My life got pushed to an edge by bullying from Singapore military, in the end I became 33 years old without savings so I was forced to an edge with no choice but to visit 2 prostitute, I had fever after that and 7 months later I had herpes zoster aka shingles. I think these 2 symptoms means that I have HIV. A bit worried now. @@thejagmohan7121
Giving a “Thumbs up!” in view of the content of your video is, in my opinion, very macabre. But I give it for your honest openness and your courage to speak publicly about your illness. And I wish you a very long, symptom-free life with all my heart
I was diagnosed with HIV in November of 2021, was only 19. It’s crazy because I never not once felt sick, had no kind of symptoms. It’s important to get tested. Hell even after being diagnosed, I still wasn’t educated, I learn more and more about it each day. I be grateful for still being here, and though it’s no longer a death sentence. It’s still a LIFE sentence. Stay protected and get tested at all cost
@@RaifDerrazi brother please tell me that If I take proper treatment for beginning then any chances of go to third stage?? Does ART stop working after some years? Please tell me
To anyone worrying, I had every symptom in the book. I had night sweats, flu-like symptoms, lethargy, extreme weight loss and constant diarrhea and tested NEGATIVE for HIV. Please get tested for your own sanity! Symptoms mean little to nothing in the case of HIV.
Update: My doctor said I made my body develop pseudo symptoms. I was so stressed and fixated on the symptoms of HIV that I made myself develop mirrored symptoms. The human mind is an incredible thing. Stress and think about something hard enough and it WILL materialize physically.
I am going on a hygiene clinic next week to get tested, because I feel like I have the initial symptoms after I had an intercourse with my partner. We both use condoms but I did something stupid that's why I am worrying and right now. He had history of past sex, but I don't have so I am worrying for the both of us.

Hey Raif, I’m a medical student and I’m currently learning about HIV/AIDS. Your video is very interesting and inspiring. You seem very comfortable with your diagnosis and happy in general, and I am happy for you because it seems like you have been able to overcome this. The disease has come a long way since the 1980s, but It still needs more attention in order to remove the negative stigma behind it. I wish you the best of luck!

Each person has a different journey. There are some that have additional barriers to figure out. I believe back in the 80"s and 90"s drugs and alcohol was a big part in the lifestyle. It is possible that then individuals coping and escape skills included un resolved hurt and pain from their past. Today society and communities has more to offer resulting in healthier lifestyles. If you are one of these individuals seek support. Build support.
@@JohnFuse-r3qas a gay man I can tell you that drugs and alcohol are still a huge part of the lifestyle, at least they are in my home city of Oklahoma City. I am not into drugs or alcohol and don’t do either. Sex was my Achilles heel. I am now HIV+ after letting my guard down about 15 months ago with someone I always liked and got the opportunity to date him when he broke up with his former bf. Anyways it’s a big price to pay and I do have some regrets but I’m on HIV medication and it seems to be working. I don’t judge anyone anymore.
Thanks for the video and you are so brave to speak about it publicly like this. It is so so very interesting to me to see how they ( the powers that be in America) are treating individuals of the general masses in relation to HIV/AIDS these days. These so called treatments which are being produced for pharmaceutical companies are actually bits and pieces of the actual cure though........ Just think about it guys..when was the last time you have seen or heard of HIV/ AIDS babies in America? The babies and kids ( as well as participants of certain research level program )always secretly got the cure here once the cure was created by a University in the early 1990s. Wake up guys don't allow big pharma and bureaucracy in America control your lives and destinies for corporate profits like this! contact your representation Washington and demand the laws be changed and or take big pharma down by changing the laws of this land and way things are done by yourselves.. They want you to live with the disease while they make money off of you. If you don't believe me then there is information out online now on this matter and you can also ask John Hopkins University Medical system about it as well as watching the PBS networks program called " The end of Aids".....The cure has been around for decades now guys and luckily some brave individuals came forward in 2016 ( time the Prince the singer died and those rumors AIDS on him went public even though he didn't actually have the disease or virus...) and this past year to try to tell the truth to the masses verses having to release their cures in small communist countries ( who have no political issues with it or big pharma corporations around to hide it) instead of America due to our politics, lack of of leadership within politics on the issue and lack of activity on the US citizens in mass of trying go to the truth and all hidden cures for particular diseases out there. The issue of certain demographics and communities being too reckless when it come to sexual activities is also an issue when it comes to anyone trying g to release cures in America so you guys have to be more responsible and have more respect and uphold integrity when it comes to human lives period if you truly want these cured out in mass more..In other words, you as a society have to responsible every day and you can't be reckless in life for the cures for a lot of things to be released to you.Otherwise I kind of agree with them by hiding so much of this stuff from you guys in certain demographics for you are too reckless with human beings lives on this planet and in life to be cured..And that society must earn it and how them they deserve it.
Mine started in 2010 or around there. Bed sweats. Every single night I’d wake up with my bed soaking wet - even if I used just a sheet. Then I popped up an egg sized lump in my neck. My doctor sent me to a surgeon that cut it out and biopsied it. I had DLBCL - stage 3 lymphoma. Since my cancer was stage 3 (meaning above and below my diaphragm) they estimated I had cancer for at least 5 years and had no clue. On my first visit with my oncologist, he told me that with that type of cancer, they always do an HIV test. I went back the following week to start chemo - and he told me that I was positive. Beyond that, if you have HIV with that cancer, you were considered to have AIDS. I had grown up in the age that an AIDS diagnosis meant certain death. I HAD THE BEST oncologist in the world, he rolled his chair over to me and said, “15 or 20 years ago, we’d have sent you home and told you to get your affairs in order, but now, you will end up just fine.” Then he grabbed my hands and looked at me straight in the eyes again, and said, “you are going to die someday. We all are, but you won’t be dying as long as I’m your doctor and NOT any time soon. Just do what your doctors tell you to do, and you’ll probably outlive me (I was 50 at the time).”
❤ Sharing his or her name would do wonders for his or her peers. Doctor's with this type of compassion need to be accessible to those in the profession who need mental health days.
However this gentleman proves the fact that when you are a server or in another job that does not pay enough or offer healthcare seeing a doctor is much harder to do. Seeing a doctor the minute something seems off about your body is a privilege that many good people don't have. When you are poor you get good at rationalizing things that keep you from spending money. Yes dear Raif should have seen a doctor earlier but for poor guys it is not easy to do. Please understand!

I hope you are still doing your best brother. I was very sick and dying fast but I was tested in December of last year and was told I was HIV positive+. I’m a little nervous but my CD4 count was 223 the first time and we hope it’s over 500 this time which is still the minimum they like to see but I’m crossing fingers and toes. I have a big lump that has appeared on my right pec above the nipple and it’s making me think about cancer related to HIV. Life is a trip.
You are so brave. I have been under diagnostics for almost 3 years for what they thought was MS, then Alzheimer's, than Meneirres, then ALS!! then finally to congestive heart failure and blood disease. You are so brave and straight forward and such a fighter. Completely exhausted, and with these multitude of symptoms you just never gave up. It seems you spent your last ounce of energy trying again and again and I can't believe how strong you are and how much hope you inspire in someone like me who has unrelated conditions but multiple conditions not always diagnosed. I would have tremors, difficulty at times speaking, my head vigorously shaking back and forth.. people can be so cruel and oddly those closest toyou can be unsympathetic or scared of you, or tired of you being sick etc. Your public message touches me so much. I have so much compassion for you and am dually so encouraged by you. Lots of love XXOOOO

I'm a ,medical student getting a ready to write my board exam. These are the signs of HIV...at first you feel ok, then you feel weak and crash, then you recover and finally your overall health goes down. What HIV does is destroys your cd4+ cells. It's not HIV that causes problems, its opportunities infections that develop because your immune system has weakened so much. There are good drugs available now and life expectancy and near normal...but still. You all need to take precautions.
akchually, the virus forms cell reservoirs which cause widespread inflammation and can damage the liver, heart, eyes etc. Nowadays we have treatment to avoid all these things and it's more common in people with AIDS.
Can I just give you the biggest kudos for speaking about this so normally? Seriously, lifting the stigma is the best thing we can do. I'm negative, however i had a scare 3 years ago. My ex boyfriend messaged me on Facebook to tell me he was positive and it was the most devastating couple of weeks of my life. I've since studied HIV/AIDS at university and I was so sorry with the way I reacted. I wish back then I'd have seen your video. Thank you.

Thelma Thomas If that is how you feel, that is fine. But don’t go around condemning these young men. I promise you the world does that enough. If you are a Christian you should show as much love as possible. Also, straight people get HIV & AIDS as well.
I remember being like thirteen and hearing that being tired was a symptom of HIV. I went home from school that day and cried my eyes out because I was so tired all the time and therefore I had HIV. In hindsight it was my cross country running that was making me tired lol I was so damn dramatic.
Haha, as silly as it sounds a LOT of people go through the same paranoia and fears about a lot of different symptoms. Just because certain symptoms are related to HIV doesn't mean having those symptoms means you have HIV...correlation not causation. Glad you were just a dramatic kid and fit as a fiddle ;)
Try being a closeted teenager in the 80’s. I remember reading about this “gay cancer” that was killing only gay men. I worried throughout the 80’s that I had AIDS because I knew inside I was gay., and I wasn’t even sexually active! I constantly checked for spots in my mouth and on my skin. It was torture. I finally got a test in the late 80’s and you had to wait up to three weeks for results. Talk about anxiety! Needless to say, I was negative, joined the Air Force and didn’t come out until 1993. Waiting to come out saved my life. A lot of gay guys I met in the 90’s died, and so young. You couldn’t walk into a gay bar without seeing a memorial poster for whoever died that week. It was the big elephant in the room. Nobody ever talked about HIV. Unfortunately, I got complacent in the early 2000’s and became infected. I have to say that HIV saved my life. I was on the gay party train and couldn’t stop using ecstasy, coke and meth on the weekends. So stereotypical, right? I turned to drugs after a tragic death in my family. The drugs were consuming me, physically and financially. I tested positive in 2002, and I stopped the drugs cold turkey the day I found out my status. Back then, the thought was don’t take meds until you get close to having AIDS because the doctors didn’t want you to become immune to the meds and then die. My doctor let me get down to 350 T cells and then started the cocktail in 2007. Now they’ve changed course and treat the infection right away. They just didn’t know enough at the time. I’ve been undetectable for 11 years now, but do have some liver issues from the meds. I also became diabetic which is common among HIV patients. But I enjoy life and feel pretty good. I’m so glad that the darkness of so much death has been halted by modern medicine. If only the government had cared more in the beginning, we would have prevented so many deaths. Take care and have a wonderful life!
Wow your very brave for posting this video. Youre helping so many people. Not only because of aids/HIV but other things people ignore that their body is telling them

0:07 The phrasing *I had HIV* sounds wrong. You may have lo levels of the virus in the blood, maybe too low to be detectable sometimes but people still have to take medication for life.
I know. It’s the same with some people and hypertension…they say they have no health history when you ask, but states they take lisinopril for blood pressure yet go on to deny hypertension as their diagnosis because their Bp isn’t high anymore. It’s like, no shyt, the lisinopiril controls the bp because you still have hypertension. Even if the med brings the bp down you still have the condition.
After watching your video repeatedly, I finally took the courage to do my test on November 2019. It came out negative, and that's my second time running it. Just imagine how I've been living with anxiety since 2017, it altered my well being for all that period.
@@grimreaper9477 I had fingernail fungus, and I was feeling dizzy or lightheaded at some point. These two signs made me to convince myself that I might have a STD or something related. My whole fear was rooted from an exposure I had with a girl, since then I was curious until those mentioned symptoms made it worse. At first I ran ECG test and the doctor encouraged me to run the HIV test as well since I was curious about the fingernail fungus. The dizziness might be as a result of an ear little problem that I had or it was due to my late breakfast for almost five years due to school. The doctor advised me to eat on time because it might be as a result of low blood sugar. Now I am free from the HIV anxiety.
@@grimreaper9477 So basically my major symptoms were the fingernail fungus and the dizziness. The fungus might be as a result of some other bacterial, so I'm taking some bacterial medicines.

The issue of certain demographics and communities being too reckless when it come to sexual activities is also an issue when it comes to anyone trying g to release cures in America so you guys have to be more responsible and have more respect and uphold integrity when it comes to human lives period if you truly want these cured out in mass more..In other words, you as a society have to responsible every day and you can't be reckless in life for the cures for a lot of things to be released to you.Otherwise I kind of agree with them by hiding so much of this stuff from you guys in certain demographics for you are too reckless with human beings lives on this planet and in life to be cured..And that society must earn it and how them they deserve it.
there is a cure they won't release the cure to control the population and to make money
Well the cure is there they just won't release it because they make a lot of money from the virus cure would kill the profits

This is a wonderful video. An important point to remember is it if you have tested HIV negative ,it means your HIV negative today. You may still have been infected and not have produced antibody response ;or you may still become infected in the future. If you are in a high-risk group, please retest every 12 weeks. Help and treatment are available everywhere. Get tested ;get help ;get treated.
My brother died three weeks ago from aids. It is a devastating illness for both the patient and loved ones. Please take your treatment very seriously. God bless you.
Hey Carlos, thank you so much for sharing your story. So sorry to hear about your brother. Was his treatment not working, or what was the circumstances around it?
Omg. I'm so so sorry 2hear. May he #RestPeaceFully 💙
Was the meds not working or he was tired of taking them
I am so so extremely sorry. Truly💜💜
My brother died of AIDS too four weeks ago😭😭😭. He didn’t take his medication for 6 months contracted mengitis and died quickly. I’m devasted
I'm so glad you found financial help. The health care system in the states seems horrendous.
@House Bear It can be very tricky
I just don't get it. It is in the country's interest to provide medication for HIV positive patients as it helps stop spreading the disease. I am from the Czech republic and my father is a doctor dealing with HIV patients and all the patients get free treatment in my country.
Shit in New York it’s expensive just to get tested. I don’t even have sex anymore if it’s not with my girl who I’m committed to. Im negative and plan to stay that way. This shit is crazy. This dude looks super healthy. Anyways a cure supposed to be on its way soon. Stay strong brotha.

Yes its one hell of a journey.
I was diagnosed in 1985. ,no hope then. Sold house and travelled the world thinking it was all over. Now teaching in a classroom in a local highschool in Sydney at the age of 71 and no symptoms.
Gained 4 degrees from uni in that time
However the journey was sad. Lost so many good friends and colleagues.
Are you on meds since then ?

I'm a ,medical student getting a ready to write my board exam. These are the signs of HIV...at first you feel ok, then you feel weak and crash, then you recover and finally your overall health goes down. What HIV does is destroys your cd4+ cells.
Why the hell would you f****** so much in high school
Just came across this and hope this guy is still alive and well. Certainly, he is one of the bravest men I've seen on UA-cam to share his story.
I’m alive and well, thank you friend
You're so brave for sharing your story. You're a beautiful person

Wow your very brave for posting this video. Youre helping so many people. Not only because of aids/HIV but other things people ignore that their body is telling them
Brittany Long Thank u! Aside from sharing my symptoms that was pretty much the mistake I made and wanted to share and get across to others 😌

You'll get better, buddy. Medicine already creates 3d printed organs.
I am ALREADY better 😉 Thanks for the support and congrats on your medical journey! 👌
@@RaifDerrazi I'm really glad to hear that :)
Thank you !
+Reggie Shmeggie YOU CANNOT CONTRACT HIV FROM SEXUAL CONTACT IT JUST COMES ABOUT, IT IS CANCER.
JASMIN NIMSAJ your comment is so random and inaccurate
Engineering and BioChemistry figured out how to create 3D printed organs.
Tam I'mBlessed did u had symptoms before doing the test? And if so what were they? Please respond
@@grimreaper9477 Did you remember having unprotected sex or needle sharing?
@@grimreaper9477 You just have to man up and check the result. I stared at mine for around 15 minutes before opening it in front of my counselor. But finally I opened it and it was non-reactive which means negative. I told myself to face the situation or else I would live with anxiety forever, that's how I did it. It's either you face your fears or you let them crush you.
You're a brave, brave man. Keep sharing ypur truth and embracing the power that doing that is ❤
Love and light x
Thanks for the love and support! I will definitely keep sharing! 🙏
You look fantastic...you're definetly inspiring for people who been diagnosed...
Thank you very much Martin. Just trying to lead by example.
Like that nipsey hussle pic
I had the symptoms for about a year. Fatigue, diarrhea, night-sweats, every now and then I got red bumbs on my palms and swollen lymph knots. I was sick at least once a month with a cold.
And then finally got tested after a year and in my case it turned out I had gonorrhea with no typical symptoms. (wasn’t sexually active for months at this point).
Got a shot and I’m feeling much better now.
Y’all, get tested regularly and be careful!
@@Mahadebkabhakt122 nope, got tested multiple times by now but I’m negative.
Did you have rashes?
Did they look like mosquito bites?

Thank you very much!
do you know when an hic test is accurate? I want to move on with my life after a negative hiv test at three months
I'm 27 yo, I had health issues since I was in university. I felt tired all the time, I slept 12 hrs ever night, I fainted a couple of times, I had a lot of UTI's and stomach infections, my skin was very dry, my period was always absent. I went to the doctor so many times. Years after so many issues I got some specialized blood tests and it turns out I'm diabetic.
If you feel something is wrong, insist to be heard! One doctor doesn't do anything? Go to as many as you can until someone listens to you.
You should take probiotics and cranberry pills everyday, garlic pills work wonders too. I take turmeric, probiotics and cranberry pills everyday, and vitamin B12.

good luck on your journey man. This just reminds me of how messed up the American healthcare system is, its beyond ridiculous for what should be the leading country in the world. I am from the UK, currently living in Poland, and feel blessed to have national healthcare systems
I have been positive since the 1987. I could relate to the swollen glands under your neck. I did have vertigo and I had to learn to eat more bland foods, I remember wearing turtle necks for several years. I really felt like I had the beginnings of a cold for like a year. You had it worse than me and I am sorry. You look good now. I appreciated your honesty. Stay well.

I'm a cis, straight female. I always use condoms for penetrative sex! But after any sexual activity with a new partner, I go to the sexual health clinic to get tested! Luckily I'm completely free of any disease but I really appreciate the information and people talking about illnesses with such stigma! And three men have now been cured! You're such a gem for sharing your story! Lots of love ❤️
Why are you going for so many partners...better to do it with one...you know it's dangerous even then you are trying it....lol....you are an idiot

I appreciate people like you that share their stories. But to everyone watching that think they may have hiv...You have to get tested. Its the only sure way. I had all of these symptons and tested NEGATIVE twice. I'm so thankful. Don't stress and worry yourself. Get tested.
Victory Rae exactly, well said. These same symptoms could be the result of many different medical conditions.
@@RaifDerrazi so close it's crazy. But, again you and people like you are so brave and courageous💙
@Victory Do you have any risky encounter before? Experiencing those symptoms..thanks.
I remember listening to a guy talking about his doctors visit and his doctor told him he wanted to do some tests on some gray bumps on his neck. He said that his doctor told him that when he comes back to get the results to bring family with him because he was almost 100% certain he was going to be giving him a diagnosis of AIDS. Sure enough, his doc was right. I can't imagine that.
You're so brave to come out in public and share your story... Salute!
Thank you for that. Salute back at ya!
My first experience with a guy was nonconsensual a few years ago and I've never had the courage to go get tested, always been really afraid to, but this video really helped ease my nerves and I've scheduled an appointment for tuesday
