Do you have a lot of free exp? When you have the x2 rp bonus. Free exp the line and reset it again, do not buy any of the ships just unclock them and reset again, I just did that with Russian BB so i got*5 rp. it is expensive for me it did cost around 2,7 mil free exp but instead of that 10200 RP*2 so you get 20k rp you get from regrinding a line im getting x5 times that so when i got kremil back i have 51000 RP after first game with kremlin i will get 31k RP just for playing it one time. Rebuying a line cost around 80 miljion credits do that 4 times to get 51000 RP you have to spend 80mil * 4 so 320 mil credits so now i will only have to rebuy that line 1 time to get all the RP för at cost of around 80 mil so noyt only do you have saved 240 mil credits for the same RP and ofcourse griding 5 different ship lines will take a lot longer time then just playing one line
the 25% extra AA, is 25% of 35% priority sector. So you get 43.73 PS..... so not great but you do get an extra flac burst Also the seconds reload time is 2.4 with full build
He PQ I think you forgot to mention that the better rudder shift time and gun angles help the ship survive a lot. I have GK and I turns like a brick when I go hard left or right. Also I think twice a lot of the time if I want to use my back guns when I'm pushing into something/somewhat. Will definitely take the ship when I reach Yamato, play a Shima game and maybe get back again to Lexington.
4:12 I had a random match where my flank consisted of my DD spotting with a CA and 2 BB behind me. A Kiev that was open water gunboating outside of my gun range and where I was leary to close and shoot because things from the next cap over were shooting at my relatively nearby teammates. None of the 3 bothered to shoot at the Kiev which was relatively stationary (I'm assuming ready to accelerate when fired at). I left after capturing the zone since the Kiev was lighting himself up. The Kiev went on to gun kill the CA and torpedo kill a BB that parked by an island. Yes. Always remember to pat the smolbotes on the head.
Is it worth running the same full AA/secondary build on something like Georgia in this day and age or is it better to have a more balanced build with skills like AR and fast turrets and not taking the AA upgrades?

Oh god. Your first game is literally my ranked experience in a nutshell. But without winning :( This hurts so much to see those 15 iq moves from shima / enemy dd ..... that enemy dd could eaaaaaaaasily have won by going straight away and afk :D :D :D
So sad what they've done to Montana though. The new Dutch cruisers are going to be able to bounce Monty's shells since they have a large 30 mm ice breaker, meaning only 457 mm (Ohio, Kremlin, etc.) or larger can overmatch them. 406 mm guns are becoming almost useless.
If you already enjoy Daring's playstyle, Vampire might be a bit underwhelming in comparison, mainly because of the smokes. With Daring, you can smoke up whenever you need to, but Vampire has to play around its smoke to make the most out of it. It's basically a side-grade to Daring with a different playstyle, and after suffering to get the Ohio, Idk if going through that pain again is worth it for the Vampire.
I had a ton of fun in my Kremlin in ranked. Mainly I think because no one knows how to deal with a pushing BB anymore and the armor is so strong you can get stuck in with a measure of security. I’m not the greatest player. 50% WR. But in ranked in the Kremlin..l I easily win %75 amd had 2-4 kills every game and came one shot from a kraken but we timed out as it was in the air. My Massa was the same. Secondary build with IFHE. Yes I know it’s not the same as it use to be but tons of kills... lots of dead DD’s caught off guard.
a marceau has special french damage saturation, so after it reaches around half health you want to use ap because overpens will do more damage than just straight up he
HE has a greater chance to just damage a module and not do any hull damage. AP even with overpens always does hull damage. So with ohio's 8 guns doing 15750 you'll get 1575 on overpens and if you land a lot of shells the total damage possible can be quite crazy on a dd.
I'm not sure about this ship, I just wanted to take a look because I face these things in clan battles alot. But otherwise it seems really strong at range but If I can get in mid to close range with my preussian I can obliterate it. I got a faster reload and better armor. I just an not sure if I should invest in the American version of the preussian.
The problem is Preussen is less accurate than Ohio, and has a massive superstructure that arms any well-placed shell. Ohio's secondaries also have a higher fire chance, so even though they don't pen anything thicker than a superstructure, their ability to start fires more than compensates for that weakness. Having basically an exposed citadel is a bit of a problem in drivebys though.
@@aristosachaion_ idk I faught alot of Ohio's in clan battles and ranked in preussian and beat em easy. The preussian may not be as accurate but when 18in shells come at you every 16 seconds it tends to hurt. I think they are both great ships and I cannot truly judge Ohio till I get it. Like how there is a small cheek that you can citadel it in and preussian's secondaries may not be all that effective at starting fires but they punch the crap out of battleships and cruisers. At range Ohio definitely has the advantage but up close Preussian is supreme.
This is why, no matter what ships are spotted, i focus the very shit out of a Ohio if I see one in ranked. It is for ranked what gneisenau used to be in tier 5 mm. A skirmisher with gigantic horns!

I got many good informations from you. But you've given some misinformations like it's one of the hardest to get citadel from kremlin. I think it's GK. I got citadel from kremlin many many times but from GK its so hard get. Maybe it's for the slop in freebroad of the GK. I think you would never get 3 citadel if there was a GK there in stead of kremlin.

Should have switched to HE when it was just the Marceau. You could have killed him with that last salvo if every shot you took against him up to that point was with HE instead of AP
I have been playing the Thunderer and I lost count of how many Ohio's I burned to the ground! Likewise I have yet to view them as a threat to me, so I seriously fail to see how it is the best BB for ranked?
in ranked it doesn't really matter if you can burn down enemy battleships but losing all cap, and Ohio is the best BB to push and help cap. Also, with a proper build, an Ohio could easily withstand Thunderer HE (30s DCP, fast repair party)
Ok so I must be weird because I get Confederates quite often in ranked. That and high caliber as well. I've gotten more of those in ranked than I have ever in randoms.
Winrate matters in ranked, everything else is really folly. Ive seen wayyy too many BB players with 120k avg dmg and absolutely terrible winrates because they only ever shoot HE, Only ever shoot battleships and never shoot destroyers because shooting destroyers lowers average dmg(even if it wins games). I started running matchmaking monitor just to educate myself a bit, I definitely noticed a pattern with terrible BB players, they almost always have higher avg dmg, but they also never position in a way that actually influences the game because they never force the enemy to react to their presence. Presence and the psychological effect of good BB position might not help AVG dmg, but it wins games, as does making the enemy team expend 2-2.5 million potential damage just trying to dislodge you. Im not saying you don't, but the 2 awards mentioned are damage based

i got called hacks and got reported over 30 times this month in ranked for shooting DDs. as a DD main i know what a DD will do hence i shoot where i think DDs are and slap them and that has caused a lot of DD players to report me for hacking or aimbot since they dont expect a BB to slap a DD from 14-20km away
Thats the main reason for BBs having high winrate. or not . Those who pop off shots at DDs whenever they can, regardless of range, tend to win more. Im happy to take potshots at a DD from even 30km away if its stationary , I also often land shots in dds beyond 24km. Bad BBs often don't seem to understand even 1200 dmg to a DD can make the difference between your friendly DD winning or dying .. which in turn leads to spotting and torping, or not spotting ... because they died... ultimately being perma spotted vs the enemy DD being dead has a huge impact. I see wayyyy to many DDs also think hunting DDs isn't their job. IMHO if you play a DD... spotting and countering the enemy DD is always your primary role, doing so in a way that gets him killed and lets you live is everything. But as a DD I also know whT its like to have 5 teammates keep shooting a BB in the back while your 6 vs 1 turns into 3 enemy ships shooting you, while your team ignores the DD you spotted. I've even gone so far as to drop a flank if I see my teamon that flank damage farming BBs while I risk my life spotting the enemy DD.. When I suspect this is going to happen ill even let them know in chat, if you want CAPS and Spotting, shoot the DD when its spotted.. then promptly left them high and dry if they dont. Sometimes in random the only lesson is the tough one, unfortunately *never* rely on teammates has to be the defacto position to take. Always assume they'll be assholes and selfish and not help, then you tend to put yourself in better positions than if you assume everyone is like you and more interested in winning the game tham farming dmg. .Its unfortunate there are so many who don't seem to care, but thats WOWS.
Dont reset any lines yet. Wait for the 2x bonus and when you do reset the IJN gunboat line. It's easier to regrind that like than others coz it costs less xp.
You shouldn't have issues ranking out in Bronze if you're half decent in BBs 70-75% Win rate typically means ranking out fairly quickly. I went through Silver with ~68% Win rate in Legendary mod Yamato. Musashi or Lenin are very good choices in Bronze, so is Georgia if you use its mobility and dont sit on the back line hiding.. Musashi is especially great at dealing with Jean Barts as is Georgia. Musashi (&Yama) of course is Very strong as long as you keep ~25 degree angle when you need to tank and don't expose those cheeks. You also need to be close enough to exert map presence that your shot at and to force ships to either angle to you or risk taking broadsides, either works. Winning in Ranked BBs usually involves Tanking and not being too passive, regardless of the ship played, the more you force enemies to react and/or hide from fear of your guns, the more you'll win.
That thunderer player just pistol me off watching him, and the shima,,, just sitting there while u single handed take out90% of the enemy team.. so sad,
I've done the regrind but my expectation for this ship were too high it seems. Sometimes I feel Monty more effective. I struggle to make it work. I've even had better games with Iowa than this one. Shells are painfully slow, I hit nothing at range, every cruised just dodges them and when I close the range, its instantaneous focus and fire spaming. Secondaries do almost nothing since nerf and shells also are bouncing or shattering a lot. The only times where it works is against broadside things which in ranked don't happen a lot. I feel the Musashi way more effective with its overmatching capability and since it's just a T9 Yamato, you can count it as a one more free T10 ship in the team.

The salt has changed my perspective over all these years. There is no valid reason to sit still around a corner with 100 hp in a tier X in a RANK game. Sorry, no.

I regret picking Slava over Ohio... I listened to my clan mates lol...Now the grind is real for Ohio.

I have been playing the Thunderer and I lost count of how many Ohio's I burned to the ground! Likewise I have yet to view them as a threat to me, so I seriously fail to see how it is the best BB for ranked?
in ranked it doesn't really matter if you can burn down enemy battleships but losing all cap, and Ohio is the best BB to push and help cap. Also, with a proper build, an Ohio could easily withstand Thunderer HE (30s DCP, fast repair party)

Ok so I must be weird because I get Confederates quite often in ranked. That and high caliber as well. I've gotten more of those in ranked than I have ever in randoms.
Winrate matters in ranked, everything else is really folly. Ive seen wayyy too many BB players with 120k avg dmg and absolutely terrible winrates because they only ever shoot HE, Only ever shoot battleships and never shoot destroyers because shooting destroyers lowers average dmg(even if it wins games).
I started running matchmaking monitor just to educate myself a bit, I definitely noticed a pattern with terrible BB players, they almost always have higher avg dmg, but they also never position in a way that actually influences the game because they never force the enemy to react to their presence.
Presence and the psychological effect of good BB position might not help AVG dmg, but it wins games, as does making the enemy team expend 2-2.5 million potential damage just trying to dislodge you.
Im not saying you don't, but the 2 awards mentioned are damage based
@@martinpalmer6203 yeah I get that. I try to shoot anything I can, though I do focus DDs. Now I'm not the greatest player, I'll never claim that, but I try to play my best each time! 😅

i got called hacks and got reported over 30 times this month in ranked for shooting DDs. as a DD main i know what a DD will do hence i shoot where i think DDs are and slap them and that has caused a lot of DD players to report me for hacking or aimbot since they dont expect a BB to slap a DD from 14-20km away

Those who pop off shots at DDs whenever they can, regardless of range, tend to win more.
Im happy to take potshots at a DD from even 30km away if its stationary , I also often land shots in dds beyond 24km.
Bad BBs often don't seem to understand even 1200 dmg to a DD can make the difference between your friendly DD winning or dying .. which in turn leads to spotting and torping, or not spotting ... because they died... ultimately being perma spotted vs the enemy DD being dead has a huge impact.
I see wayyyy to many DDs also think hunting DDs isn't their job. IMHO if you play a DD... spotting and countering the enemy DD is always your primary role, doing so in a way that gets him killed and lets you live is everything.
But as a DD I also know whT its like to have 5 teammates keep shooting a BB in the back while your 6 vs 1 turns into 3 enemy ships shooting you, while your team ignores the DD you spotted.
I've even gone so far as to drop a flank if I see my teamon that flank damage farming BBs while I risk my life spotting the enemy DD..
When I suspect this is going to happen ill even let them know in chat, if you want CAPS and Spotting, shoot the DD when its spotted.. then promptly left them high and dry if they dont.
Sometimes in random the only lesson is the tough one, unfortunately *never* rely on teammates has to be the defacto position to take. Always assume they'll be assholes and selfish and not help, then you tend to put yourself in better positions than if you assume everyone is like you and more interested in winning the game tham farming dmg.

Dont reset any lines yet. Wait for the 2x bonus and when you do reset the IJN gunboat line. It's easier to regrind that like than others coz it costs less xp.

I would love to play my ohio in ranked, but i don't like the stress and hassle to even rank out at bronze. I just collect my steel and call it a day.
You shouldn't have issues ranking out in Bronze if you're half decent in BBs 70-75% Win rate typically means ranking out fairly quickly. I went through Silver with ~68% Win rate in Legendary mod Yamato.
Musashi or Lenin are very good choices in Bronze, so is Georgia if you use its mobility and dont sit on the back line hiding.. Musashi is especially great at dealing with Jean Barts as is Georgia.
Musashi (&Yama) of course is Very strong as long as you keep ~25 degree angle when you need to tank and don't expose those cheeks. You also need to be close enough to exert map presence that your shot at and to force ships to either angle to you or risk taking broadsides, either works.
Winning in Ranked BBs usually involves Tanking and not being too passive, regardless of the ship played, the more you force enemies to react and/or hide from fear of your guns, the more you'll win.

I've done the regrind but my expectation for this ship were too high it seems. Sometimes I feel Monty more effective. I struggle to make it work. I've even had better games with Iowa than this one. Shells are painfully slow, I hit nothing at range, every cruised just dodges them and when I close the range, its instantaneous focus and fire spaming. Secondaries do almost nothing since nerf and shells also are bouncing or shattering a lot. The only times where it works is against broadside things which in ranked don't happen a lot. I feel the Musashi way more effective with its overmatching capability and since it's just a T9 Yamato, you can count it as a one more free T10 ship in the team.
