If the next game has the Dark Brotherhood in it and it isn't too far in the future, it would be cool to see a grown up Aventus Aretino as a member/recurring character. He could have his reason of being a member as something like "The Dark Brotherhood has served me in a dark time, how would I not serve Sithis back?"
Rylon Harmon that would actually be very neat and, if done properly, wouldn’t come off as too cheesy. Could even be interesting to have a quest line about building the faction in this region... like Aventus was sent by the brotherhood to set up a sanctuary, and you’re one of the earliest recruits... idk, just a thought.
I seriously want to know more about Nazir. I think he might be a dishonoured or banished A'likr warrior. Maybe being banished for doing things like killing unarmed prisoners, stuff typically seen as dishonourable by Warriors.
If Babbete is in the next game, that would be pretty cool. Though some time would have to pass for her to want to leave Skyrim. I imagine as the most senior member though, she would easy be appointed speaker after the Night Mother got things running traditionally again. At that point, she'd be moving around Tamriel a lot more.
Brotherhood of old explores what would happen after you kill the emperor and start trying to rebuild the brotherhood and it has you name nazir and Babette as speakers
The Dark Brotherhood always feels like a family in Skyrim. Makes the later massacre all the more tragic. And now my usual question: Build whose backstory and roleplaying focuses around the Legacy of the Dragonborn mod? I think it has the potential to be interesting, since because of how the museum displays work, the character could work with all factions. Maybe someone with no morals, or someone who's just willing to do what it takes to get more artifacts to display in the museum.
I've been thinking the same thing cuz I'm very excited for LoTD V5.0 ... But its hard to figure out an actual persona for that character. Ironically it might just be easiest to not role play at all and just go raw, just like the first times I played Skyrim. Always curious.
If it's for the LotDB museum, an artificer type of character or historian would work. Maybe someone who really loved treasure hunting or researching artifacts and ruins (like Calcemo) before discovering their role as Dragonborn. Such a person would absolutely LOVE Farengar and going spelunking for him. Also gives excuses for things like College of Winterhold (especially at Farengar's behest), an interest in the dragon walls for shouts, frankly most of the quest lines. Wuuthrad from The Companions, discovering DB secrets for "scholarly reasons," Barenziah's crown and Noctural's boon. Any Daedric boon really, ESPECIALLY Herma Mora which could lead into Dragonborn DLC, History of the Dawnguard or Castle Volkihar. Nord and Dragon Cult history, especially Alduin's wall for MQ, etc. Other archetypes that would have an excuse to do absolutely everything would be your common Adventurer (and I mean come on, sometimes you just wanna ADVENTURE) or an investigator or detective (paranormal stuff? cool mysteries and histories? helping people? heck yeah) Stats and Skills? Beats me, you could adapt as you go or focus on some key areas with RP reasons for what skills you choose. Combat skills for self defense or to preserve their histories. Magery for higher knowledge and utility. Thief skills because you're a tomb raider. Whatever is suitable for you soon-to-be Dragonborn's legacy.
With Babette being a Breton, about 300 years old, and the general mystery surrounding her, she could very well be a former member of the Glenmoril Wyrd Coven (High Rock bloodline), or even the Cyrodiil Vampyrum Order. Both of them are mysterious, consider each other a threat, possess high intellect (even for vampires), are skilled manipulators, and very good at blending in with society - which fits Babette, who assumes the guise of a normal child to lure her prey. Totally spitballing and we'll never know, but I thought it was worth positing. /shrug
@Sky Dome there's a difference between the glenmoril WYRD coven, and Glenmoril WITCH covens. The CVO probably leaves the Volkihar to their own devices, because they're relatively quiet until DG, and a relatively small clan.
"Do you get to the clod district very often? Oh. What am I saying. Of course you don't." "Bish. I'm the dragonborn. I know the Jarl personally. And I am thane of this city. And you think I havent been to the cloud district?"
@ Travis absolutely, brother. The Oblivion Cheydinhal family will always be a cut above the Skyrim DB sanctuary. It has such a dark, mysterious, and magickal feel to it. What’s more it actually feels like a cult with a proper hierarchy and purpose; they all abide by the tenets whereas Astrid and her mall ninjas just seem like a bunch of edgy cut throats who want to rebel for the sake of it.

For some reason UA-cam has been unsubbing me from people i watch all the time. Happened just a few minutes ago with y'all at FudgeMuppet. Made sure to resub though~
I personally think that the night mother being mephala is bs. It has never been explicitly stated or even hinted. Plus it pains me that the assassin guild that I've come to love and respect is just bunch of idiots following a lie.
@@32gigs96 but that doesn't prove anything imo. It is not even hinted at. I mean for every theory there is some solid evidence right. For example "dovahkiin maybe shor" because you can sit on his throne, the ghost sees you as talos and you can leave the hall of valor with 3 other heroes when shor himself had forbidden it. But this theory has no evidence. I think this has more to do with nostalgia in the community for the morag tong which I totally get.
The wrath of Sithis is in oblivion as well. I think the night mother being mephala is perfect. It makes sense with their connection to the morag tong, who worship her. I don’t think they’re idiots following a lie, they’re the only ones she’s probably honest with. For all we know, she truly incarnated physically in a woman to birth her own order. Why couldn’t p she possess, or influence, someone?
God i can never stop binging y'all's videos. Another great upload. The Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild have always been my jam, stealth, wealth, murder, getting back at asshats by taking their shit.
I know it wouldn't go well, but Astrid has gotten me since the very first time I played Skyrim. Even though she's married to Arnbjorn, she always sounds like she's flirting when you talk to her...which is probably by design to make you more compliant, but still.
Yeah no I totally get it. I call her Astrid the Betrayer and berate her a lot for what she did to the Family (I'm a *huge* Dark Brotherhood fan) but she does have a very sharp and macabre seduction about her. As far as that goes it's just a shame she turned out that way.
I love "what if" and "theory" videos. Something just clicked with me just now...Has Cicero been to Apocrypha? Think about it Old man Mora only lets the most intelligent in. Cicero is not an idiot despite the way he acts he is very intelligent. And that place drives people to madness. Probably not but it would still make a cool theory video
One thing I want from the Dark Brotherhood of TES 6 -- a rise in influence and numbers instead of a fall. Perhaps the transition from a skeletal Night Mother in Oblivion to a mummified corpse in Skyrim means she is returning for some prophecy. To renew her vows with Sithis, kill 5 more children.
i have a cool idea if you want somebody taken out you xan use the quill to write the thing and who you want taken out and as soon as you are done a random dark brotherhood member ahows up not a main character and completes the job or fails the job and you can do this as many times you want and random dark brotherhood members show up that are not main characters
I never really join the Dark Brotherhood in any of my playthrough so it's nice to be able to see some insight with a video like this Then again for the most of my playthroughs i play a morally good Dragonborn
"I once took a seaside stroll, on a moonlit night, and discovered a unicorn (should be "an". Phonetic writing doesn't include subtitles)... which I proceeded to stab in the throat with a crochet needle". So it wasn't Voldemort drinking the Unicorn's blood. It was Gabriella.
Fudgeuppet! I’ve heard rumor that Rorikstead is secretly a town full of Daedric worshippers. Any comment or evidence of such. Also I’d love a lore series on the history of various towns and holds of Skyrim
It would have been kinda cool for the Dragonborn to bring together the dark brotherhood and the morag tong since both groups are barely holding themselves together. It could have been a really cool quest for the expansions to have us join both groups back together or eradicate them since they are trying to kill you. Idk I think it would be cool or something like this
As I start my new playthrough and join the DBH..., then start to think if my build is fun, you come out with this. Fine, fine. I will stay with my build.
That would make Cicero over 200 years old; unless he's a *very* well hidden vampire, he's maybe 24 at most lol He does reference the adoring fan though 😄
I love the darkbrother hood. but part of me would kind of like a less cultish assassin organization for the next game. it'd be cool to be able to be an assassin that isn't in an organization that has such religious ties to sithis or mephala in the case of the morag tong.
In that case, maybe an Asssassin organization from Daggerfall in High Rock. I can't think of one of the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure there must be one there. Plus, isn't the next Elder Scroll game taking place there? I think I heard about that somewhere.
sancturillore dude thatd be awesome. maybe we could get a whole dlc involving orsinium possibly with the choice to finally help them gain independence and be their own province.
@@DragonGunzDorian Agreed. If it takes place in High Rock, adding a Orsinium DLC would make sense and be welcomed by a lot of people (I´d guess). Oh, and the Orcs have always been independent in their own, little province. Someone just constantly destroyed it.
Not all Argonians born under the Shadow were given to the Shadowscales. Only hardcore tribes like the Kota-Vimleel send all their Shadow Hatchlings. Most would only send a few of their best.
Anyone think about the fact that the LDB is very new to Skyrim, and finds aventus through bar rumours yet the DB and astrid hadn’t heard of it? I wonder how seriously astrid took her job
The problem with the adoring fan being Cicero is how unlikely anyone would advance through half of the Dark Brotherhood before finishing the Arena. Me and everyone I know finishes the Arena early on for the gold for a house. There the difficulty, the Arena is incredibly easy requiring nearly nothing and assassinations requires good skills and enchanted equipment to pull off favorably. I also cannot see the Listener bored enough to combat in something like the Arenas but I can most definitely see an up-incomer pushing through the Arena as a way to start becoming something.
It stinks that Festus Krex isn't a Destruction Trainer, just imagine, the spells the Last Dragonborn could have learned from him! probably something similar to the Enemies Explode spell during the Mages Guild questline in Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. It would have been BADASS to learn the spell that can turn enemies inside out! Then, you could have used said spell to turn Commander Maro inside out!
With Mephala being so tied in with the Morag Tong and the Morag Tong's hatred of the Dark Brotherhood, I don't think Gabrielle has any connections to Mephala
(This was a modded playthrough) if you have a Marry Anybody mod, and you marry Veezara, two strange things will happen. Firstly, Gabrielle actually attends your wedding, in full Brotherhood robes, and congratulate you on your marriage. Where that one is weird is I'm on PS4, no external assets allowed. Secondly, if you adopt children while married to Veezara, the npc children will continue to mention things about "how daddy took them fishing today" and all those other voicelines from a normal unmodded playthrough AFTER THE sanctuary is destoryed. Anyone else find the Gabrielle bit confusing? I've never heard her mention that voiceline in vanilla, but my console doesn't allow new textures, scripts or voices, so... yeah
Hey guys, what's up with your legacy builds play list? Why those other builds in there, and please make more of those builds, I would love a legacy Vampire build.
Important to note you go on in the beginning about Mephala but Mephala isnt the Night Mother. The lore across the games is meant to be various unreliable points of views of the authors you cant believe but in Oblivion you definitively see and learn the Night Mother's origin and you learn where she was buried and even talk with her spirit. The true origin of the Night Mother is the story of the Dunmer woman of Bravil who begot Sithis 5 children and delivered them to the void. You learn she is buried under the Lucky Old Lady statue in Bravil and even see the bones. The Dark Brotherhood never worshipped Mephala only Sithis and the Night Mother, you are confusing Morag Tong lore with Dark Brotherhood lore. In summary Mephala doesnt predate Sithis and Sithis chose the Dunmer woman of Bravil long after Deadra came into being negating any contradicting lore
Me: Hey, Goofball! Cicero: YES, LISTENER! Me: Marry me... Cicero: Oooh Listener! Can't you see that's impossible??? Me: ...so you wish to invoke the wrath of Sithis, do you...

I personally think that the night mother being mephala is bs. It has never been explicitly stated or even hinted. Plus it pains me that the assassin guild that I've come to love and respect is just bunch of idiots following a lie.
Isira Ratnayake Mephala is the daedra of deception and murder. Also Sithis is just a force.
In elder Scrolls online you actually see the wrath of Sithis, soooooo yea
The wrath of Sithis is in oblivion as well.
I think the night mother being mephala is perfect. It makes sense with their connection to the morag tong, who worship her. I don’t think they’re idiots following a lie, they’re the only ones she’s probably honest with. For all we know, she truly incarnated physically in a woman to birth her own order. Why couldn’t p she possess, or influence, someone?
Gabriella/mephala connection literally blew my mind
Anyone else find it epic that Voice Actor has Three Dog from fallout 3?
I love your videos so much guys... i literally play them on repeat to fall asleep.... am i weird?
One of the brothers at the three brothers trade goods in the IC market district is named Cicero. Doubt it’s related, but not a very common name.
God i can never stop binging y'all's videos. Another great upload. The Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild have always been my jam, stealth, wealth, murder, getting back at asshats by taking their shit.
I swear if I could save Gabriella or better yet marry her she would be the perfect bride.
I love your lore vids! When will your next build be coming out?
Aye congrats on almost 1 million, been a subscriber since 2014 🙏🏼💯
I always find myself in my darkest times here thank you 🙏🏿
I love "what if" and "theory" videos. Something just clicked with me just now...Has Cicero been to Apocrypha?
Think about it Old man Mora only lets the most intelligent in. Cicero is not an idiot despite the way he acts he is very intelligent. And that place drives people to madness.
Probably not but it would still make a cool theory video
Arnbjorn, His race! His hair! His beard! His black clothes! His axe! PURE HEAVY METAL!!!!
Well, there is an orphanage in Riften that now is full of children who praise the Dark Brotherhood. They could be future members. Who knows?
i have a cool idea if you want somebody taken out you xan use the quill to write the thing and who you want taken out and as soon as you are done a random dark brotherhood member ahows up not a main character and completes the job or fails the job and you can do this as many times you want and random dark brotherhood members show up that are not main characters
It's odd that no one in the circle mentions a Arnbjorn almost as if it is forbidden, and then you take a look at Kodlak and Arnbjorn side by side...
I never really join the Dark Brotherhood in any of my playthrough so it's nice to be able to see some insight with a video like this
Then again for the most of my playthroughs i play a morally good Dragonborn
Cicero was not a member of the Bruma Sanctuary. He was always a member of the Cheydinhal Sanctuary.
it's high time we brought the Dark Brotherhood out of the fading shadows and established ourselves once again as the terror that swept all of Tamriel!
At one point you can see Cissero arguing with a town guard. Come back later and the whole town is dead.
Whoah I thought it was just a carivan
I think covering lucien would have been fitting.
Cicero brother is Aerin and their father's General Tullius
Wasn't Cicero once a merchant in cyrodil during oblivion
That would make Cicero over 200 years old; unless he's a *very* well hidden vampire, he's maybe 24 at most lol
He does reference the adoring fan though 😄
I love the darkbrother hood. but part of me would kind of like a less cultish assassin organization for the next game. it'd be cool to be able to be an assassin that isn't in an organization that has such religious ties to sithis or mephala in the case of the morag tong.
In that case, maybe an Asssassin organization from Daggerfall in High Rock. I can't think of one of the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure there must be one there. Plus, isn't the next Elder Scroll game taking place there? I think I heard about that somewhere.
sancturillore it's either in hammerfell high rock or both. we don't know for certain yet.
@@DragonGunzDorian In that case, I hope we'll also get a bit of Orsinium.
sancturillore dude thatd be awesome. maybe we could get a whole dlc involving orsinium possibly with the choice to finally help them gain independence and be their own province.
Really hoping we run into the Brotherhood in Blades, and get the opportunity to join
You guys should do a oblivion vs skyrim dark brotherhood video like you did with the thieves guild.
Bebbet is an anne rice(lestat/interview with a vampire) easter egg.
Cicero protects Mother. ONLY CICERO!
I sometimes get Hammerfell and Hammerfall mixed up. One is a fictional country and the other a kick ass Swedish heavy metal band .
Get that sanctuary built!!!!! 👍
I knew he sounded familiar!!
Veezara best lizard.
Change my mind.
Could you do a video on the kost powerful followers in vanilla skyrim?
Cicero sounds like Joker
I miss Vazeera... Poor lizard :'C
WOW; I didn't know the adoring fan in Oblivion was Cicero! No wonder everyone wants to kill him.
He wasn't, the adoring fan was a wood elf and Cicero is an imperial
Is Cicero an example of 'mantling', but on a smaller scale? Meaning not mantling a hero or god, but just another mortal.
My hunch is that come TES VI, Aventus Aretino
will be leading the Dark Brotherhood
I love your voice and videos 💝
I've never heard her mention that voiceline in vanilla, but my console doesn't allow new textures, scripts or voices, so... yeah
Hey you guys ever gonna do a morrowind playthrough? Or another oblivion playthrough?
Actually got here pretty early for once lmao.
Could you do the 5th era and "Landfall" that was given to us in the CODA and that love letter thing? Thanks!
Next video Falmer corrupted religion
"Outright bat-shit"
A new cuss word to use 😂😂😂😂
Holy shit
Babette has REALLY seen some shit
I hope the Shadowscales aren't finished. They're perhaps the oldest Assassin order on Tamriel.
Me: Hey, Goofball!
Cicero: YES, LISTENER!
Me: Marry me...
Cicero: Oooh Listener! Can't you see that's impossible???
Me: ...so you wish to invoke the wrath of Sithis, do you...
Crimson Scar video?
