GTA VC and VCS are both wonderful game in their own right. But one thing that always bothered me was how many construction sites were in VCS, there's SOOO many of them. That and just how many changes there were with VCS supposedly being 2 years before VC. Living near a large city it feels like not much has really changed about it in 10 years, let alone just 2.
But honestly, you have to remember this game was designed for the PSP. A lot of those construction sites were probably designed with optimisation in mind. Hence the lack of enterable interiors like the tool shop.
While some the differences may seem a bit exaggerated considering it was only a 2 year timeline gap between games, I still appreciated pretty much all of the differences between both of these games and GTA3 and Liberty City Stories. The worlds were still the same familiar environments, but Rock* also somehow managed to make them feel new and refreshing as well. They deserve a lot of credit for this, as they could've just as easily pretty much copied and pasted the files from both the originals.

i agree with everything but the weapons, when they redesigned them they were basically low res flat paper weapons while vice city has 3d models. they also took the SMG from the beta of vice city and put that as the MP5 which not sure why since LCS had the best MP5 model. just look at the m4 in vcs its pretty bad.

I think that change was made more in terms of map design. R* probably noticed that having a road there made a hell lot of sense and preferred adding it for convenience, sacrificing continuity.
You have to keep two things in mind: 1 Rockstar was depicting how cities grow and change. 2 Vice City Stories had to be designed with device limitations in mind (first released on PSP), so the map had to be even less detailed with the unused buildings/locations. I think it's cool that we have the Stories games, so you can put the entire history together and play every release in order of the timeline.
No porter tunnel in LCS though. Also a huge chunk of Staunton Island by the hospital was destroyed by Toni which is why in 3 it's just a big construction yard
GTA VC is better cause there are more accessible buildings and it added so much despite being 4 years older than VCDS, love Vic but VC's Tommy is great who rose from his mafia betrayal to taking revenge and owning his own businesses and gangs and mansion and motor biking, full sized maps, buying properties and side missions like the stadium races were introduced, GTA Vice City is the better game IMO and 2002 it was revolutionary.

Vice city stories needs a new realese because both existing versions have their flaws. PSP version runs smoothly but the controlls are not that good (psp thumb stick sucks for adult hands and D-Pad is too imprecise) and of course handheld consoles are not liked by everyone. Ps2 version has very nice controlls, still looks good on a bigger tv screen but is pretty laggy.

Niko wouldn't have been in nightclubs. So they wouldn't be something he'd even notice. What if psychologically the protagonists just have a different view of their world depending on what they are going through as well as interests.
I mean VCS graphics are more or less the same as normal VC. But gotta bear in mind it was originally designed for the PSP before getting ported to PS2. Also doubt many bootleg mobile games look that good. Haha

The most surprising thing for me is Airport Road, which has seemingly completely vanished in Tommy's time. I'd hazard a guess that the airport expanded? Although you didn't feature it, I also think there's a few notable changes inside the big Shopping Maul.

Mendez's house mansion become abandon after he and his gangs were been executed by Victor Vance based on the GTA VCS storyline.

rockstar is doing way too much. considering it’s only a 2 year timespan there should be little to no changes at all realistically
Dont forget that less buildings = better optimization
Aside from a few constructions here and there in VCS, it's not unrealistic, drug money really changed Miami.
@@maxim196 Those construction sites have more objects than the completed buildings which only had the outside walls.
I was so confused realizing why the buildings were destructed then I looked to see that vcs was a prequel, lol
Many things in VC and VCS make no sense. Like that Art Deco building in VCS turned into small condos by 1986.
