Nobody even knows who the hell Pat mcafees boys are in the first place. The average wrestling fan who plays 2k24 will have no idea who these fools even are
Maybe a hot take, as a sports gamer primarily im completely fried on half baked yearly releases that miss so many easy details and release broken for the first month. Its all about pushing my faction/ultimate team down our throats and we (especially in Canada) pay a fortune. I wish the sports community would push back on this. A gaming culture shift is desperately needed
Funny i never touch my faction because it seems lame. All i want is a merge of GM mode and universe mode with text promo’s like the old games.
@@mrsanatra1 yeah I getcha, for me it's really bad that it's been now 3 years of GM mode and we still don't have inter-brand competition matches that offer rewards for the winners like the SvR series. Still no special gimmick matches like MITB, RR, SS and Elim Chamber. I can't humour these yearly releases anymore not in WWE, NHL, NBA, Madden, MLB and FIFA/EAFC. End yearly releases
It’s VERY unbalanced, especially since I unlocked Amethyst Seamus after leveling up, and then suddenly every damn opponent card has to be Amethyst or Galaxy Opal or Pink Diamond! EVEN when those cards are not unlocked in the damn Token Market!
I didn’t and will not spend a dollar on my faction as a matter of fact I don’t collect baseball cards in video games it’s stupid
Every game has been like this for the past 10+ years, quality rarely exist anymore all about maximizing profit
The last dlc pack is the most one I need for my universe mode , but the fact that we have to wait that long is wild.
Thinking about that 400$ situation, I'm willing to bet that if The Rock persona card was in the shop for 400$ straight up, he wouldn't buy it.
It's insane. However, they get to extract the 400$ resorting to addictive mechanisms like fomo and collecting cards from packs.
The more I look at it, the worse it is.
The "pull" chances are crappier than most of these f2p mobile gacha games... and this is a full price game.
There's even no safety net, while most of these type of games have it (after x amount of rolls, you get to pick the card you want, the odds increase, etc.)
Now I have to say that my main frustration with MyFaction is the insane power creep we are seeing. When the game was launched, we had to fight ruby cards using blue or ruby cards.
Now we are fighting with blue or gold cards against opponents 3-4 tier higher (opal and diamond), the difficulty spiked out of control.
I haven't been able to get a single win with any of the blue card events tied to the CM Punk DLC.
Just today they released a triple threat event where you play with the 79 rating blue card CM Punk against two 94 diamond cards.
Triple threats are hell by nature, fighting against two opponents. One can stop you from pinning the other, and you can lose while being stunned because one opponent pinned the other.
To make it worse, the win condition also requires 90 mfp. And this with a technician, which has the worst/most difficult conditions to fulfil for mfp.
While the opponent 94 cards are both technicians with maxed out reversal stats, basically countering you half the time you throw a punch or a finisher/signature.
This while also dealing with the crappy targeting system which makes you kick air while trying to stop a pin.
After wasting 2 hours on this I stopped, but spending the little free time I have with the ever increasing difficulty is not worthwhile.
I wish 2k would show more love to wcw and even. More arenas and the wcw tv title.

I agree. They had Stunning Steve ‘91 in my faction last year and I’d have liked him in game. This year they should have him with TV title & be able to unlock in game
Wish we could just get a WCW/nWo remaster considering WWE holds all the rights and would prolly bring in a lot of money based on nostalgia
I knew exactly what my faction was as soon as it was introduced in 2K22. This was a way for 2K to have their own version of ultimate team in madden and my team in NBA 2K that have insane micro transactions. I would highly recommend people to not play this game mode and show 2K that this is not what we want this game to be.

About DLC packs...
STOP giving us celebrities that nobody wants, and have NOTHING to do with wrestling! You have two jam-packed, completely under utilized rosters in WCW and ECW. Let's get these guys in there where they should be.

Buying the wrestlenania edition should have atleast given us all the action figure modeled wrestlers. That could have been dlc packs. No matter how u look at it. Its been too much investing in their games when they will typically make it obsolete towards the next edition within the year.
ONLINE SERVERS STILL SUCK 75% of matches crash or dont start at all. RAPID PIN SYSTEM SUCKS & TIMES PINS ARE LAGGY/BUGGED YOU CANT USE CAWS ONLINE, THERES NO ONLINE TITLE MATCHES, PPL SPAM JAB AND LEG LARIAT 24/7 smh the gameplay is lovely but this shit gotta fix.

I njst wanna have fun matches inline and actually play for something while doing so. Ufc & fight night have title matches idk why wwe 2k doesnt

Triple H even said WWE is not about the matches, it's about the emotion that leads up to the matches. Thats what universe mode nesds.
Things from GM mode I would add to Universe Mode
1. Draft
2. Show set up weekly (arena, lights etc)
3. Social Media that you get at the end of each show with fan feedback
New Things I would add to Universe Mode
1. Modified Show intros (I don’t need the show graphics BUT I need the fireworks and city reveal, I want to know where I’m at)
2. General Managers that actually interact in the mode (sandbox this idea)
3. Actual calendar dates w/ the option to make a PLE show during the week based on the date
4. Tournaments with the option to spread it out weekly or monthly with the finals being at a PLE
5. Promos but with “rivalry action” cut scenes
6. Wrestlers tv shows promos (miztv, KO show, Waller Effect)
Yes I agree with you on everything that WWE Universe mode to keep player interest in continue to play the mode. Maybe add some thing from my rise too.

Also injuries should play a more impactful role you should be out of actions depending on the injury
And the person who caused the injury should lock in a rivalry or continue it after your return

And if that rival is not
Eliminated have a cut scene of them reacting to the return
Also add more cut scenes depending on the situation like if your inna a hell in a cell ladder match etc

I really want the WCW pack and then the Global pack. But waiting til September and then November is ridiculous
IKR? Dropping the WCW pack literally a handful of months before 2K25 arrives is a bewildering move.
Universe mode needs to be started from scratch so by 2K27 maybe 2K28 it’s what it should be. I know that’s years away but I feel like they need to do this
Would be better if they at least added Pat as a commentator. Still very lazy that 2k hasn't added multiple commentating teams for the different shows. We had this back in smackdown vs. raw 2006.
I wish 2k cared about the online cause it's not working like it should community creations and the matches crashing mid way or glitching before it loads up the match then you gotta quit the entire game and load it back up.
yeah i’m glad i’m not the only one going through this scrolling thru these comments…it’s honestly sad we have to try like 10 times just to load into a game, just to play a match halfway thru with someone & it give you “a problem has occurred, all opponents have been replaced with AI” & you just wasted 10 minutes playing a match for it just to bug out 💀 no matter the internet connection

I find MyFaction tedious and boring. I'm not willing to spend money on it after paying for the Wrestlemania edition.
Cards and card packs seem ridiculously expensive in either points or real money.
I also noticed I exported a character from showcase mode, and he was totally nurfed. Which is odd. Ended up remaking from scratch. Same stats and can somehow survive more damage.
Create mode is still bugged. I change a shirt or pants and my hair vanishes. It doesn't stay gone, but it's still annoying.
As for the getting booted completely out of the game to my Xbox Dashboard (Series X) when editing my character. It's been 3 years!! 3 years of this glitch.
Not even on the same console.
It's so frustrating.
Universe is repetitive and has no way to build a story. As you always say, there needs to be a real story creator WITH promos. Currently, I just keep extending the rivalry so the momentum is high enough for certain cutscenes. there needs to be some random occurrences that surprise you or more real useful tools to play booker that adds something different as you play and make different decisions in certain scenarios.
Even if it’s not voiced, I’ll settle with subtitles
So I just dipped my toe in My Faction and I don't know how this hasn't been discussed and there hasn't been an all out boycott on my faction...
The most outrageous thing is that they are INCLUDING randomized CREATED CHARACTERS in the card packs that you can get.... Do you fools not realize that this makes it EVEN HARDER to get the cards that you're wanting??? Now there's even more garbage cards in packs....
Look at all the cards in the packs and scroll to the bottom and you will see all those created characters that look like they were randomized....
Then there are these "Free Agent" cards and you can only use those characters a certain amount of times and that's it... You can't renew them, you can't add contracts to them so they can be used in more matches, etc...
Then let's talk about how you start off with like half health and you get gassed out really really fast and easy.... i get they want to stimulate wrestling, but this is still a video game, it's like no fun is allowed....
This is by far the worst it has ever been... Oh and now they have added FOMO to card packs as some are ending at a certain date and if you didn't get the card/character that you were wanting, then you will be SOL unless they bring the pack back again?
I can't belive there hasn't been a huge uproar with how they made My Faction this year and i haven't even discussed the cards that you can use outside of the mood, but are extremely hard or expensive too get....
I for one will not spend one cent in that mode... I'm also not going to grind endlessly just to get free points to use or for a certain card....
This is just.... Wow...
If you are or have spent money in My Faction then you are part of the problem and you deserve to get ripped off by 2K and to lose your money getting duplicates and garbage created characters....
Universe mode having frequent roster/faction/title updates is overdue or at least give us the option to do so

They do it with football games already. You can choose owner, coach, player, all in one mode. Each option you pick is basically different modes within that mode. And 2k makes those games. But they can’t do it for wwe games? Sounds like maybe the budget for wwe games could be lacking? I just can’t make it make sense 🤷♂️ to be honest I miss road to Wrestlemanias at this point
With 2k14, I miss the Undertaker tribute modes of Beat the Streak & defend the streak... that would be dope if 2k brought back a mode of a Boss Battle OR Boss B a t t l e s (plural).
In this Boss Battles mode, what if it contained invisible super cena, a beast incarnate brock, goldberg in WCW, Undertaker at WM, Roman the One, The Bionic Redneck, & a Final Boss Rock to defeat with all of them having high damage, high durability, and some cheapness... & a super hulk hogan that puts you in hulk-comeback on kickouts. e t c.
I would love if they gave us a break from Showcase mode to introduce a Boss Battles mode of some sort. Where it's several great wwe superstars that are bosses like the Defeat the Streak Undertaker... here are some of my ideas for the bosses:
All of the bosses would have ×2 durability and ×2 dmg output for starters. And the bosses would have perks:
Vs Invisible Super Cena: invisible, faster movement all around & boosted meter gain.
Vs NXT Asuka: Stronger strikes & Submissions ontop of her technical ability.
Vs WCW Goldberg: Infinite Finishers & increased finisher dmg.
Vs Beast Incarnate Brock: Boosted Grapple dmg + Paul Heyman.
Vs Bionic Redneck SCSA: moves such as mud hole stomps, Bionic elbow, and mounted punches can't be reversed.
... And other super bosses like Undertaker, Wild Hulkamania, Final Boss Rock & Roman... Firefly Fiend in the funhouse.
The difficulty to defeat these guys would be beyond legendary due to their ability perks and beating these bosses could be fun & challenging.
wish they could put into the game where money in the bank can be cash in anytime not just universe mode can defend in exhibiton
Putting Universe in my gm wouldnt fix anything because there aren't the same im not a fan of my GM but i have tons of fun with universe
i create a show in universe set up everything then play it i don't want to worry about worrying about ratings signing characters etc i want who i want in
my universe with no restrictions, universe just needs new cutscenes more types of rivalrys like 3 way factions etc, im not even a fan of the promo thing i tried i in the past and was not a fan of it.
since vince really isn’t in control they should add more ECW and WCW stuff that would be awesome
As a person who works through the week, and has a kid who's in sports. I don't have time to "grind it out" to get the persona cards... Like you've said.. I'd prefer to just be able to buy the cards outright.

If u buy the deluxe version u get all the unlockables which makes in game currency useless
My rise should do the same , use in game currency for stat upgrades

There’s a glitch going on in universe mode where you can’t save entrances so I can’t change anything 😅
The problem with myrise is the lack of actual cutscenes. The objectives are also very repetitive and kinda stupid at times, rendering it boring very quickly

Why should we have to pay for persona cards? Most of us spent $120+ on the game for the 40 years WM. Shouldn’t persona cards be free at this point???
in universe mode it feels like your just playing exhibition matches and then that's it. after a match we need something that's makes us want to progress that rivalry. Imagination is not enough. Maybe a cut scene of the commentary team talking about what just happened etc. And then seamlessly into the next intro with no fade to black. Backstage cut scenes etc and promos. The ability to start a show from scratch where you pick your match card like GM. Years ago there used to be a video package in the game where you could break down what happened over the past 4 weeks. Essentially bring back a mega story mode and get rid of universe mode. Give us the full freedom to create raw smackdown from scratch and do what we want
The problem I'm starting to notice from 2K is they are starting to get complacent and now they don't really care so much to make fixes a priority. In 22 and 23 it seemed like it was a better priority, but it's like the Madden situation where you don't have competition to keep you at your best. So you just stay stagnant because there's no other simulation wrestling game close to what 2K provides

I think the issue with Universe mode is its lack of creative spark, we need more dynamic cutscenes like back in the Smackdown Vs Raw games; I want to be able to create backstage segments with interviews and promos in ring and out of ring. For me if 2k introduced promos it would elevate Universe mode loads but that's coming from someone who plays every raw, NXT and smackdown match even if they have no stakes or rivalry so I think we probably want different things out of Universe mode. But that's my take on it. And then I did not like the idea of create a ppv, I love the build up and then the pay off so I want those cutscenes of someone attacking someone else and stealing their title or something like that. You can't do that in exhibition so that would really damage it for me.

The problem with combining GM and Universe mode is, it could create too much setting up and less playing. 2k needs to bring back season mode. I personally am over being a booker and making my own shows. I need surprise when I'm playing a game period. I miss the surprise cutscenes you'd get in the old games like shut your mouth to svr 2007

July for me I will be playing the new college football game so I won’t be touching this game for a while

I think the problem is they are becoming tone deaf.
My Faction sucks & they invest their time on that. When fans want 2K to fix Universe mode & ignore the mode. It's always wait until next year. No I paid nearly $200 for the game to present a mere upgrade. If it's time that's the problem. I have no problem having to wait an extra year even. If it means they work on the game better. Little things like not incorporating a way to have custom theme songs with spotify accounts. When the technology is there & I'm sure WWE would have no issue footing the bill for a Spotify license. If using themes online is an issue. I am cool with it being an offline mode thing only.
WhatsTheStatus has added some awesome Triple H versions 01, 02 from around the post Attitude Era. Overall I’m enjoying this game and your content.

I live in this fantasy land while playing I LOVE to mimic on what goes on in the REAL WWE world so getting Jade Cargill, Nia Jax, Kairi Sane, and Carlito will complete my Universe. How EVER, They NEED TO UPDATE "Santos Escobars" ENTRANCE MUSIC and Persona... You click on his Character and he has a Huge pic where hes rocking a LWO Shirt which He is CLEARLY NOT and had been that way BEFORE 2K24 was released so i don't understand why his stuff wasn't changed or Updated. They have Legado Del Fantasma TAG TEAM entrance BUT didn't include his music... Easy fix JUST add his music from WWE2K23😒

In my opinion for my faction there’s enough to grind for if your not spending money but then if your not spending money you can’t get the persona cards which was a bummer for me I missed out on Roman and rock it was really upsetting so I want it to come back but easier to obtain same as Seth I missed out on most of the odissys from live events

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I've never played my faction. Are you able to use the verions of wrestlers you get from cards in other modesm Like would i be able to use the shield version of seth in myuniverse?
Think there are only like 5 personas you cant get from MyFaction, with Seth having one of those personas
Pat McCaffe and the boys are gonna be enhancement talent for my Monday night show on Universe mode. My only gripe other then MyFaction is not being able to create 120 superstars as someone who plays it constantly
Give me more arenas that aren't Wrestlemania themed. I know 2k24 is themed around Wrestlemania, but I could do with more variety for that game in general
I’d take MyGM and universe mode. Merge it. Have a “Classic GM Mode” and a “Sandbox GM Mode”
Wwe 2k25 showcase needs to be the undertakers Wrestlemania streak.
My two biggest complaints are def my faction and the dlc. I don’t really play online since I spend so much time creating so I haven’t experienced those issues. But it’s not okay for us to pay for the most expensive version of this game under the guise of unlocking every superstar just for us to still have locked slots in the roster due to the persona cards rarities.
Do you know if there is any way to use the new weapons in GM mode? I'm really sad that I can't use the Barbed Wire bat on my ECW brand :((
I'm going to be curious how Wrestlemania moving to the middle of April next year is going to impact the release date of WWE 2K25. This year's game was released on March 8th, a month before this year's Wrestlemania which took place on April 6th and 7th. If Wrestlemania doesn't happen until April 19th & 20th, will the release date change to middle of March? Usually they announce news for it at the Royal Rumble. Is the Royal Rumble going to move to February perhaps? There's a lot of questions that need to be addressed about next year's game.

Anytime I’m playing my faction on wwe 2k it keeps kicking me out for some reason I’m not sure if it is doing the same thing for anyone
Universe mode is the main selling point of WWE Games nowadays. A complete sandbox where you can be Triple H or Tony Khan, and customize your shows, choose champions, assign people to your respective rosters, set up rivalries/programs, and book your matches week to week with cutscenes if you want. Showcase mode and MYRISE are a one and done play through, MYGM is ok, but your roster is typically large, and people get injured a decent amount of the time, and MYFACTION is just a card simulator. Universe mode, to me, is very important to these games, and taking it out would definitely hurt future WWE 2K sales.
Thoughts on a Tag Team Showcase? Hardyz? Dudleyz? Edge & Christian?
Or just 20 of the best random Tag Team matches of all time..

I’m intrigued by the second pack. I’ll take it over the McAfee pack because at least this one has more wrestlers than none at all.
I waited to hear what that last DLC pack was before pre-ordering then found out it was Pat and his goons and ordered the Standard version strictly out of spite F that pack lol. Just as a much a do about nothing but I did notice in the created parts there is an MMA style glove that is still locked and says "advance further in Showcase to unlock" so I assume it is his. No idea if it means they will patch in the beast or not

Are we going to get free superstars like last year?
My biggest problem with 2K currently is that it feels like for every cool new thing they add, there are about 4 or 5 other things you should be able to do but can't and then about another 4 or 5 things that just take away from the fun of it. MyFaction, MyRise, Universe & Showcase are all stale & rubbish. Persona cards are just an excuse to make MyFaction more grindy which is designed to make buying packs with real money more appealing. Community Creations is still broken and I can't download anything from there. A lot of the time, it really feels like MyGM is the only mode worth playing, and then Exhibition for if I want to play a Gauntlet or War Games match or something.

My Faction is broken it has potential but not if everything has a pay wall to get what we want to play outside the mode (ala) Persona Cards
How is it the world railed against Loot crates in Star Wars Battlefront 2, but there seems not to be the same level of unacceptability with MyFaction packs? It’s a similar kind of system

Assemble in my opinion universe mode from wwe 12 you should look at ….the unpredictable nature of the mode like for instance if you in a rivalry and you ended up getting injured mid rivalry it should play out like how it does irl….depending on the injury
6 months to a year would lowkey make it more realistic also you should be able to return and attack the person thus continue it …or they should add triple threat or handicap rivalry’s ….it can add to the mode…also have more cut scenes and make the cutscenes have to adapt depending on the situation say for instance im in a ladder match with someone that’s not my rival…have them come out and cost me the match or fail to cost me the match they literally can do so much with it..and there’s many more things they can do …I just think 2k just needs to really focus on that mode because it can literally keep players playing

and also something with a royal rumble you should be able to get turned on by a tag parter or do the Turning ….heel changes like with injury thing can also play a big part of making it unpredictable like throw in a heel turn like if the person you where injured by turned face while you were out…you should be able to become the heel thus making it more fun….. hell in a cell have someone sneak in and cost you the match …..have failed money in the banks cut scenes but not losing the briefcase just a failed cash in

Any way you could relay a message to them… if they want to make the most money possible is to expand on universe mode and to extend the creation limit that’s literally the only thing that keeps the game going. They can sell moves pack as part of the dlc since the caws are so good and it’s going to be a constant battle between the modders and them. They can add the aew move sets of some of their wrestlers…shoot they already have some in the game to a degree since fight forever is dead and this is the only wrestling game I’m pretty sure they can add moves like the hidden blade and rename them.. pretty good way of getting more people to play the game.. the biggest problem is they are trying to sell wrestling 2k like other sport franchises and our fan base is not the same! We always enjoy playing locally with our friends or just messing with the option of being control of the wwe universe or the superstars you choose to immolate. Why add a creation suit if there’s a limit and it’s the same limit on both generations of console that makes no sense shouldn’t the more power console do more there is legit no difference in gameplay between generations what do us ps5 get 🤦🏽♂️… I set up a universe mode with a lot of good created CAWS just to find out logos overlap each other and superstars look a complete mess this never happen in any other version of the game why now shouldn’t you be progressing forward as a company I really don’t understand

Gotta take Lyra valkeria out that very late pack and patch her in. She’s been NXT champion for 6 months have been called up and even came up runner up in the Queen of the ring all while this game has been released. Not getting her until November is insane at this point.
