VCS is a beast of a game, one of the best in the series, and THE MOST underrated title on the franchise. It contais a marvelous plot, combat mechanics, characters, soundtrack, etc. Also contains the best business system on a GTA game - the Empire system. It's a crime that it got forgotten by R*, never got a PC, mobile or remastered release. IMO, LCS is much better than GTA 3, and VCS is a lot better than the original VC.

I prefer the colors and aesthetics of the PSP version
I think the art-styles are different in both versions. PS2 version has more of a San Andreas style while the PSP version looks more like Vice City
Iirc the ps2 version added the "Trail effect" Vice city on ps2 had it too, if you disable it it would look like it does on Pc ver of Vice city, doing it in vcs will make it look like the psp version
(Trails add a kind of ambient lighting making it more yellowish like San andreas and it adds motion blur, the reason why i disable it :P)
@@BrickmanZero How can you disable that "trails effect"? In Vice City Stories / Liberty City Stories (PS2) or on PC (Vice City)?
@@ArcaneTuber Trails option can be disabled in GTA 3 (PC, Xbox, PS2), Vice City (PS2, Xbox) and Vice City Stories (PS2). San Andreas and Liberty City Stories have forced trails on PS2 (only their PS2 ports have it anyway), you can't disable it. Also, for some reason, trails is missing from the PC version of Vice City and the PSP versions of the Stories games.
You go to the display settings in game, you should find the trails options.

And this game can be played In widescreen on ps2 so I don't know why he's playing In 4:3 when widescreen supports it for this game
2:36 Anyone noticed that the psp and ps2 icons are switched?
In fact, the PSP version has better graphics and that's because on PS2 the game is programmed to look a bit darker and depressing, because according to that it helps the console save resources. I don't understand why RockStar took that trouble because the PS2, being a desktop console with more potential, should run the game with a better section. But the true experience of the VCS is lived on the PSP because it was the great intention to release it on said laptop, although I'll stay with PS2 because it was the best-selling console and with a large catalog of games.

The PS2 version is a lot more colorful, did you not see the video? The PS2 version has the Trails graphical option that gives this game a lot more life, plus it fixes severe issues from the PSP port like saved cars disappearing from your garages and one of the outfits missing gloves.
PS2 version is the definitive release of Vice City Stories.
I like how the psp version looks more vibrant it fits the 80s vibe more imo.

thats true the psp version of gta vcs is more easier to run on phones you can also run gta vcs the ps2 version on the phone but it is will require more powerful phone then the psp version and it is may run less smooth then the psp version

La iluminación y el aspecto es mucho mejor en PSP, pero en PS2 se ve mucho mejor.
In my opinion, I this the PSP version of vice city stories is better. Cause I grew up with the PSP and this was one of the first games I played on the system. Plus the PSPs graphics were great at the time
i like the psp version and how it is looks but in the same time the ps2 version is newer and kinda better then the psp version the ps2 version of gta vcs has fixes, improvements and changes and side missions that also require for completing gta vcs to 100% and more

You can get it on the vita with UK psn store you have to set the country To United Kingdom, but you gotta buy a UK psn card it’s about 30 something dollars US, it has china town, vice city stories, and liberty city stories I do have the ps2 version on ps3 before it was taken off
Gta in ps2 is more imersive,the map and builds is more longer and big,the game is more proporcional,more beaultiful trail graphics,with trails and ps2 without widescreen is more beaultiful
what i’ve noticed is i played back the video and in some shots he accidentally mixes up between the PS2 and the PSP in the comparisons
The PSP version in 0:16 has a brown and rougher picture, while the PS2 version 0:20 has a cleaner picture and a different colored road. Now, why in the world in 0:25 is the info completely different? It doesn't make any sense cause I don't remember the PS2 version has brown roads and rougher pictures, the info was swapped. It doesn't just happen on that timeline, it happens in other timelines. You 1st show the real PSP images and PS2 images, then you swap info as if PS2 doesn't create a clearer picture and the PSP does when in fact you did show they do quite the opposite in every 1st part.
Is there a way to get this more modern controls? I.e. driving with triggers and such?
I prefer the PSP version, in resolution looks bad but in graphics looks better than the PS2 version.

Vita + cfw + gepatch + dual analog plugin...its fantastic
480x272 was a very good resolution for a portable console in that time.

Son las mismas gráficas , lo que hicieron en la versión de psp , fue agregarle más iluminación a los gráficos para evitar que se note tanto la falta de resolución que tenía la pantalla de la psp , en cambio la ps2 al tener mejor resolución , dejaron los gráficos con la iluminación normal del juego , por eso en ps2 se ve más oscuro que en psp , pero ps2 gana en resolución , se ve más clarito

My PSP games don't look like that I actually play PSP games and high definition with the graphics cranked up it looks way better than the PlayStation version when I play PSP Grand theft Auto vice City for PSP on my phone using the razor key CV2 and PPSS PP the settings allow you to boost the resolutionp only way to play PSP games anymore is on your phone using ppsspp I'm telling you when you boost the graphics and resolution it's crazy smooth looking PlayStation 2 can't match the look and you can do the same with PlayStation 1 and 2 games on your phone you can smooth out the graphics you know how PlayStation 1 games everything's made out of those little boxes well those little boxes disappear once you make it and high definition that's not how the developers made the games to look like that's just how the PlayStation was able to render the games it was actually a really weak system at the time then Nintendo 64 was more powerful had more powerful hardware it's just it was limited because of its cartridges and the PS just seemed more appealing at the time because it was using CD technology and it just looked a little more futuristic and the games so many games for PS compared to Nintendo but if you play the same game on Nintendo 64 and Playstation then Nintendo 64 version is way better and smoother none of those little boxy pixels
