I like how traxxas creates whole new classes and they don’t stick on for a while then just take off out of nowhere
This should be something that is ready to buy
It would probably retail at $799.99
@@Alanc419 more like 400
YESSS I WANT AND WAS GONNA BUY THE DRAGSTER(BUT THISSS IS SOOOOOO MUCH NICER AND COOLER TO ME
I'd buy but not for more than a standard slash
Why? It's more special when you build it yourself in my opinion
The determination to use only Traxxas parts is impressive.
Yup they coulda just used rpm wide front a arms.
@@erikm2003 facts. And they used proline bodies but never said their name
@@RCTrend that's not proline its Parma
@@RCTrend and they have the link to the bodies in the description
and pricy
Still waiting on this off road xo-1!!!!!!!
joel lofquist we neeeeeed one
Blahahahaha 🤣🤦♂️
What about Bandit 4x4?
Supercharged Sidness they had a pole a wile back to see what people wanted to see built an off-road xo-1 was one of the choices and I believe it won but they never ended up doing it they did this one and a 100mph slash but no off road xo-1 I’m just going to build my own with all my spares I’ve been pulling off my slash and xo
Yup
next xo-1 to rallycar
This should be a buyable product!
I'd grab this baby in a minute
Ever heard of the funny car it’s similar
Sooner Gaming *No*
Quabilo Yoink no?
*no*
I built my slash Dragster from a brushed LCG 4wd model. I locked up the front diff and used the shaft and a servo as my line lock. It works pretty good .... For what it is. It also allowed me to displace the weight of the vehicle better.
How does lock front wheels ?
😍😍😍 I want that charger body for my slash 4x4 😎😎😎
Traxxas Please create a drag Pro-Street or Pro-Mod OEM version!!!!!
*Its called the Slagster...*
Seriously?
#runningoutofshittodo
Cheesy trxxas names
Apparently slag racing is a thing now 😂😂😂
I Like videos like this. I love swapping traxxas parts and creating new cool rc traxxas vehicles.
PLAYERS FIRST I agree. I am making a 2wd Slash/Stampede/Bandit mix currently myself. It's beginning to look a little bit like Mad Max.
No you dont
Dan Brando ?
Damn mass production these and sell them!
They do. It's called the Team Associated DR10.
@@WillieBeard LOL!!!!
What so you think, the new Drag Slash is?
@@WillieBeard The Drag Slash will smoke a DR-10, right out the box. I know, I have one.
The traxxas slash is the true master of all RC cars.. it can do everything
I love that it uses jato arms. I have been using those for long travel on my slash for a while. Should do a video of that for people.
Who's back after the release of the new drag slash
I've found the slash to be one of the most versatile platforms in RC. Very easy to build just about whatever you want from it
Only versatile due to a similar psychological process of sexual repression traits driving people with 1 extra IQ point above average to moddify these weak platforms to come 1% closer to everything else that is way cheaper, far more durable and faster out the box. I really wonder.... what level of financial fraud the parent company engages in to keep from going bankrupt. Maybe not.... after all, the customer gets what they pay for lol.
@@urineanimal oh a traxxas hater
@@rattlehead7281 XO1 and Xmax are pretty much the only ones worth paying for. Everything else falls short and is inferior to other similar class of rc. And well, i can make one more exception for that nitro awd street car i forget the name with a 3.3cc or similar engine?
@@urineanimal some arent that good like the bandit but the design is quite old. The stampede alright. But in my opinion if your looking for an afordable basher id have to say the slash. Its a great basher with a few upgrades (shock caps) and can be fun for spec slash racing. I own a brushless slash 2wd and its good fun. May not be the greates track car but it is a decent basher. Also got a tmaxx and i love it. In the last bit are you referring to the nitro 4tec?
Now I want another slash just to do this! This is so cool! I love how versatile these trucks are!!❤️😃😃
Oh ya Drag Slash! Looks like a bunch of fun!
You should make an off-road xo1
This is so cool! You guys even posted all the parts needed for the build. Great Job! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Can you guys do a Slash 4x4 to 1/10 UDR with the TRX4 rear axle :D :D :D
Ooh now that's good thinkin 👍
I bet that video would get a lot of views
would take a lot of fabrication. Nothing that would be reasonable and easy
The gear ratios will be different . Trx4 has portal axles
@@markfairhall3671 Hey, that's their problem ;D
Again, this is why you are the best company in the world of RC 🤟🏻👍🏻✌🏻💪🏻
Traxxas vehicles are so versatile! Now I want to make a Slashster. Great step-by-step video. Thanks.
They should sell all the parts in a kit so you don't have to find everything and you can just buy it all at once.
how bout some chrome front wheels to match the back
I’d love to see a Desert Racer turned Nitro or a Nitro Slash turned into a Desert Racer style with the live axle and linked rear end!
Why didn't yall just paint the rims before you glued the tires on?
*Listening to quiet music so has sound up*
Commentator “now reassemble the motor”
*Me goes deaf*

hahahah
👉🥴👈
You guys here at traxxas are awesome
I have a nova body and the same Traxxas funny car slicks and skinny front wheels, bout to convert my 2wd slash thanks for the inspiration TRAXXAS, awesome video make more like this plz
Pretty cool that you guys are using our bodies in this video
Link that ! Nice bodies!!!
Cool modification! And it is cool that you release this video how to build it 👍👍👍
Can you do something like that with the slash 1/16 ?
What if you just start with a jato?? I was thinking of converting the jato to brushless
I got a question can you use 1/9 size goodyear 8 spoke on a 3s drag slash for rear tireso
wow looks so cool
What would be good to use to maintenance latrax Teton diff gears?
Awesome stuff traxxas I like this idea !!!!!!!.
What parts do I need to build a drag car if I've already got the Traxxas low center-of-gravity
So what does the speaker do on this and the original truck
Why did you take the caster blocks off to remove shocks?
might aswell make a new dragster platform, this is excessive.
Agreed
809nel watching him twist that f’n screwdriver for 25 minutes is excessive
Will the Proline 69 Nova body fit with this setup?
I have a regular slash that I’ve upgraded to a vxp bit it has a regular chassis is that ok
Do u have to use jato front arms? Or would bandit ones or the ruslers fit?
Made me wanna go play with my slash . I'm gone have fun guys great video
You had me all the way up to drilling holes in the top of the body for the speaker mount. I would’ve gone with Velcro myself as well as Velcro for the body mounts for a more authentic look. It’s too bad there isn’t a way to narrow the front end for a more realistic drag work and getting rid of some of the negative camber on the front end would be ideal.
So are jato arms in the front better than bandit arms???
What size is the tool to take out the tire
Awesome cool RC 😎👍
You guys should build a street bandit, I’m hoping to do a series soon on building a traxxas bandit built for street racing.
I did something like this years ago a rustler. Narrowed the track width with str4 arms if i remember correctly. I do remember that an hpi savage Cuda body fit perfect when I was done. All metal transmission, fiegao motor and a hacker esc. Kinda wish I had kept it that way.
My rwd slash much like this one I always had problems either blowing off tires or body catching air and flipping...
This is an excellent video makes me want to build one 😎👍
will this work with a nitro slash?
Rally 4tec 2.0?
ford fiesta 4tec. its on the traxxas site.
No such thing as a 4tec with a fiesta body.
With the number of parts swapped out, why wouldn't you just start with a VXL Bandit and just swap in an LCG chassis? That's what i did and it was a super simple swap...and why use the Jato arms in the front?
How much do all the parts cost together
What type of tool is that you’re using
Can it fit 200mm body’s?
come on traxxas just make an rtr already!! I don't want to do all this. I just want to buy it! ;) :)
Parking lot racing slash set up next?
when is the build on turning a stampede 4x4 into an xmaxx??
What was the thumbnail body part number?
What's the cost on this parts list?
This is awesome
Just how much does this coolness cost $?
I'm still waiting for a RWD Muscle Car that jumps like a SC-Truck. #dukesofhazzard
Great video!
Awesome!!!
Man good thing it looks so easy to do lol holy cow
Cool video
I'm putting on the j concepts fox body mustang what rear body mount do I need?
Pro line adjustable body mount kit
YES I NEED THIS
Do you not offer the Slash with LCG chassis anymore? You have to buy a reg Slash and then buy the LCG chassis?
Nice but how much would this cost to build
How can I lower my Nitro sport
Kinks to the Traxxas Slash Vehicles dont work? Is this Model discontinued?
I seen people add more of a rake look (lower front)
15:22 should have used adjustable camber links
wouldnt it just be easier to use a bandit? you are using all bandit parts anyway.
How much to buy this
This is cool
When I came to the traxxas place in Texas I saw this in the back and I also saw a X-max with paddle tires
Do you guys have any plans of doing an RTR kit?
Yes
Is this AWD?
So good the made it from the factory
Drag slash yesssssss
You can use rpm wide front a arms. You don’t have to modify them at all
We need another one of these that’s a touring car
Slash 2wd with lcg out of the box???? When did that happen? Also, 58076-21 isn’t an available part number on traxxas direct.
58076-21 is no longer available However, you can see the current 58076-24 model here: traxxas.com/products/models/electric/slash-vxl-oba-tsm
0:05 oh yeah! I thought he was famous for his guitar skills and high hat
This looks more involved than an LS swap into anything. Just make one we can buy.
There are different ways to get similar results I just use stiffer shocks, on road tires and the proline body mounts with the stock Raptor body it's over powered and handles fine and would handle better with the mid motor chassis
More involved than throwing a v12 in a Miata (yes it’s been done)
@@soonergaming4747 I need proof
@@98ranger48 ua-cam.com/video/dVT_zD9FYtk/v-deo.html
Very nice
Can I do this also on a nitro slash?
I doubt it since the suspension setup is completely different
Why not use the rear A- arms on the front? Cheaper, less chopping, just need a spacer and longer pins. Use to do this on my old stampede 2wd to make the front equally long as the rear. Just like on a 4x4 stampede.
Is this possible with the traxxas slash 4x4??
Yes
My slash is so beat up... I don'y know if I can even take any of the screws out :/
Can you do a nitro one
heres an idea traxxas , release it as a kit , maybe without the body so it can be customised , and without wheels , as i reckon the j concept wheels would be a better choice , i for one would buy it . . . .
How much would it cost to buy all the stuff they used?
voiish around 400 if you buy a roller of eBay, cheap brushless system and drag wheels.
