That is awesome to find out man. I gotta say this really helps with what I do. The only thing that sucks is no show intro. Not pyro start up. It just goes right into the matches
It’s not even a “broken game” though…just a few features are broken that can be patched up. It’s still a really good game imo. Not everyone has the same issues.

But the creation suite and universe modes are still built on top of an unstable engine. 2k will be patching the same issues in every yearly release up until they rebuild the engine. If you just use the in game wrestlers and avoid using the Creation suite modes and options the game works great. But you try to use the creation suite modes the game is buggy,glitchy, and some options will crash your game. Which should never happen in a $65 game. They built 2k22 and 2k23 on top of 2k20. Visual Concepts built 2k20 off the 2k18 engine. When they developed on top 2k18 they broke the Creation suite as well as the game play engine. That is why 2k20 was broken at launch. And even patched the game is barely playable.
Also to add as far as the managers there is a way in Universe mode to come in LAST, have your managers without giving the opposite team a manager. What you have to do is give YOURSELF "2" MANAGERS instead of 1. The Problem will be fixed you come out LAST, have your managers... Unfortunately you can't add a 3rd manager without he or she disappearing unless you give the opposing team a manager

Also found some fixes. Sliders don’t work on ple shows or ai booked matches without rival actions. To fix you must delete every match the ai booked and rebook them yourself. Sadly, rivalry matches won’t have sliders working on ple shows since those are ai booked, and changing the match removes the rivalry. Sucks you can’t add rivalry actions to ple matches unless it’s a rivalry match. With managers I discovered the middle manager slot is broken when you create a match with managers. So with judgement day, I put Damian as the first manager, a random person in the middle slot, and Rhea in the third. All three of them came out with there judgement day entrance. Also using the left side as well.
any other information on why sliders might not work in universe? i rebooked an ai match to have low hp and my sliders are supposed to make kicking out harder, but i noticed people were kicking out much better in universe than they were in normal play with the same settings. EDIT: I believe i found the issue, rival actions reset health back to full even when the rival action doesn't lower/set health in the description :( huge bummer since i like to book any non title match as low hp to help things move a long a little faster and to give weaker moves a chance to be the pinning move in a non title match
When I first saw this video’s thumbnail, I thought it was going to be a wishlist of what would fix Universe in the future. Can’t believe this is actually a legit fix and it makes so much sense. Currently clearing out allies and stuff, can’t wait to dig in
I tried this out and so far it works fine. Only problem is that you can no longer use highlight reel videos for intros to Created shows. And no true tag team rivalry storylines that actually put all members of tag teams in matches. You still get some crappy booking by the computer every few shows. Where they mix up tag teams. Like having Jimmy Uso team up with Riddle and Jey Uso will team up with Randy Orton and wrestle each other in a match lol. But for the most part your tip of hard resetting the Universe mode works very well. Thanks!
Agree. I would get Damage Control (by themselves) vs Alexa Bliss and Bayley. However, I didn't have Bayley as manager, only as a member of Dmg Control.
Great effort and video. Universe is my go to mode every year (first game since 2k17 for me) and I love making my own storylines and write things down. will try this after my next wrestlemania and starting with a draft so great to clean it up before then.
Thank you man. I’d given up on Universe mode when I noticed no matter what I did Romans entrance was broken and it was ruining all my main events/ppv’s, along with all the broken rivalries etc. I’m gong to give it another chance now with these instructions, thanks again.
Another good idea is since some superstars will fight for different titles in real life putting all the titles on 1 show doesn't work so create a hour 1 and hour 2 show. So Monday I put raw 1st hour with the women's tag title men's tag title for slots 2 and 3, for slot one put any heavyweight title (it doesn't matter cause it wont be used) note that women's single titles cant be set to the main title on a show (last time I checked unless its been patched since) Now on Tuesday you can make raw 2nd hour with the world title and women's title and intercontinental title so now single stars can challenge for their single title or if they have a partner they can still go for a tag title. If there is someone that wants to go for the world title and the intercontinental title for example just put those on different shows.

Thank you so much for this video, this is my first wwe 2k game since wwe'12 and I was looking forward to playing GM mode and Universe so I was disappointed with some of the mess within the universe mode, this fix most of the issues for me, I ended up leaving the managers as is when deleting the allies/rivals and so far it's been working for me and managers show up for normal matches.
Looks an amazing video, however as new in WWE2k, I didnt understand a single thing you said, no screens explaining most of the phases etc. I will come later after playing for a few days, looks good idead here, but no newbie friendly. Also doesnt say if auto rivals on/off, or if should editt powerranks. Also at the start it shows WWE on wednesdays and just later it magically disappear. Dont say its an aweful guide, its just for people knowing what to do already. For new people is mostly useless, just my 2 cents.
I divide the roster make sure raw and smackdown have the same size and then put more talent into Nxt. haven’t played a wwe game since 18’ so it’s was a whirlwind when i started up 23.
Lol talking bout it takes 15 to 20 minutes…I’m already 40 minutes in just now getting to the M’s… lol this part takes forever! Deleting the allies & enemies & managers!!!! Thanks for the help anyway lol
I know im late to the party, but just followed this video and fixed 99% of Universe mode problems. The 1% it didn't seem to fix however was rivalries ending if you choose to play the match. They only end if you simulate. Which renders universe mode pointless imo (i dont want to simulate, i want to play my game). But obviously thats 2ks fault for releasing a broken game. So huge upvote for at least fixing as much as possible.
Honestly couldn’t care less about managers since heel manages rarely do what they are supposed to do at ringside on their own. And honestly there needs to be a save file for this fix, cba to manually go through and remove EVERY ally/enemy from EVERY superstar.
Another dumb thing, after the smackdown ref debacle last year they had the balls to release the game with refs defaulting to a ref that’s NOT EVEN SELECTABLE. Prior to 1.05 if u picked ref white dude ref or smackdown, nxts and the women (prob all but those were the ones I wanted for shows) they default to the Dawkins lookin ref that’s not even selectable. After 1.05 u can finally select your ref HOWEVER, when you back out of uni they default. Also, roll out sliders aren’t working. Every match 2-4 rolls out and every time opponent does a suicide dive or top rope dive to the outside. They fixed reversal sliders but roll outs are still brutal Really missing show intros, breaks out post match and hitting next to go into next match. Just less immersive. Wish they’d just let us insert cut scenes where and when with whomever we want instead of rivalry system.
This is happening to me too, the refs default to that Dawkins guy.. and even if I have them selected right on the shows, I only see them correct when I preview a show
@@SitrishTV the only way it works now is if u set the ref per match match... which i actually would probably start doing all the time even if it worked the way we were used to... so whenever u set up a match on a card, hit options when ur selecting the wrestlers for the match and set the ref there....works perfect every time for me unless you edit the match completly. Even stays the same if u just "customize participants"
Huge thanks, I play mostly on Universe and was kinda disappointed... Tested with your methode and it works ! Different opponents every week and you can have rivalry with wrestlers from other divisions (I switch tag for a second women's championship) but don't seem to cause bug. Thanks again! So far my universe is working. Tag teams are fighting tag teams. Matche booking isn't stupid. The only thing now i have to do is just remove the champions from appearing in matches weekly. Good job and thank you, fam.
I wasn't sure if champions were supposed to be appearing weekly. I see the same thing. They're not even championship matches. Do you just remove those matches and have the champions fight at PLEs?
@Kelly G Depends on if I put them in a rivalry. I remove them and put them in matches against the #1 contender. If i leave them, I end up doing tit for tat booking and trade the title back and forth for a few PLEs
@@monicagudino6738 I haven't had any rivalries break off just yet. I'm finishing up my first month of universe mode and everything seems to be working so far. I do see a patch update coming. Some minor bugs from a presentation standpoint. None of my titles i've assigned have shown up on any of the player intros for feuds.
You can get the bloodline four men entrance motion in Universe mode. You only need to give reigns his opponent also a manager. If you don’t do that, then it doesn’t work. The bloodline entrance is without the trons, but at least it is something 😅
If you want Reigns to enter last with his 4 man entrance, the opposing superstar has to have a manager. If Roman enters first, the opposing superstar does not need a manager, IF you select the left side of the matchup first.

Thanks for the video. Seems to be working great so far. Took about an hour or so to get everything stripped down and rebuilt but the time is well worth it. Can actually enjoy Universe Mode now.
The only thing I’ve noticed that works if of you add a manager to the opponents side then add all the managers to to Roman and it works but uses Roman’s tron instead of bloodline and USOs don’t bring titles but this was before I used this tutorial
Let’s say your Roman coming out with (Paul, Jimmy, & Jey) have them on the left side also for the opponent add a manager with them and it should work if not add another manger making The Bloodline (4) and whoever your using or going against have (3) in total. It works though it’s just a method to the madness
My biggest issue that I cant really find anything on is that while simming some matches the participants/match type completely change. A 1v1 rivalry match turn into a 1v2 with the two new people being not in the rivalry to begin with. Easily the most annoying bug I am experiencing.
That's probably because it's a rivalry action where your rival leaves you to compete against those two opponents. If you actually play it out, you can see the cutscences as to why it happened that way.
I did some experimenting and it turns out you can transfer each individual superstar that you may have edited during your previous universe mode. Change their attributes by one in your previous Universe modes Superstar settings then save it to your new universe. It will not transfer over allies or managers just the attributes and entrances that you may have changed
Yup, but I don’t think you need to up an attribute. I just went into moveset, hit start and selected the new universe save and boom, characters move sets and everything updated. I was dreading having to do all my move sets over
Stumbled upon this video when I noticed the fuckery in 2k23 Universe mode and took some liberties while following your guide. Just my 2 cents: Idk if a patched changed something since this video, but all you really have to do is remove and re-add all the shows for that year (except PPV). Also it's highly recommended if you have a tag team, to put each member as an ally to prevent forced booking against each other. i.e. a 3rd group member + solo wrestler vs the original 2 tag team. I've only tested a few months so far, but tag teams and managers in general seem pretty consistent compared to before.
My issues on Universe is when I have a tag team rivalry (between for example The Usos and Alpha Academy), if I pick a rivalry action that needs a 3rd team, Universe with randomly throw two roster members together rather than another tag team. Another issue is my rivalries don’t end. Most of the time I have to just delete the rivalry so I don’t really get any satisfying conclusions or past rivalry history. Any pointers on these?
Dude thank you... It's fucking ridiculous that people like you and me not only have to fix the game but literally do 2Ks job for them so we as a community do not need to suffer. Thanks alot my dude. Your work did not go unnoticed. Also I wish people didn't lock their CAWs or if anyone knows away around it because I easily have some of the best caws in the game but cannot upload and share them. ( I know their the best because I took the best available CAWs and polished them up to save time. Still waiting for a good FTR and some NJPW caws but I have a solid AEW roster the community would love. My Daniel Garcia, Jericho, Sami, Cesaro, Punk, Cassidy and a few others look better than the 2k creations lol. They look life life especially Garcia lol ( idk why he came out so good tbh ) If I was using a PC and not PS5vI could mod and do even more but don't have it for pc atm.
I just came across this video and I tried it on 2k22 and I seen cutscenes that I never seen before I had a rivalry where I seen the opponent become a face to kick off a rivalry against a heel and now I’m highly interested to see where it goes great video def earned a sub shame on 2k for having us do all that to get it to work properly

Also the fact that you understand that them adding a manager slot to the main game but didn't do it in Universe mode so it messes with the coding and the game recognizing the manager but 2K devs can't or should I say didn't cared enough to change is quite sad. Thank you though!
This fix is great however, it seems that when you create the make shift show on Wednesday, once you delete that Raw and NXT in the first week it pops the calendar to start on that Wednesday of the first week. Then when you do all the deleting of the allies/enemies/managers, fix the tags, then pop back into the calendar to add the shows back, it still has it starting out at that Wednesday and then when you delete the make shift show it moves the start date to that newly added Friday Smackdown. I re-did this fix and it did it again so I guess that's how it is. Which that actually makes you not be able to create rivalries until the 2nd month because SHORT rivalries are 4 weeks and end at the PLE at the end of that month. So with this fix now making you start Raw and NXT in week 2 it makes it that if you create rivalries for them they start on week 2 not week 1 which would cause them to go past the PLE at the end of May.
Use that universe as a template and copy it over to another slot which will start on a fresh week and you won’t have this problem. That’s at least what I did.
Wow!! Thanks for putting in the work bro! Heres a few tips. *Be careful using highlight reel titantron videos for created wrestlers tag teams. It may corrupt your universe save file. And you wont be able to continue or reload that universe . *The Charm city victory motion is bugged and will crash your game. *Converting a highlight reel clip to video in the video editor will also crash your game.
Don't forget that since you deleted and recreated all the shows, you'll have to go back through every wrestler and redraft them. It's a lot of wrestlers but should be worth it to put them in (or kick them out of) the shows you want. I used wikipedia's "2023 WWE draft" chart.
Followed all these steps and then had a match with Damage Control vs Bayley in a tag match. Sadly I think the game is the game no matter what you do but barring that it seems okay.
I can't wait to try this! Universe mode is pretty much the only mode I play, so I haven't been able to enjoy this year's game at all yet. Huge thanks for taking the time to figure all this out & sharing!
The biggest thing left that still bothers me is that the new rivalry system completely removes entrances and keeps changing saved tag matches to singles. I wish there was a way around that. I may just start removing rivalry actions completely.

I haven’t even started using Universe Mode yet because I’m so disgusted with the state it’s in. Also the fact that Codys theme doesn’t work when you use alternate attires for him but I’m going to try this out. Thank you for doing what the devs fail to do, fix the game.

I'm lost a bit. I as well am doing this on slot 3. So am I deleting my original one that quit working 😥? And then fixing everything by manually adjusting things? Then when you cope slot 3 where's the stopping point to where all u need to do is copy if it happens again? I'm soo upset I've had so much going on 😢
all is well, after you have your universe file completely set up, don't play it instead go to load the click your file, hit copy the put it in a new slot, after that play the slot you just made and if anything happens to it then you will have your original one you didnt play to use there, so you can copy it again if you want
Too bad that 2k doesn't take the time to fix the problems with Universe and force the players to do all the work for them. They should pay the consumer for fixing their problems.
This is awesome thank you for your dedication to fixing this mode that I once loved. I take it having multiple mangers still doesn’t trigger the factions proper entrances though?
My biggest add-on is do not delete raw, and SmackDown swap them out for your desire show.. I’ve noticed if you keep wrestlemania and Other paper views, the same but change their skin - you get a lot of different results. Some cut scenes are specific to wrestlemania and you lose them without keeping the original data and just swapping the arena and ring
If this works…. I spend hours testing ish too and I been trying to figure out why in tag and multi man tag matches team 1 gets booed and team 2 gets cheered no matter what they’re set to. I thought it was because of adding a ppv on Sunday but it happened again. I say again cus by default, at first every one gets cheered across the board during moves while during entrances and taunts they act accordingly… which I can deal with over the team 1 boo team 2 cheer nonsense so I settle. The managers I notice only work on the first player side. I feel like not being able to set actual managers to shows is whats messing them up too (since ur locked out of shows if ur not on there)because I had butch and ridge on nxt and sheamus on smackdown set to come out first with them on nxt but when the match up screen came he was on the other team and didn’t even show up. Then I added sheamus to nxt and it worked fine… problem happens with Roman and Paul but only if their in the 2 player slot which kills title matches or wanting them to come out second
As much as I appreciate this, man...the fact that you have to literally do all this to do something the devs are too lazy and money hungry to do is diheartening and sad. I have no patience for this.

Yes you can, I normally do a week to let everything flow and then play, you can clear any rivals you don't want, you can make your own from there, or let universes decide, those rivalries will conclude at your first PLE
@@BeachBytes so far in default ones. i haven't used any created ones yet. when i say it doesnt work, what i mean is, the who stadium is still very lit and even on Bayou Cultist lighting its not very dark at all.
I wish I could give this more thumbs up. This definitely helped. It even helped with the issue I had with not being able to delete arenas that I put into universe mode even after deleting the entire universe mode. It’s wild how long Universe mode has been broken, probably since it showed up back in what WWE 12? At least then there wasn’t 10 games worth of additional code making it even more buggy on top of a mode that wasn’t every optimized.

Anyone else have issues with this causing it not to work right...Everytime I re-add Smackdown in slot 6 of championships ends up a MITB with a blank wrestler and a triangle with an exclamation over the face? I've deleted all custom superstars and it still happens and can't find a way to fix it
It’s more like an hour and a half to make sure everything’s right but whats an hour and a half compared to how many hours gamers put in games anyway. I take longer than that just editing and messing around. I get enjoyment out of adjusting and editing so Trust me it’s nothing and it’s well worth it.

Sadly, I followed all these steps and my rivalries are still broken. The ones I actively play still don’t end at the end of the month. PLE’s are on the 4th week of the month. Deleted allies, enemies, and managers. :(
I’ve noticed that after reloading into my save that certain superstars (this was actually all of the dlc superstars added post launch, free ones too) but their manager settings had reset
Does this give more logical automatic Rivalries & card bookings? I dont do My own bookings etc because of time constraints and the standard bookings/Rivalry logic kills me
Great stuff here; I followed the instructions and everything was working (mostly) perfectly until I lost my save for the second time. Not going to try again until they fix that.

Thank you man. I’d given up on Universe mode when I noticed no matter what I did Romans entrance was broken and it was ruining all my main events/ppv’s, along with all the broken rivalries etc. I’m gong to give it another chance now with these instructions, thanks again.

Another good idea is since some superstars will fight for different titles in real life putting all the titles on 1 show doesn't work so create a hour 1 and hour 2 show. So Monday I put raw 1st hour with the women's tag title men's tag title for slots 2 and 3, for slot one put any heavyweight title (it doesn't matter cause it wont be used) note that women's single titles cant be set to the main title on a show (last time I checked unless its been patched since) Now on Tuesday you can make raw 2nd hour with the world title and women's title and intercontinental title so now single stars can challenge for their single title or if they have a partner they can still go for a tag title. If there is someone that wants to go for the world title and the intercontinental title for example just put those on different shows.

Thank you so much for this video, this is my first wwe 2k game since wwe'12 and I was looking forward to playing GM mode and Universe so I was disappointed with some of the mess within the universe mode, this fix most of the issues for me, I ended up leaving the managers as is when deleting the allies/rivals and so far it's been working for me and managers show up for normal matches.
Great that you explained it! Speaking of Managers. You can add lita as the manager for edge and you will have an extra entrance. 😂
Looks an amazing video, however as new in WWE2k, I didnt understand a single thing you said, no screens explaining most of the phases etc.
I will come later after playing for a few days, looks good idead here, but no newbie friendly. Also doesnt say if auto rivals on/off, or if should editt powerranks. Also at the start it shows WWE on wednesdays and just later it magically disappear.
Dont say its an aweful guide, its just for people knowing what to do already. For new people is mostly useless, just my 2 cents.
I divide the roster make sure raw and smackdown have the same size and then put more talent into Nxt. haven’t played a wwe game since 18’ so it’s was a whirlwind when i started up 23.
Lol talking bout it takes 15 to 20 minutes…I’m already 40 minutes in just now getting to the M’s… lol this part takes forever! Deleting the allies & enemies & managers!!!! Thanks for the help anyway lol

I know im late to the party, but just followed this video and fixed 99% of Universe mode problems.
The 1% it didn't seem to fix however was rivalries ending if you choose to play the match. They only end if you simulate.
Which renders universe mode pointless imo (i dont want to simulate, i want to play my game).
But obviously thats 2ks fault for releasing a broken game.
So huge upvote for at least fixing as much as possible.

Honestly couldn’t care less about managers since heel manages rarely do what they are supposed to do at ringside on their own. And honestly there needs to be a save file for this fix, cba to manually go through and remove EVERY ally/enemy from EVERY superstar.
Another dumb thing, after the smackdown ref debacle last year they had the balls to release the game with refs defaulting to a ref that’s NOT EVEN SELECTABLE. Prior to 1.05 if u picked ref white dude ref or smackdown, nxts and the women (prob all but those were the ones I wanted for shows) they default to the Dawkins lookin ref that’s not even selectable. After 1.05 u can finally select your ref HOWEVER, when you back out of uni they default.
Also, roll out sliders aren’t working. Every match 2-4 rolls out and every time opponent does a suicide dive or top rope dive to the outside. They fixed reversal sliders but roll outs are still brutal
Really missing show intros, breaks out post match and hitting next to go into next match. Just less immersive. Wish they’d just let us insert cut scenes where and when with whomever we want instead of rivalry system.

This is happening to me too, the refs default to that Dawkins guy.. and even if I have them selected right on the shows, I only see them correct when I preview a show
@@SitrishTV the only way it works now is if u set the ref per match match... which i actually would probably start doing all the time even if it worked the way we were used to... so whenever u set up a match on a card, hit options when ur selecting the wrestlers for the match and set the ref there....works perfect every time for me unless you edit the match completly. Even stays the same if u just "customize participants"
Huge thanks, I play mostly on Universe and was kinda disappointed... Tested with your methode and it works ! Different opponents every week and you can have rivalry with wrestlers from other divisions (I switch tag for a second women's championship) but don't seem to cause bug. Thanks again! So far my universe is working. Tag teams are fighting tag teams. Matche booking isn't stupid. The only thing now i have to do is just remove the champions from appearing in matches weekly. Good job and thank you, fam.
I wasn't sure if champions were supposed to be appearing weekly. I see the same thing. They're not even championship matches. Do you just remove those matches and have the champions fight at PLEs?

Depends on if I put them in a rivalry. I remove them and put them in matches against the #1 contender. If i leave them, I end up doing tit for tat booking and trade the title back and forth for a few PLEs

@@monicagudino6738 I haven't had any rivalries break off just yet. I'm finishing up my first month of universe mode and everything seems to be working so far. I do see a patch update coming. Some minor bugs from a presentation standpoint. None of my titles i've assigned have shown up on any of the player intros for feuds.
You can get the bloodline four men entrance motion in Universe mode. You only need to give reigns his opponent also a manager. If you don’t do that, then it doesn’t work. The bloodline entrance is without the trons, but at least it is something 😅
It also works for the nwo entrance. But with the nwo entrance you will also get the trons
So reigns with the 3 managers on the left side, than his opponent has to have a manager?
If you want Reigns to enter last with his 4 man entrance, the opposing superstar has to have a manager. If Roman enters first, the opposing superstar does not need a manager, IF you select the left side of the matchup first.
Is there a way for me to just edit the tag team stable and insert my caws in those slots and retain the bloodline entrance?
Hopefully 2K fixes Universe Mode in the next patch.

Thanks for the video. Seems to be working great so far. Took about an hour or so to get everything stripped down and rebuilt but the time is well worth it. Can actually enjoy Universe Mode now.

The only thing that isnt working is the bloodline entrance, I've tried it twice and 1 of the 3 managers switched sides
Paul with roman works just fine still playing around to get a solid bloodline, it's hit and miss right now,
The only thing I’ve noticed that works if of you add a manager to the opponents side then add all the managers to to Roman and it works but uses Roman’s tron instead of bloodline and USOs don’t bring titles but this was before I used this tutorial
Let’s say your Roman coming out with (Paul, Jimmy, & Jey) have them on the left side also for the opponent add a manager with them and it should work if not add another manger making The Bloodline (4) and whoever your using or going against have (3) in total. It works though it’s just a method to the madness

My biggest issue that I cant really find anything on is that while simming some matches the participants/match type completely change. A 1v1 rivalry match turn into a 1v2 with the two new people being not in the rivalry to begin with. Easily the most annoying bug I am experiencing.
That's probably because it's a rivalry action where your rival leaves you to compete against those two opponents. If you actually play it out, you can see the cutscences as to why it happened that way.
I did some experimenting and it turns out you can transfer each individual superstar that you may have edited during your previous universe mode. Change their attributes by one in your previous Universe modes Superstar settings then save it to your new universe. It will not transfer over allies or managers just the attributes and entrances that you may have changed
Yup, but I don’t think you need to up an attribute. I just went into moveset, hit start and selected the new universe save and boom, characters move sets and everything updated. I was dreading having to do all my move sets over
Does* transfer managers but not allies. So delete the manager then save to transfer edited entrances and attributes to new universe

Stumbled upon this video when I noticed the fuckery in 2k23 Universe mode and took some liberties while following your guide. Just my 2 cents:
Idk if a patched changed something since this video, but all you really have to do is remove and re-add all the shows for that year (except PPV).
Also it's highly recommended if you have a tag team, to put each member as an ally to prevent forced booking against each other. i.e. a 3rd group member + solo wrestler vs the original 2 tag team.
I've only tested a few months so far, but tag teams and managers in general seem pretty consistent compared to before.
Its embarrassing that 14 patched in we still have to do this
My issues on Universe is when I have a tag team rivalry (between for example The Usos and Alpha Academy), if I pick a rivalry action that needs a 3rd team, Universe with randomly throw two roster members together rather than another tag team.
Another issue is my rivalries don’t end. Most of the time I have to just delete the rivalry so I don’t really get any satisfying conclusions or past rivalry history. Any pointers on these?
Dude thank you... It's fucking ridiculous that people like you and me not only have to fix the game but literally do 2Ks job for them so we as a community do not need to suffer. Thanks alot my dude. Your work did not go unnoticed. Also I wish people didn't lock their CAWs or if anyone knows away around it because I easily have some of the best caws in the game but cannot upload and share them. ( I know their the best because I took the best available CAWs and polished them up to save time. Still waiting for a good FTR and some NJPW caws but I have a solid AEW roster the community would love. My Daniel Garcia, Jericho, Sami, Cesaro, Punk, Cassidy and a few others look better than the 2k creations lol. They look life life especially Garcia lol ( idk why he came out so good tbh ) If I was using a PC and not PS5vI could mod and do even more but don't have it for pc atm.

I just came across this video and I tried it on 2k22 and I seen cutscenes that I never seen before I had a rivalry where I seen the opponent become a face to kick off a rivalry against a heel and now I’m highly interested to see where it goes great video def earned a sub shame on 2k for having us do all that to get it to work properly

Also the fact that you understand that them adding a manager slot to the main game but didn't do it in Universe mode so it messes with the coding and the game recognizing the manager but 2K devs can't or should I say didn't cared enough to change is quite sad. Thank you though!

This fix is great however, it seems that when you create the make shift show on Wednesday, once you delete that Raw and NXT in the first week it pops the calendar to start on that Wednesday of the first week. Then when you do all the deleting of the allies/enemies/managers, fix the tags, then pop back into the calendar to add the shows back, it still has it starting out at that Wednesday and then when you delete the make shift show it moves the start date to that newly added Friday Smackdown. I re-did this fix and it did it again so I guess that's how it is. Which that actually makes you not be able to create rivalries until the 2nd month because SHORT rivalries are 4 weeks and end at the PLE at the end of that month. So with this fix now making you start Raw and NXT in week 2 it makes it that if you create rivalries for them they start on week 2 not week 1 which would cause them to go past the PLE at the end of May.
Use that universe as a template and copy it over to another slot which will start on a fresh week and you won’t have this problem. That’s at least what I did.
This actually is the only 2k where it hasn’t crashed nor had slow loading screens…. WWE games do take a lot to run so I don’t know if your systems….

Heres a few tips.
*Be careful using highlight reel titantron videos for created wrestlers tag teams. It may corrupt your universe save file. And you wont be able to continue or reload that universe .
*The Charm city victory motion is bugged and will crash your game.
*Converting a highlight reel clip to video in the video editor will also crash your game.
Don't forget that since you deleted and recreated all the shows, you'll have to go back through every wrestler and redraft them. It's a lot of wrestlers but should be worth it to put them in (or kick them out of) the shows you want. I used wikipedia's "2023 WWE draft" chart.
Followed all these steps and then had a match with Damage Control vs Bayley in a tag match. Sadly I think the game is the game no matter what you do but barring that it seems okay.
quitting to main menu and loading back in will fix them most of the time

The biggest thing left that still bothers me is that the new rivalry system completely removes entrances and keeps changing saved tag matches to singles. I wish there was a way around that. I may just start removing rivalry actions completely.

I'm lost a bit. I as well am doing this on slot 3. So am I deleting my original one that quit working 😥? And then fixing everything by manually adjusting things? Then when you cope slot 3 where's the stopping point to where all u need to do is copy if it happens again? I'm soo upset I've had so much going on 😢
all is well, after you have your universe file completely set up, don't play it instead go to load the click your file, hit copy the put it in a new slot, after that play the slot you just made and if anything happens to it then you will have your original one you didnt play to use there, so you can copy it again if you want
Too bad that 2k doesn't take the time to fix the problems with Universe and force the players to do all the work for them. They should pay the consumer for fixing their problems.

My biggest add-on is do not delete raw, and SmackDown swap them out for your desire show..
I’ve noticed if you keep wrestlemania and Other paper views, the same but change their skin - you get a lot of different results. Some cut scenes are specific to wrestlemania and you lose them without keeping the original data and just swapping the arena and ring

If this works…. I spend hours testing ish too and I been trying to figure out why in tag and multi man tag matches team 1 gets booed and team 2 gets cheered no matter what they’re set to. I thought it was because of adding a ppv on Sunday but it happened again. I say again cus by default, at first every one gets cheered across the board during moves while during entrances and taunts they act accordingly… which I can deal with over the team 1 boo team 2 cheer nonsense so I settle. The managers I notice only work on the first player side. I feel like not being able to set actual managers to shows is whats messing them up too (since ur locked out of shows if ur not on there)because I had butch and ridge on nxt and sheamus on smackdown set to come out first with them on nxt but when the match up screen came he was on the other team and didn’t even show up. Then I added sheamus to nxt and it worked fine… problem happens with Roman and Paul but only if their in the 2 player slot which kills title matches or wanting them to come out second
As much as I appreciate this, man...the fact that you have to literally do all this to do something the devs are too lazy and money hungry to do is diheartening and sad. I have no patience for this.

Yes you can, I normally do a week to let everything flow and then play, you can clear any rivals you don't want, you can make your own from there, or let universes decide, those rivalries will conclude at your first PLE

Im having a HUGE problem with entrance lighting. If you remember bobby roodes entrance lights, sheamus' ligths from 2k19....they dont work in 2k23.

@@BeachBytes so far in default ones. i haven't used any created ones yet. when i say it doesnt work, what i mean is, the who stadium is still very lit and even on Bayou Cultist lighting its not very dark at all.
The problem I have is with paper views, Championship matches dont trigger like if there is supposed to be more then one title match on the card

It even helped with the issue I had with not being able to delete arenas that I put into universe mode even after deleting the entire universe mode. They used to have that feature in the older games, but it was pretty bad; just generic text on screen that was the same for every wrestler.
It’s wild how long Universe mode has been broken, probably since it showed up back in what WWE 12? At least then there wasn’t 10 games worth of additional code making it even more buggy on top of a mode that wasn’t every optimized.

Keeping them on week 3 or 4 ensures rivals always work, you can do other weeks but after a while it might get weird

Anyone else have issues with this causing it not to work right...Everytime I re-add Smackdown in slot 6 of championships ends up a MITB with a blank wrestler and a triangle with an exclamation over the face? I've deleted all custom superstars and it still happens and can't find a way to fix it

It’s more like an hour and a half to make sure everything’s right but whats an hour and a half compared to how many hours gamers put in games anyway. I take longer than that just editing and messing around. I get enjoyment out of adjusting and editing so Trust me it’s nothing and it’s well worth it.

Sadly, I followed all these steps and my rivalries are still broken. The ones I actively play still don’t end at the end of the month. PLE’s are on the 4th week of the month. Deleted allies, enemies, and managers. :(

I’ve noticed that after reloading into my save that certain superstars (this was actually all of the dlc superstars added post launch, free ones too) but their manager settings had reset
yeah the dlc and patches did that, you can just go any and edit them, its shouldnt mess anything up as long as the core save was already set up
