I am having a breakdown here. I met with a needle stick injury in 2023. 3 weeks after nsi I had worst flu of my life. I had fever, scratchy throat, painful swallowing now that I look back even night sweats. I got tested but that test was during that 'flu' period, I am not brave enough to get tested again, but this is killing me. I had every symptom by the book. I am just 25 and I am helpless. I was diagnosed with AIDS last year March with only 34 CD4 left with the viral load of 880k. I am so lucky I'm not having any other opportunistic infection such as pcp or any brain infection. If negative, just keep doing in the subsequent week. until u are convince. Me myself, I knew I have hiv, but I am so in denial until I developed aids lol! I found your video after doing a practice osce earlier. It was exactly this, it seemed like EBV infection, but further history gave high-risk behavior for HIV infection. Counseling and consent to test for HIV were important aspects of the osce. Thank you.

If he is taking his Dovato correctly, then he is undetectable and untransmittable, so if he's saying that normal PrEP meds won't work on him and he's on Dovato, then he is most likely already positive.

Hi thee I just have a question, I have done a bunch of hiv test after going to the dentis, after a tooth extraction I develop some rash on my chest then after around 10 days my salivary gland started to swell after eating, after that I started doing some hiv test probably 10 including oraquick saliva test, INSTI, and last was complete blood work all done by 4th generation test, all of these were done within 2 years, and all came back negative! My eczema has flared up again and is 5 times worse than the previous breakout, I have no idea if it's hiv related, I do know that I've been dealing with eczema for a while now. The flare up happened the next day after I had unprotected sex. 2 of my lymph nodes have swelled a little. But besides that I don't have any true symptoms.

Hello Dr, i had multiple exposures with a CSW in December and started to experience symptoms which i regarded as acute hiv infection. So i went and get tested from December, until April i did 3rd generation tests which were all negative. In May i had 3 different 4th generation tests which were also negative. Dovato is NOT used for PrEP! Dovato is used to treat people with active HIV.
There are 3 once a day meds used for PrEP, Descovy, Truvada and Apretude. You would take one of them or the other, not one plus something else.
If he is taking his Dovato correctly, then he is undetectable and untransmittable, so if he's saying that normal PrEP meds won't work on him and he's on Dovato, then he is most likely already positive.

Hello Dr, i had multiple exposures with a CSW in December and started to experience symptoms which i regarded as acute hiv infection.
