The brode card should just shuffle 10 Roaring Laughter into each player's deck and cast them on draw.

@@user-xp8rs4xr7s Think you missed the part that says "Combo: Don't". The card wouldn't do any dmg with malygos if it wasn't the first card you played on the turn.
I see how you (or the creator of the card) could've gotten that wrong but yeah, Don't means Don't, No matter how much the dmg is :)

Ok, so here's an idea that fits right in with the frie(o)ndship theme: give your board +1/+1 (or just +1/2 hp if that's OP) if you already control a wisp and a treant.
Or for a different take: it summons a wisp and a treant, then for every wisp+treant pair you control, draw a card. Thus the default case is same as normal (a tad weak), but if you already control both wisps and treants, you can draw multiple cards as a nice payoff to a wisp+treant themed token deck.
I was thinking either Friendchip or Woodship, but yeah, yours is better.

The card is perfect. People just don't play DnD sufficiently to understand it.

Animated armour is a class card.
It only really shuts down burn and I think was printed at a time when burn was considered too strong.

@@notfuat Not now. But when it was released it was significantly stronger than today. Kind of like first Dr. Boom (monster card) being considered tier 0 legendary before, while now it is more like a bad epic card compared to our current Boom.
The mute is WAAAY to overpowered with rogue. You can return it to your hand and reduce its cost by 2. Carddraw like crazy. And there are other return to hand options too.

Seems like Druid to me. Disregarding cop flavor, it almost is a choose 1 effect, both damage and heal are druid, and transformation (like the druids turning to beasts) is also druid flavor.

Ah, so Sina is really similar to Prince Keleseth. If it's bad, then it's bad. If it's good, then it's really bad for the game since it creates a lot of decks that feel the same and it's way too strong.
Eh, like a cross between Keleseth and Baku/Genn. Keleseth had a lot of variance (as in, sometimes you high roll), meanwhile B/G made games feel similar due to making one repetitive mechanic the center strategy of 7-ish decks, whilst making them very consistent.
I think Sina could work if it was just if your deck has no spells, although it might be better to make it class specific at that point not sure for which one it would be fine in

I think it's a weak card for standard right now for sure. But for wild the number of minions that can give you GOOD spells doesn't increase that much but maybe just enough to where it's viable? Not sure though would have to really look at all the wild neutrals

Edit: I see a lot of ppl saying Xeligjt's version too strong but I wonder whether they realize this is slightly worse version of pounce.
Giving how weak pounce is but how rogue can better utilize 0 means cards, I think his addition is fairly balanced.

Xelights Card text is not functional because it doesn't specify a target. Therefore this spell gains 2 attack, therefore this spell basically does nothing either way.
Brode of the wood could just effect you and be a great single player treasure similar to wish!
Suprise attack to deal 1 dmg. Strictly worse than moonfire but I could see some rogue decks, primeraly of the miracle variant, using a moonfire so it could work.
It can activate combo cards too easily I think

Sensei Wu's stats and effects are a huge reference to Silent Arbiter from Magic the Gathering - which is also a 1/5 with the exact same effect.

Consider this though: The Mute has an awful deathrattle, which you can counteract by *silencing* it
Sina would be fun in odd pally with witch's cauldron. Your strategy would be to hurl as many cheap minions at your opponent as you could then get a bunch of free shaman spells
Interesting, I posted a negative Combo Rogue card about a week ago, without having seen the "Surprise Attack!" card beforehand. I like the concept of negative combos for Rogue. But yeah, I agree that those should be bigger cards.
I know a mechanic like that in another card game. It's called daybreak and is boring as heck due to how restrictive Daybreak is when playing, and doesn't help that the game that thing rewards reactive gameplay, not regular development.
Honestly at this point im far more invested in the imagination of Jens when it comes to Outros than i am in the actual cards portrayed in these videos

This is my first peek into hearthstone and this channel, but I got to say I like what I see. The idea of the community brewing cards at least for discussion sake is cool. the game sounds interesting and the way you talk about archetypes and how it affects them makes me think there is a diverse meta-game.
Your insight adressing Sina Of Wit's End was very interessting. Hope such a card never gets printed.

12:10 how about this. 8 Mana 5/3 same effect. Then add deathrattle the effect lasts until the end of the turn. Kinda more like a stall card that can be removed by other means than destruction.
Trump overlooked something huge. You can play Sina of Wit's End with Whizbang the Wonderful. Since both have "Start of Game" effects, they both go off if you make an all neutral deck containing both of these cards. Then, your Whizbang deck will have all spells cost 0.
You can't because whizzbang makes your deck have a max of 1 card in it. You cant even add cards to the list in the deck builder.
Balance suggestion for Surprise Attack:
0 Mana: Casts when drawn: Deal 2 damage.

Sina of Wits End could Kinda work with some of the Gadgetzan cards, like the Tri-class card generators and the Kabal Potion lady, assuming that they're not interfering with the start of game Trigger

I think surprise attack "2 mana deal 4, combo don't" is usable at around a four star balance level, which isn't too bad. It puts it similar in power to a frostbolt, a little better damage, with the drawback of having to use it first.
There would have been riots if you did not include a sound byte of Brode's laughter at the end. Crisis averted, editor guy. Well played.

Sensei Wu Would the effect be more realistic if it limits to one minion of each mana cost per turn?
The intend of the card is probably anti zoo, this would still affect zoo the most without impacting other cards as much and not quite shut down even zoo.

I don't know if you really should be docking stars for cards being basic/simple effects and designs. Do you know how many building block type cards get made in HS and Magic especially to create a set? When you make a Magic set, you need many common building block cards to fill out a Limited environment.

What if Surprise Attack was 0 Mana do 1 damage, and had Twinspell with the same combo text. Would that make it too strong for Malygos rogue?
That would get a lower design rating since Rogues don't have Twinspells, but it would fix the card, I think.
Surprise attack: 3 mana 3/1 stealth deal 1 damage, combo: don't. It may suit being on a minion better than a spell, it'd be like a weaker si:7 agent, not rely on combo, but lose 2 health for it because rogues are normally quite squishy but have the trade-off of stealth for surprise.
It amuses me how many custom cards have Smite artworks.

Sensei Wu is fine. It stalls aggro and Zoo, but is easily dealt with. Not to mention the moment you destroy him, your other minions can attack right away. And on turn 4, 5 direct damage/removal is easy to do.

Brode of the wood would be amazing in priest. Play that then next turn double its health and make attack equal to health and u have a two turn kill. It has 15 hp so its very likely to survive that one turn after u play it

theoretically might break wild format once critical mass is hit, but at least that would be kind of interesting than the alternative.
also having a 1 cost 1/1 legendary that turns itself into a zero cost seems hilarious to me.
I am pretty sure that this card would be absolutely broken. For example you could play druid and fill the board with murlocs turn 4 with underbelly angler into brrrloc/ghost light/underbelly angler into whatever non class murloc you get. Easy to draw them with ice fishing too. Or the high rolls from a turn 2 dragon roar/astral rift.

and even with the murlocs, standard having a maximum of 7 in there, and there is no ice fishing in standard, so while wild would be iffy, but that is a shaman maximum of having 3 mid to low stat wide boards (unless you get stupid lucky) convinces me that this card would be a lot less broken than i thought it would be (considering token druid is basically a more consistent version of this with less spare cards).
especially considering stupid high rolling decks (mountain giant into conjurer's calling) are only mediocre in our current meta.
i call this edited card standard printable, even if it is stupid and high roll-ey and probably only good for making youtube videos it is not more so than other currently existing 2 card combos(unless there are further objections than its clearly unbalance-able wild status?).
I'm curious, does he do these as a way to give blizzard more ideas? Be cause there's been quite a few of the cards he posted here that actually ended up getting converted or directly used with a different name.

raising its cost to much defeats the purpose of slowing aggro decks down for a bit
while at that low health most classes can deal with it pretty easy using spells
Issue is most zoo decks don’t run spells, meaning they auto lose. It’s best to have it at higher cost because it is too risky of a card that could easily make a deck 70% winrate

Rogue already had access to mana spells (counterfeit coin, Gallywix) and I feel like forcing a price onto the card will help with the Gadget/miracle builds even with the combo. I also changed it to only minions to stop from allowing burn builds, and to stop the obvious (albeit one turn delayed or very niche) combo with backstab, as if you were to use this on a Zilliax with its shield up or any other divine shield minion it would allow you to use both on the same minion for 0 mana.
Surprise Attack!: 0 mana give your here +7 attack and Immune this turn. It can only attack enemy custom cards and 4 mana 7/7s

If you made sensei Wu a taunt minion it would probably fix a lot of the design issues. Plus a sensei would be trying to protect his pupils.

Wicked_ _Styx lightning bolt has the drawback of overload, a 1 mana deal 3 but must be played first is still op because 1 mana deal 3 no drawbacks in insane. The combo: don’t thing just means you can’t draw into it and play it, that’s all
Maybe suprise attack 1 mana deal 3 damage to undamaged minion combo deal 1 damage to your enemy?
Sina of Wit's End Mage: Play any spell producer (Arcane Dynamo, The Lich King, Rafaam...), play Tomb Spider -> Discover Messenger Raven -> Discover Archmage Antonidas, Play him and the spell -> Infinite Fireballs -> Win -> Delete the deck after the first time you win because it's not viable and it was only a meme deck.

the mute card is op if you shadow steps it, it becomes spend 1 card and 5 manna draws 3 then you also have a 3 manna 3/3 draw 3 next turn. 6 cards and a 3/3 for 8 manna is op people would say "well you do discard 3" but it is only a death rattle you can silence and sap it for no downsides
Yogg saron lackey is not random. It should be use random spell 2 mana spell target choosen randomly.

My problem with brode of the wood is that if you play it while you have the board you force your opponent into top deck mode. So you essentially just won if he doesn't draw a very good roaring laugther or catch up card next turn
When talking about "Sina of Wit's End" you said that she is too weak to be played and if a meta around non-class cards will be created then the game wont be fun. Maybe if you change the effect the card will be better. I personally thought maybe something along the lines of: "if your deck has no duplicate spells, your spells cost (0) this game" or maybe or maybe something a different type of spell restriction like " if your deck has no more than X spells in it, your spells cost (0) this game". The change I'm suggesting will change the original idea of the card but I believe it's a good fix.
If someone has any thoughts or comments please let me know :)

Does Combo: don't mean "deal 0 damage"? Kinda matters for Spell Damage.
I don't know if Sensei Wu would need to be as expensive as Mayor, but it's worth noting Mayor Noggenfogger has a similarly rule-breaking effects, and is a 9 mana 5/4.

Surprise Attack!: Make it a 1 mana deal 3 to a minion. Is very strong unconditional removal, BUT it must be used as combo starter, which is limiting enough to not be worth on a lot of rogue decks.
But you Brode of the Wood them with an empty hand, while they have a full hand, idealy. I think the card is good if there are alot of big hand decks.
8:40 how about: “add a random spell to your hand. It costs 2 less and its targets are chosen randomly”? More yogg-saroney, a bit weaker, but you can still get lucky and get an untargeted spell just like real yogg saron

If you play Sensei Wu when you don't have taunts and your opponent has a 5+ attack minion, it would basically just be the equivalent of freezing that minion and dealing 1 damage (generally). I feel it is too strong, but not enough to raise the Mana cost to in the 7+ range... Possibly just giving it taunt with a minor health/cost change should fix it?
How to balance Surprise Attack: just wait a few years, it wouldn't even be broken nowadays

Re Lackey review. The best way to balance Rogue atm is to add weaker lackeys to the game (if you're of the mind Rogue needs balancing as opposed to buffing other classes).
Yogg-Sarons lackey should be:
Cast a random spell (targets choosen randomly)
Too powerful and also too high rolly. It could cast a 10 mana card and win you the game on turn 2
Friendship could be a warlock card:
Summon a 1/1 imp and a 2/2 demon, draw a card
I think Suprize Attack could be more like 1 mana deal 3 to a minion? That's fair?
Surprise Attack! - 0 Mana
The next minion you play has rush.
Combo: It doesn't get rush.
Enables combos with minions and gives rogue players another way to put their minions out. I was thinking about the minion also getting immune since that's been on cards that nobody uses but comboing EVIL miscreant or SI:7 agent would be a disgusting turn 2 or 3 play.
i think that Start of game effects should only be valued at 1-2 mana with 2 mana stuff have bad restrictions. or it could be draw provided they hall of fame mountain giant.
[[Surprise Attack]] is I think balanced compared to [[Backstab]], it so because you can only use [[Surprise Attack]] once per turn or else deal no damage, plus if a minion is damaged by [[Surprise Attack]], you can't use [[Backstab]] against it.
Just ask Shadowverse how a deck built around neutral cards worked out. They tried it in the Wonderland Dreams expansion. And while some decks had good neutral synergies printed and were actually kinda fun, most of the decks were extremely boring, with Neutral Blood being one of the strongest decks to ever exist in the game and had to immediately be nerfed.
