Also got a tmaxx and i love it. In the last bit are you referring to the nitro 4tec?
I built my slash Dragster from a brushed LCG 4wd model. I locked up the front diff and used the shaft and a servo as my line lock. It works pretty good .... For what it is. It also allowed me to displace the weight of the vehicle better.
You had me all the way up to drilling holes in the top of the body for the speaker mount. I would’ve gone with Velcro myself as well as Velcro for the body mounts for a more authentic look. It’s too bad there isn’t a way to narrow the front end for a more realistic drag work and getting rid of some of the negative camber on the front end would be ideal.
I have a nova body and the same Traxxas funny car slicks and skinny front wheels, bout to convert my 2wd slash thanks for the inspiration TRAXXAS, awesome video make more like this plz
I did something like this years ago a rustler. Narrowed the track width with str4 arms if i remember correctly. I do remember that an hpi savage Cuda body fit perfect when I was done. All metal transmission, fiegao motor and a hacker esc. Kinda wish I had kept it that way.
There are different ways to get similar results I just use stiffer shocks, on road tires and the proline body mounts with the stock Raptor body it's over powered and handles fine and would handle better with the mid motor chassis
TRAXXAS : PLEASE MAKE A RTR DRAG CAR ! You're throwing away money letting the aftermarket companies outfit your off-road slashes ! The trend is here to stay, JUMP IN THE GAME !
heres an idea traxxas , release it as a kit , maybe without the body so it can be customised , and without wheels , as i reckon the j concept wheels would be a better choice , i for one would buy it . . . .
Why not use the rear A- arms on the front? Cheaper, less chopping, just need a spacer and longer pins. Use to do this on my old stampede 2wd to make the front equally long as the rear. Just like on a 4x4 stampede.
With the number of parts swapped out, why wouldn't you just start with a VXL Bandit and just swap in an LCG chassis? That's what i did and it was a super simple swap...and why use the Jato arms in the front?
This vehicle doesn't have drive shafts, those are called AXLES. Drive shafts run down the center of the vehicle connecting the motor to the differential.
I like how traxxas creates whole new classes and they don’t stick on for a while then just take off out of nowhere
The determination to use only Traxxas parts is impressive.

The traxxas slash is the true master of all RC cars.. it can do everything
This is so cool! You guys even posted all the parts needed for the build. Great Job! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I love that it uses jato arms. I have been using those for long travel on my slash for a while. Should do a video of that for people.
I Like videos like this. I love swapping traxxas parts and creating new cool rc traxxas vehicles.
PLAYERS FIRST I agree. I am making a 2wd Slash/Stampede/Bandit mix currently myself. It's beginning to look a little bit like Mad Max.
No you dont
Dan Brando ?
I've found the slash to be one of the most versatile platforms in RC. Very easy to build just about whatever you want from it
