As someone who plays NBA 2k for years. Welcome wrestling fans to how 2k works. They will do everything but listen to fans.
Yeah I am done with 2K WWE games after this year's game. No thanks.
The Steiner that everyone wanted in DLC is going to be locked in my faction sigh
The least they could do is if you happen to unlock a superstar like Big Poppa Pump or other alternate attire wrestlers in my faction, you ALSO unlock them in the base game. That would make the people who don’t like my faction play it because there’s motivation to unlock fun alternate attires and new wrestlers
Yup! i would absolutely play the F out of MyFaction if i unlocked the wrestlers in all modes
I would play it alot too if they did that but in interviews 2k said they won't. They claim it's too difficult to do but they have unlockables in my rise so it seems like a accuse to me!

My Faction is the reason I've shelved this game. The tipping point for me was not being able to use Stunning Steve Austin and Booker T '01 in other modes.
My Faction is useless IMO - it's a stupid mode for a fringe fan base of the WWE 2K series.
Anybody who doesn't know, the model is available to download on 2k23 with commentary, entrance, and moves. Only available because 2k already had the character there, modders found it then put it on community creations for people to download. You don't need the dlc either, I think same thing with the Fiend if they haven't fixed it.
This might he the straw that breaks my back....I'm so sick of myfaction stuff being locked in that pos mode. I hate hate hate the mode more than words can even describe
I love the dlc Steiners. I use them all the time in universe and exhibition. But this is bullshit. Big Poppa Pump is iconic
This is kinda why i pefered 2k22 not only because the gameplay was changed but also how fresh things felt with my-faction and my-rise characters being uploaded this year it feels underwhelming because things are are locked and and it feels like they are toying with us and not listening
They proved that "its a separate team" bullshit wrong when in 2k22 they added the myRise characters that were initially locked and unable to be locked. myFaction isn't that much different
I would love to play as Dark Alexa and Lilly in Exhibition but sadly we can’t.
As a huge Big Poppa Pump fan, this makes me feel sadness
Would it kill them to just have different skins or outfits for MyFaction? They have all these different tiers, but it means nothing. Give me something to work for. Like, if there was a Diamond Undertaker with his OG black and gray gear. I would want that. I would work for that. All we get though is the same character and skin, but with better stats.

If you’ve played Madden, NBA or FIFA you know full well if you support this mode the game will be flooded with pay walls and advertising for micro transactions in a few years…
I feel like I’m in 2013 playing FUT and seeing the warning signs back then.
The fans can stop this. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS MODE.
I understand collecting and grinding is fun but it is not worth the end game these developers have in mind. They want more money from you. That’s what it’s all about
Ok, now I'm actually starting to get a little irritated. This was the iteration of Scott I was expecting to be in the game because it was the one he had during his actual WWE run... I mean, like I'm glad they're adding him officially because of the possibility of him being added in thanks to whatthestatus, but if they block him like they did with the recent releases than that sucks. Also, I'm at like 98 out of a 100 caw slots so I'm running out of space, would be nice if this was just an official alt or separate character.

Yea I agree with you Assemble. I tried to like myfaction but just hated it. And hate that you cant have them in the base game. I feel WWE has been going downhill lately with the games. Their career mode was something i looked forward to. I just wish theyd expand more on the story mode. Make it like other sport games, where even after tge story was over, you keep playing the mode. Like do long term challenges to do so when you retire you can get inducted in the hall of fame. I was hoping to love the return to gm mode but just seems too complicated for me.
All in all, if they dont fix things, i might honestly skip next years game, especially with this exclusivity to a mode that stinks
My Faction could be interesting to some but not much.
Gm mode is the mode for me. Give the freedom in GM Mode to choose my show and what Titles are on my show and il be forever happy and would say that mode is close to perfect.
My faction in itself existing is not the problem, the problem is locking shit behind it.
Its crap that we spend over $100 on a game to still get content locked behind a paywall
Although I have little faith in 2K, maybe this is their new marketing model….putting in characters we wants behind My Faction and seeing the reaction. Those characters will then be available in the base game (or DLC) for WWE 2K24.
Again, I hold little faith for 2K!
That won't work. There's no guarantee the Superstars people want will actually still be employed by WWE the next year. So yeah, no. Unless 2K are morons (which is looking more and more likely), they won't use that model because it doesn't work.

On top of this, I want to know where the other free goodies are. They gave us that first batch of characters(which is awesome) but they made it seem like they had more coming.

Preach Matt! All they have do is make it an OPTION to purchase as sperate DLC! Enough of this separate teams nonsense working on the game. You profit more by doing it this way! Also by going this route you open up the chance to create more stars that will definitely not be in game since we have the limited 100 slots.
my faction has badges and stats on every card. depending on the game match you’re in. someone please explain how meaningless matches in universe modes are fun? i’m so confused
I got some thoughts on these packs in sports games. It seems like they are trying to make sports cards digital. In my area if you go to a store the card shelves are ALWAYS full now
You also gotta understand this, they said a different team does the MyFaction content than the ones doing the main game stuff. Also in MyFaction they don't have to worry about entrance motions and music because there are no entrances in MyFaction. Like I said Steiner is already in the base game with the hair change in CC and they even added his entrance motion.
That's a load of BS because the MyFaction Exclusive Wrestlers come with full music and motions. The MyFaction Exclusive Wrestlers are FULLY FEATURED, yet it's locked behind MyFaction.
@@ForeverDegenerate actually no they don't come with music and motions. Alot of the time their entrance motion is already in the game but their music and trons do not come with them. In the past when someone like Status made a MyFaction character for community creations the reason it has their music and tron was because it was carried over from the previous game that had them. For example stunning Steve Austin is in MyFaction but he doesn't have his theme in the files.
@@MrBlack252 I was more referring to versions of Superstars that aren't in the base game. Otherwise where the heck does Status stuff like the DX Theme, Motions, and Tron? You mentioned previous games, but how about Superstars who either weren't in previous games or used different gimmicks and music and stuff in previous games? Ever Superstar pulled from MyFaction is given their appropriate stuff and I fail to see how that is possible if the MyFaction Version didn't have that stuff in there and Status just extracted it with the different outfit/model.
what the heck do people do in universe mode? play meaningless matches with zero point and zero goal? i’m clueless on any mode with zero goals or endgame.
As I've said before if you unlocked the character models in all other modes once you unlocked them in myfaction, I would actually have incentive to play myfaction....currently I hardly ever log into myfaction
you're on the money with the logic you're using, but 2K devs only have money as their reasoning. even for their NBA game, 2K has been in money grab mode for quite some time. I try to enjoy MyFaction but after a few matches, it's stale and repetitive. Never spent a dime, just grinded. that VC scam is horrible 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️
I would love to know how many actually like the idea of My Faction exclusive as a good idea. I'm almost sure most of us would pay for exta dlc type characters that are also in My Faction
That's what makes my faction special that's there design in NBA there's models that you can't get in the other modes
I hope they fix the stability issues I've had since the last update the game crashes more than ever

I imagine at some point all legends will be locked away in myfaction. Madden used to have legends and now they're locked behind MUT.
My faction is boring to me and never played it but once before! I knew they would do this when it first came out!
14:32 This made me realise why they don't just put them as $5 DLC but MyFaction locked content instead, if it's $15-20 for MyFaction packs then 2K is making more money by default and it isn't a guarantee that those packs will get you the character you want so now you have to spend more and more money until you get what you want from a pack, terrible
8:36 u gotta explain it right bro the side plates and everything does matter and it does effect the matches the point of myfaction is to work to play as your people you like most people don’t use legends or old superstars half the time in other modes
The Thing is because the content that they are releasing exclusively for my faction is really cool. Stuff that the general fans want to see in a game anyway. And the fact that they pretty much bait and switch us. With that, I think it's lazy that they can't work with the other team to make it. Transferable from one mode to the other. And I think it's also done on purpose. But I also think that is a good way to shut out your gaming audience. It's who maybe not wanting to invest either in the game overall or just that mode. I can't see really a whole lot of people saying that they're gonna skip the next game, but i'd better if nobody logs into my faction. And if nobody is seen playing at that might throw a monkey wrench in their development plan. And it might make them see that maybe it's a bad idea. To use exclusive content locked behind one mode.
This is what makes me mad about the WWE this my faction but it won't put version of the Superstar ingame
Yeah, I would play MyFaction if it was integrated with Universe Mode and playing MyFaction opened up new roster options and storyline events.
I play my faction every day lol i like that they have different match types and they force me to use wrestlers i might not otherwise. I wish they had Big Poppa Pump in the base game, but im still glad hes in My Faction at least.
I've had this model as an alt for Scott Steiner since the day the Steiner DLC came out.
i’ve spent 0 dollars in myfaction and i grind and it’s literally the only game mode with any goal.
This might seem useless but does someone know how I can contact 2K about the issues with My Factions. I looked on their website but only see info for technical issues nothing for just customer concerns. I know it probably won’t change their minds but I feel if more of their customers make a statement maybe someone will listen. I just want to say my piece to them and then move on.
I honestly don't see the point in MYFaction because it's not like the NBA 2K or MUT where the different tier cards have different attributes.
Since the wrestlers don't have real attributes and this mode doesn't make sense
What I don’t understand is that yes it’s a smaller team doing my faction and they can’t port it in to the main game but why not hand it over to the main team and let them do the rest I mean in a year they close the servers and all those my faction cards will be gone and you lost your money
And how come they could port myrise wrestlers last year but not MyFaction
@@AssembleShow that is very true and if they really wanted ppl to play my faction why not remove the option to buy packs with real money and let ppl grind to Bost play hours on that mode and then just like in my rise the things you unlock can then be used in the main game that way they ensure that ppl are playing multiple modes it opens up creative ways for the dev team to add new things to the a player base that wants to come back and play these modes and a foundation of repeat customers and addition of new players each year 2k needs to do better i feel like yes there is a monetization aspect but investing in the longevity of the series to me is more important maybe im wrong

@OvernightCrew Hard to pinpoint, but I would say once you beat the other modes and have all the trophies, it is the only mode that keeps me coming back because of live events and weekly towers. If it wasn't for MyFaction I probably would've stopped playing the game months ago.
@@OvernightCrew I think its just youre always grinding and working towards something. Like trying to get a certain card or getting enough My factions points to get a pack. Think I like that the feeling when ive been working for a certain card I want and finally get it.
Stop playing it. It’s ruining the game
I spend most of my time in myfaction. Haven't bought any premium currency on principle. Personally, I think all superstars should be available in other modes as well.
one last thing before i go. sorry, i’m not trying to pick a fight. i’m trying to explain the appeal of the game more. it reminds me of the old school mortal kombat ladders where i need to battle each wrestler to earn the main reward.
and no you cannot just purchase individual cards. these cards are challenging to obtain which again…. makes it fun.

Yes, people should boycott the game if they aren't happy with the direction things are going. You get what you allow. Don't buy the stuff. Go and play the old games that you enjoyed and use CAW modes to create new wrestlers, or the wrestlers you want. Especially if the servers are still running.

It’s crazy. We basically went three years without a game and people still haven’t learned. “Please, 2k…hurry up and take advantage of me so you can do it again every single year”
AEW Fight for a couple of minutes and turn it off has unfortunately emboldened them, remember when they were gonna make this amazing game better than 2k and we got a popcorn fart
@@JM1993951 Because they know that people will buy it anyway. It's like Madden or Call of Duty at this point. They've got their installed base that's going to eat up whatever trash they serve with a smile and ask for seconds. We have to stop doing that. Before last year's game I hadn't bought a WWE game since SVR2011. I'm more than happy to take another long break and spend my money elsewhere.
I fact, it's actually the same with the wrestling product on TV. More AEW to be exact. They've got their base and they're happy with it. No need to change anything or actually grow and take more market share. They're good because they know their fans will buy and support whatever they're given.

NBA 2k started off the same way. It takes time for it to get good alot of ppl do play this it expanded the life cycle alot of ppl don't like to play online because ppl are cheap it's for some not for others there trying to figure it out

How? If you have the Steiner DLC pack you can get big poppa pump in community creations with the hair change and everything. They even put his entrance in the game all you gotta do is add nWo music. Not a big deal at all.

I play only MyFaction, but I would never spend a penny on it. I like a grindey and collecting mode, but I do agree with everyone that locking characters behind it is bullshit. The mode also has so much untapped potential. This game mode COULD be thriving, but they don't care about it
My faction will probably be in games for a while because if you look at how you get vc they charge real world money it even goes as high as $99.99.
I would understand if its teasing DLC content for next years game, but we know it's not.

I don't bother with My Faction, they'd get me into if content was unlockable for the main game.

MyFaction is the only thing I play on the game, but I never spend any money on it. If they make the GM mode better, I might play that, but it's useless to me currently.

I want more 80s and 90s Legendary Wrestlers to play in the game as playable characters
2k has a decent MyTeam mode in NBA 2K , EA has a semi enjoyable mode in Madden Ultimate team and FUT in FIFA soccer but 2k dropped the ball in Myfaction

There's no point in not at least putting them in exhibition mode, otherwise what's the point of even making them? Exhibition and Universe should be the mode where you can use everything you've unlocked, it gives us a reason to play those modes. It's the reason people bother unlocking characters in fighting games at all.
Can you imagine if Tekken or Mortal Kombat did this? A cool unique character you can only unlock by playing the mode nobody likes but you can only play them in that mode nobody likes. Not even in the freeplay.

It's honestly not that big of a deal. I've had big poppa pump for months now because of modders changing the hair on the Steiner model. It's literally the same so technically we already have him.

I played for maybe a month it wasn’t bad but very repetitive and I only played to keep busy
Hi Matt MyFaction Mode exclusivity is frustrating and dumb! MyFaction characters should be inclusive or MyFaction should just hang it up, it's an awful mode! When it comes to WWE Wrestling games all Superstars, Legends, etc. should NEVER be Exclusive to one mode it restricts characters that we want to use throughout all of the game modes!!!

My Faction could be fun but 2K would rather be greedy then give us quality. There is just so much wrong with this mode repetitive Matches(so many ladder matches) all wrestlers have the same Payback(second chance) most wrestlers have the same attires with slightly different stats in each ranks(just lazy, give us different attires for a gold,silver ect version of the same wrestler) allow us to get just the wrestler I want, no duplicate wrestler cards im card packs( I use in game currency to get a card I already own,BS) there is so much more wrong with this mode but that’s just a few things off the top of my head.
TBH..i could care less..i dont play my Faction and CC have him already..plus the longevity of this game is in E Feds

I love my faction it’s very fun in my opinion and I think people saying you have to spend a bunch of money are incorrect and people saying that myfaction should be removed are very selfish in my opinion. I don’t think locking characters and stuff like that behind myfaction is right at all I just think people that have those opinions are very closed minded.

Imo 2k is a profit first company and if ppl weren't playing myfaction and or not making money on myfaction, it would be gone, there are tons and tons of creators that deal with just my faction and card collecting so there is a demand for the content...
myfaction is good, I like the grinding. I have no issue with it one bit. and im not a crybaby. I'm an adult
