The forsworn were a missed opportunity, there was so much gameplay and quest potential with them but there wasn't anything done with them and they're just a bunch of funny looking bandits
There's the revolution in Markarth. But yeah, outside of that city there really isn't much unfortunately. They're treated more like a reskin for bandits and as such that's what most people think of them.
I find it very dissapointing that after you help Madanach escape only one Forsworn camp turns friendly to you, and you still get attacked when wandering around the Reach. This was probably because a lot of quests around the Reach involve fighting Forsworn, but it would’ve been cool if you could engage in diplomacy with them if you sided with Madanach and complete those quests without having to fight any of them.
None of the factions besides the Thalmor(who's role is limited on purpose) and Miraak ever really flesh out thought, and the fact the Dragonborn is there only sets the stage for their demise, as you take down Forsworn strongholds left and right take out their boy Madanach outta the city, their presence in game though is massive, without the Dragonborn they would have just kept growing more and more, while the Stormcloaks and Imperials would have gotten weaker and weaker, with Madanach on the inside they would have definitely taken over the Reach, they would have had all sorts of Deadra and Hagraven and the Red Eagle on their side they would have probably went on to correct their mistake and got rid of the Nords for good, the Forsworn are stronger then the Stormcloaks, and the Stormcloaks are stronger than the Imperials. The Forsworn would have been more, but you the player stop them.
I totally get the feeling but creating the main quest was enough work for them, especially the never-ending side quests, the immense world. The time they must've spent creating this game...yet whoever dives deeper into the bowels of any lore craves for depth on the surface. The depths of a lore is treasure; it is where we truly find the passion for an intellectual product; it is where we have the most fun. Game developers shouldn't aim THAT deep in practical terms but surely in theoretical terms...they can only go too far. I think in order for us to go deeper into lore, aesthetic and scripted content we need more trusted/qualified modders. The games could cost a little less (or not. For Skyrim SE, the CC added Spell Knight Armor with a short story involving a Breton Order of Knights known as the Knights of the Crypt. Their involvement in Skyrim is that they are hunting a coven of witches as well as their foresworn conspirators who are involved with the corruption and desecration of hearts.
Excellent lore explanation! Also i really appreciate the cinematography, if i may call it so. This generally applies to your channel. You make me fall in love with TES over and over again.

Said nords had been living their since the merethic era so atleast for 500 years likley more.
The idea that Reachmen are just a mix of Bretons and Nords has pretty much been retconned or written off as Imperial propaganda aimed at alienating them in their own homeland. Most of the recent lore about them almost outright gives it away that they're descended from some of the earliest Nedic tribes to have come to Tamriel from Atmora. So, they were there before any Proto-Nord stepped foot in Skyrim
I would love for you guys to do a Reachmen Skyrim build. Non modded please. I might attempt one without you, but you guys are really good at builds. So I'd love for you to think one up. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Always been disappointed that siding with Madanach does not opens a new questline, similar to how With Friends Like This gets you in the Dark Brotherood. If you think about it, Madanach IS right and when he ruled the Reach it was a pacific enough rule. The Empire could going to recognize them as a province and validate Madanach if Ulfric did not fucked up big time. The Silver-Bloods oppression of the natives is what created the modern-days Forsworn, scattering the reachmens around.
Avrysatos Namira could still work -disgusting for us of course but- if you do like the bosmers do and eat your fallen warriors. Without forgetting that cannibalism and Namira worship aren't the same. Bosmers are cannibals without worshipping Namira and some Namira worshippers aren't cannibals, like the ones in Oblivion. Depends on how you worship her. But anyway cannibalism doesn't mean you have to murder personally
The thing is the reachmen aren't natives. They invaded the reach during the Skyrim wars of succession and killed or drive out most of the local nords. This was around 1E 400. Which is atleast 500 years after the area had been settled by the nords as seen by the dragon cult ruins in the area.

the sprititual and pagan elements of the forsworn are spot on with the pre-Catholic gaelic regions. it would've been great if their overall aesthetic followed en suite
I think that was their point. Just like how the Bretons are analogs for The Britons of England the forsworn are a separate cutlures of Bretons just like the celts we Gaels were separate from the Britons.

Fun Fact: If you side with Madanach and visit a friendly Druadach Redoubt, you can transform into a werewolf in the middle of their cave, NO ONE will care. However don’t bet on them recognizing you if you come charging in already in beast form
I’d really like to seek them fleshed out more I think they are super interesting and making them their own playable race would be cool. I don’t like how brutal they look in Skyrim though. I think if they went for a more in tune with nature Druid Pictish look it would be better.
That red sword in the video is clearly modded. Besides being of unfamiliar design, it also bears RL Futhark runes, something not seen in Elder Scrolls lore.
Skyrim really needed more care in the reach the population of “civilians/soldiers” are outnumbered 1000-1 by the foresworn. The fact that the Reach was ruled by 6 KINGDOMS at one point is insane. I wish Bethesda took more care with this area of the map it’s the most interesting and aesthetic of all regions.
Would you say they're the most vicious faction/group? In my mind, Orcs praise physical strength but being strong enough not to be bested in a fight is one thing; another thing is to want revenge. That makes anyone easily triggered, defensive, lethal...I am just a novice at Elder Scrolls lore, btw.

@@thunderbird7020 a vast majority of them worship hircine the most honorable, primal, and neutral of the daedric princes
I want two handed versions of forsworn weapons, like a two handed forsworn battle axe
Immersive weapons, heavy armory, both mods give more weapons of every type
I'm so amaze with this guy😧 this game is so old and he still play it and make videos about it😍 big respect to you bruh😁💖🤗
Great video as always FudgeMuppet i love the elder scrolls series and its lore and i enjoy primitive societies and the forsworn and theyre connection Hircine i love a lot so thanks for another great video:)
Briar hearts seem to be a natural phenomenon like nirn roots.
The Forsworn took Logrolf because he was defiling the alter of one of their gods
dude, it's perfect this video. i liked it a lot.
i just love these people and other savage a.holes across the tamriel!
The more savage ,The less likely to be enslaved...
All these daily videos! I'm loving this!
Fudgemuppet=The only reason I still have faith in bethesda because it seems they can make some damn interesting lore
Boys you guys are legends love seeing your videos in my feed
I can't get enough of your videos.
Video idea: is being a lich worth it?
... I guess he liked it lol
the sprititual and pagan elements of the forsworn are spot on with the pre-Catholic gaelic regions. it would've been great if their overall aesthetic followed en suite
I think that was their point. Just like how the Bretons are analogs for The Britons of England the forsworn are a separate cutlures of Bretons just like the celts we Gaels were separate from the Britons.
Amazing volume of content, and y’all just keep it coming. You guys deserve twice the subscriptions
God your game looks beautiful
Fudgemuppet found your channel a few monthes ago and ever since have been binge watching. I watch every upload you do everyday. You should do a video about if every Race went to war which you think would come out ontop.
Man, when I first saw this video thumbnail I was like “since when is Allmight in Skyrim?”
Keep these videos coming, its turning to be the best summer ever :)
Damn, I'm loving these daily videos.
I've woken up at like 5 am everyday and sat on my couch watching Fudgemuppet. Waiting for the new Fudgemuppet video which will surely appear if I keep praying every morning to the God of knowledge Julianos. Praise be to the Nine and the true Tribunal Dreealsct. (You try coming up with a name that involves Drew, Scott, and Micheal and I'll change it)
The reach is a fantastic place were anarchy rules and 3 armies fight between themselves which are the Legion, Stormcloacks, and Reachmen. 😍
What?
Ahhhhhh Just what i needed! ^w^ thanks mister fudge
Damn real early in the morning 3:30
Leo Fernandez 5:34 actually
3:33

Atmoran Nords: *Pillage the village and take over Skyrim*
Reachmen: Excuse me?!
😂😂😂😂😂
Loving the content boys
4am my time but I cant miss a vid from FudgeMuppet
At the end of the quest No One Escapes Cidhna Mine I killed the Reachmen.
And not just the Reachmen, but the Reachwomen and the Reachchildren, too.
Just got off an 11 hour flight, only to find this waiting for me
Fun Fact: If you side with Madanach and visit a friendly Druadach Redoubt, you can transform into a werewolf in the middle of their cave, NO ONE will care.
Faolan means "little wolf" if I'm not incorrect.
THE REACH WILL BE OURS AGAIN
We worship Molag Bal, because he is the representation of hardship. A reachmans life is hard, We pray to Molag Bal for strength.
So wait, brier hearts are fruits? does this mean some one could grow brier hearts?
That red sword in the video is clearly modded. Besides being of unfamiliar design, it also bears RL Futhark runes, something not seen in Elder Scrolls lore.
It’s a sword in the game they just used a mod to reskin it
Another great video, keep it up!
really loving these videos :D
Skyrim really needed more care in the reach the population of “civilians/soldiers” are outnumbered 1000-1 by the foresworn. The fact that the Reach was ruled by 6 KINGDOMS at one point is insane. I wish Bethesda took more care with this area of the map it’s the most interesting and aesthetic of all regions.
Hopefully they become a playable race, and we get more insight into their culture and their version of history in the coming game.
They are a playable race: they are Bretons. And you can "join" a tribe in the quest 'No one escape Cidna Mine'
When I first saw the bryer hearts in Skyrim I though it was just paint on their chest
The reachmen are actually the last Nedes
I was really dissapointed by not being able to join them
Would you say they're the most vicious faction/group? In my mind, Orcs praise physical strength but being strong enough not to be bested in a fight is one thing; another thing is to want revenge. That makes anyone easily triggered, defensive, lethal...I am just a novice at Elder Scrolls lore, btw.
