    I know I've said this before but your editing and camera shots are outstanding! I loved the little finger on the volume slide. Nice touch. Yeah, that was sneaky of the customer to bring a used unit but you made it work. He/she was lucky that wheel didn't come off on the road.

      +wyattoneable thank you. I was shocked to see how loose the wheel was. A bit more and that wheel would have come off flying .it's crazy. I keep trying to come up with clever little things to put into my videos lol

    Great video, I hope you charged extra for them bringing you a salvage yard part. I once had a customer ask if I would go get the part from the junkyard. I laughed and declined.

    • @themechanic6117

      +Brittany Gumm I've heard it all lol. Customers ask if I can get the part from the salvage yard for them, if I can pay for the parts for them, if I supply the parts 😂. No I didn't charge extra in this situation. Sometimes it's best to suck it up and gain a new regular customer. Thanks for watching and commenting .

    Too old and with 2 back operations, yes I have to pay.
    Great job though, excellent instructional video.

      How much did this cost for your wheel bearing replacement I think mine is going and I'm trying to get an idea how much it will cost me. I dont have a place where I can do the work myself

    • @ABN6565
      @ABN6565 4 роки тому

      @@ArchaicLoL I can't even remember. It wasn't real expensive. But you have to do both sides.
      We traded the Avenger in for a 2019 kia Stinger.

      @@themechanic6117 No arguing from me. My certified mechanic I had for 26 years never steered me wrong and worked on all my family cars and trucks never an issue.
      You have your right to your opinion.
      My mechanics stated both wheel bearings experience the same amount of wear and tear at the same time. It's just logical to change them both. Stated from a certified mechanic of 35 years. Just saying.
      Bless you take care and be safe and please wear a mask so we can get over this nonsense 👍

    You removed the strut and sensors unnecessarily. I got this done completely in under an hour. Good video for beginners.

      There is no need to remove any of this. Tire(obviously), brake pads, rotors, remove the 32MM nut from the axle, remove the 4 15MM bolts from the back, hold the axle in place OR mark it in place, the wheel hub comes right off. Reverse the steps, done. Less than an hour...

    Every video i see of this job has different torque specs for the same car. One has 118 ft lbs for the axel nut and 70 ft lbs for the hub. I'm doing mines this weekend just want to know what torque specs are correct
