had issues but otherwise I haven't heard from anyone. What I found is if you try too many times there is a cache issue. Could you try clearing your cache and clear the site from your history and see if that helps at all. If not could you shoot me an email at missvickybee@gmail.com and I can see what I can do!
How do you maintain any kind of continuity in your planners and journals and avoid losing information? That's my biggest problem. I just end up scattered, and like you I love to try all kinds of new things and follow all of my ideas but it ends up looking like a bomb went off and I just have bits and pieces of planners all over the place. It's fun but frustrating.
I can surely do a more in depth video if you would like on how I don't lose information. The secret for me is to continuously look through my planners. The calendars that are a month view are always the ones I focus on so that when I move them around I know they are up to date! I will work on a video to help better explain this!!
Great video Vicky - I like that you don't limit yourself to one journal or one individual note - great fun - thanks for sharing!

Thanks so much!!! You fill your journals pretty well it seems like you don't jump around too much!
Thank you for another great video🌸. You definitely gave me inspiration to just repurpose my little a6 hobonichi, and not feel guilty about it😃! Yay! It will still get used!
Love to hear that!! All those little notebooks deserve a second, sometimes a third and fourth chance to have a purpose!

The moon calendar you had. I can not seem to find it. Can you please let me know what link it is in please. Thanks

Lovely, lovely video. I got so inspired from your last videos about journaling
What is your favourite or chosen paper for fountain pen style journals - Rodia or Tomorrow River
Rhodia is by far my favorite for writing on. It's like heaven and the tomoe river for water color and drawing.
great video -- very inspirational -- thank you. btw - the creepy guy is edgar allan poe, i believe. love that addition! :)
LOL Thank you for sharing that!! That thought did cross my mind but I wasn't sure if it was him or not!
Where all can you get B6 tns?
