My life got pushed to an edge by bullying from Singapore military, in the end I became 33 years old without savings so I was forced to an edge with no choice but to visit 2 prostitute, I had fever after that and 7 months later I had herpes zoster aka shingles. I was diagnosed with HIV in November of 2021, was only 19. It’s crazy because I never not once felt sick, had no kind of symptoms. It’s important to get tested. Hell even after being diagnosed, I still wasn’t educated, I learn more and more about it each day. I be grateful for still being here, and though it’s no longer a death sentence. It’s still a LIFE sentence. Stay protected and get tested at all cost

You seem very comfortable with your diagnosis and happy in general, and I am happy for you because it seems like you have been able to overcome this. Each person has a different journey. There are some that have additional barriers to figure out. I believe back in the 80"s and 90"s drugs and alcohol was a big part in the lifestyle. It is possible that then individuals coping and escape skills included un resolved hurt and pain from their past. Today society and communities has more to offer resulting in healthier lifestyles. If you are one of these individuals seek support. Build support.

I am not into drugs or alcohol and don’t do either. Sex was my Achilles heel. I am now HIV+ after letting my guard down about 15 months ago with someone I always liked and got the opportunity to date him when he broke up with his former bf. Anyways it’s a big price to pay and I do have some regrets but I’m on HIV medication and it seems to be working. I don’t judge anyone anymore.

Thanks for the video and you are so brave to speak about it publicly like this. It is so so very interesting to me to see how they ( the powers that be in America) are treating individuals of the general masses in relation to HIV/AIDS these days. These so called treatments which are being produced for pharmaceutical companies are actually bits and pieces of the actual cure though........ Just think about it guys..when was the last time you have seen or heard of HIV/ AIDS babies in America?
The babies and kids ( as well as participants of certain research level program )always secretly got the cure here once the cure was created by a University in the early 1990s. Wake up guys don't allow big pharma and bureaucracy in America control your lives and destinies for corporate profits like this! contact your representation Washington and demand the laws be changed and or take big pharma down by changing the laws of this land and way things are done by yourselves.. They want you to live with the disease while they make money off of you. If you don't believe me then there is information out online now on this matter and you can also ask John Hopkins University Medical system about it as well as watching the PBS networks program called " The end of Aids".....The cure has been around for decades now guys and luckily some brave individuals came forward in 2016 ( time the Prince the singer died and those rumors AIDS on him went public even though he didn't actually have the disease or virus...) and this past year to try to tell the truth to the masses verses having to release their cures in small communist countries ( who have no political issues with it or big pharma corporations around to hide it) instead of America due to our politics, lack of of leadership within politics on the issue and lack of activity on the US citizens in mass of trying go to the truth and all hidden cures for particular diseases out there. The issue of certain demographics and communities being too reckless when it come to sexual activities is also an issue when it comes to anyone trying g to release cures in America so you guys have to be more responsible and have more respect and uphold integrity when it comes to human lives period if you truly want these cured out in mass more..In other words, you as a society have to responsible every day and you can't be reckless in life for the cures for a lot of things to be released to you.Otherwise I kind of agree with them by hiding so much of this stuff from you guys in certain demographics for you are too reckless with human beings lives on this planet and in life to be cured..And that society must earn it and how them they deserve it.

Mine started in 2010 or around there. Bed sweats. Every single night I’d wake up with my bed soaking wet - even if I used just a sheet. Then I popped up an egg sized lump in my neck. My doctor sent me to a surgeon that cut it out and biopsied it. I had DLBCL - stage 3 lymphoma.
Since my cancer was stage 3 (meaning above and below my diaphragm) they estimated I had cancer for at least 5 years and had no clue. On my first visit with my oncologist, he told me that with that type of cancer, they always do an HIV test.
I went back the following week to start chemo - and he told me that I was positive. Beyond that, if you have HIV with that cancer, you were considered to have AIDS. I had grown up in the age that an AIDS diagnosis meant certain death.
I HAD THE BEST oncologist in the world, he rolled his chair over to me and said, “15 or 20 years ago, we’d have sent you home and told you to get your affairs in order, but now, you will end up just fine.” Then he grabbed my hands and looked at me straight in the eyes again, and said, “you are going to die someday. We all are, but you won’t be dying as long as I’m your doctor and NOT any time soon. Just do what your doctors tell you to do, and you’ll probably outlive me (I was 50 at the time).”

This is a wonderful video. An important point to remember is it if you have tested HIV negative ,it means your HIV negative today. You may still have been infected and not have produced antibody response ;or you may still become infected in the future. If you are in a high-risk group, please retest every 12 weeks. Help and treatment are available everywhere. Get tested ;get help ;get treated.

I haven't had THAT many symptoms before I found out about my diagnosis but I distinctively remember having really bad vertigo and fainting a couple of times at work. While that happened I also had really high fever along with the "lost zest for life" that you mentioned. The last symptom(s) I had that rang alarm bells was PRETTY intense. My fever had gotten REALLY high and my joints were creaking in pain. No matter what I did I would always wake up in a giant pool of sweat and it hurt to walk to the rest room. I have been under diagnostics for almost 3 years for what they thought was MS, then Alzheimer's, than Meneirres, then ALS!! then finally to congestive heart failure and blood disease. I am still undiagnosed and they did also test for aids. Just talking about such a serious illness in general much less one that's stigmatized and the way you speak is so amazing. You are so brave and straight forward and such a fighter. Completely exhausted, and with these multitude of symptoms you just never gave up. It seems you spent your last ounce of energy trying again and again and I can't believe how strong you are and how much hope you inspire in someone like me who has unrelated conditions but multiple conditions not always diagnosed. These are the signs of HIV...at first you feel ok, then you feel weak and crash, then you recover and finally your overall health goes down. What HIV does is destroys your cd4+ cells. There are good drugs available now and life expectancy and near normal...but still. You all need to take precautions.

Try being a closeted teenager in the 80’s. I remember reading about this “gay cancer” that was killing only gay men. I worried throughout the 80’s that I had AIDS because I knew inside I was gay., and I wasn’t even sexually active! I constantly checked for spots in my mouth and on my skin. It was torture. I finally got a test in the late 80’s and you had to wait up to three weeks for results. Talk about anxiety! Needless to say, I was negative, joined the Air Force and didn’t come out until 1993. Waiting to come out saved my life. A lot of gay guys I met in the 90’s died, and so young. You couldn’t walk into a gay bar without seeing a memorial poster for whoever died that week. It was the big elephant in the room. Nobody ever talked about HIV. Unfortunately, I got complacent in the early 2000’s and became infected. I have to say that HIV saved my life. I was on the gay party train and couldn’t stop using ecstasy, coke and meth on the weekends. So stereotypical, right? I turned to drugs after a tragic death in my family. The drugs were consuming me, physically and financially. I tested positive in 2002, and I stopped the drugs cold turkey the day I found out my status. Back then, the thought was don’t take meds until you get close to having AIDS because the doctors didn’t want you to become immune to the meds and then die. My doctor let me get down to 350 T cells and then started the cocktail in 2007. Now they’ve changed course and treat the infection right away. They just didn’t know enough at the time. I’ve been undetectable for 11 years now, but do have some liver issues from the meds. I also became diabetic which is common among HIV patients. But I enjoy life and feel pretty good. I’m so glad that the darkness of so much death has been halted by modern medicine. If only the government had cared more in the beginning, we would have prevented so many deaths. Take care and have a wonderful life!

I know. It’s the same with some people and hypertension…they say they have no health history when you ask, but states they take lisinopril for blood pressure yet go on to deny hypertension as their diagnosis because their Bp isn’t high anymore. It’s like, no shyt, the lisinopiril controls the bp because you still have hypertension. Even if the med brings the bp down you still have the condition.

@@grimreaper9477 I had fingernail fungus, and I was feeling dizzy or lightheaded at some point. These two signs made me to convince myself that I might have a STD or something related. My whole fear was rooted from an exposure I had with a girl, since then I was curious until those mentioned symptoms made it worse. At first I ran ECG test and the doctor encouraged me to run the HIV test as well since I was curious about the fingernail fungus. The dizziness might be as a result of an ear little problem that I had or it was due to my late breakfast for almost five years due to school. The doctor advised me to eat on time because it might be as a result of low blood sugar. Now I am free from the HIV anxiety.

And then finally got tested after a year and in my case it turned out I had gonorrhea with no typical symptoms. (wasn’t sexually active for months at this point).
