Stampeding Roar (druid 6 mana spell - summon a beast from your hand) actually playable in Mecha'Thun druid now, so i would give it 2 or maybe 3 star rating.
A couple cards I disagree with based on my experience from 5 to legend each month, that I would be interested to hear your thoughts/believe you are wrong about due to the data on HSreplay: - Blast wave is usually a 1 of in the control version of Odd mage which is currently tier 2 - Arcanosaur was in Kiblers elemental deck which actually saw enough play to be tier 3 on hsreplay. That card was in every version of that deck so it’s definitely more than 1 Star - stampeding roar is in the new version of the mecha’thun druid with the anaconda -halazzi is recently seeing play in midrange hunter according to Deathstarv3 and I’ve seen it as well. It’s a tech card, so I think 1 Star is too low -Even Paladin is still tier 1, didn’t fall nearly as much as you’re suggesting - shouldn’t seance be better than 2 stars if it’s still in the topsy turvy OTK deck. Even if it’s lower tier, it still seems like it deserves 3 Hooktusk wasn’t 1 Star prior to the second patch, it just wasn’t as common. The pirate rogue decks were still around tier 3 according to HSreplay at that time -Rush Warrior was tier 2 for a while and is still good! Check HSreplay, the opinion I disagree with the most. It’s not that popular but it was still popular enough, and has above a 50% winrate from ranks 1-5 as of writing this comment. All of those cards are easily 3 stars! Hakkar is a very popular tournament deck, as it’s super good at beating other combo decks. Because of that’s I think it deserves better than 2 stars.
MichaelRadar his ratings aren’t only based on win percentage. For example, a deck that has a 52% win percentage won’t be a tier one deck because it isn’t in the meta as much as, say, odd paladin. That’s why he rates some 1 star.
Josh Sgambellone As someone who’s watched all of his reviews multiple timers, I don’t recall him ever saying that. Just because a deck isn’t popular doesn’t mean it’s not strong. That’s a horrible way of looking at things. There have been many times where a deck is really good but people just don’t find it fun so it’s not as common. Doesn’t mean we all need to pretend that deck is magically tier 3
Nice job! I like this faster format of Trump Reviews Trump Reviews and you still get all the same good information. I agree with other comments, lots of oh yeah I forgot about that card moments.
Springpaw and Master's call were already 5 star cards before the nerf, because they were played in Hybrid Hunter, which was (one of) the best Hunter decks.
Austin Bentley hybrid hunter lost to secret and spell during hunter stone making it a tier 2 deck during that time. Even then they were still being experimented with and not in every deck.
So I’d like to add a note about the rogue legendaries. A tempo rogue deck with Keleseth, Corpsetaker, and Hooktusk was estimated Tier 2 for most of the expansion and projected to be the best rogue deck in the game by Vicious Syndicate. That deck contains Gral and Hooktusk, so I would think Hooktusk should be four or five stars (defining high tier 2 deck, and Gral should be three or four stars (often in tier 2 deck). This deck is at its core a midrange deck with decent sized threats (fire fly is the only 1-drop) so you can consistently get very good stats on Gral. (And sometimes you high roll and get an 5-mana 10/10 thanks to the Lich King.) You of course have to play around silence and transform effects but that is not a common threat. Meanwhile, Hooktusk is insane. It is actually quite comparable to Oakheart in the way of tempo swing. Despite an unfavored matchup against Odd Paladin, coining Hooktusk on 7 has consistently won me games against that deck.
Gonk was actually used in some OTK decks do, and Stampeding Roar has been used in one of the best mechathun decks recently, altough Anaconda will sadly rotate out soon.
Hey Jens, i have an idea for slight improvement of the display of the new star ratings. You could, for instance, when Trump underrates a card add green stars but leave the yellow ones. When Trump overrates a card, you could either grey the leftover stars out or make the new stars red or something like that. This way you can immediately see how far off Trump was with his rating without skipping back and forth. I think this change would make the Trump reviews Trump reviews even better
I remember some Grave Horror with Seance spell decks that did pretty well at the start. Maybe not played enough, but it was pretty strong with the right draws.

Zentimo saw play in a tournament deck also if i’m not mistaken as well as haunting visions. This was a shudderwock list pre balance so now obviously 1 stars but at the start not far off
About Rain of Toads: I don’t know how common this was, but some Even Shaman decks pre-FTT nerf ran two copies of this card along with a Storm Chaser to draw it. In a deck that lacks card draw and sometimes needs board refill after early game totems die off, Rain of Toads provides a decent refill and the overload cost, while great, isn’t a horrible price to pay. I don’t think it deserves to be called “just bad”.
In the future I would like to hear you talk about the Legendaries more: why they didn't work and what they need to be viable in the future. Always look forward to these nice job.
I prefered the longer version tbh. The suspense of seeing whether you messed up each individual card or got it right(and the self mockery that came with it of course) was a big part of the gun.
Blast Wave only 2 stars? It’s seen quite a lot of play outside of big spell mage in odd as a pretty diverse board clear with value potential. Seems like it should be 3 at least

Also Zuljin only has like Animal Companion and Secrets, other cards just destroy your board, there going to need support for that hero card to better
Shadowclaw777 I mean, IMO the hero cards like hagatha and boom are powerful, but not death knight powerful. I do not expect them to totally oppress everything else, as they aren’t nearly at the Calibur of the koft hero cards.
Stampeding Roar is a card played in the newest edition of Mechathun and is arguably a way better version of the old one.Its the card that makes the deck work in a better way than the old one along with anaconda. It should have been adjusted in this video to 4 stars.
@@iandakariann I've seen people use it in legend, and I've had good winrates with decks including it. I think it should certainly be at least 2 stars or even 3
Issa meme card, fun but very very slow in my experience. Might be a deck out there that can break the effect but that deck is not tempo rogue or pogo rogue as far as i can tell
Funny how shamans rating were pretty close from a wild perspective, lickim is good in agro spirit of the frog shaman. It I a 4 mana auctioneer and lickim is 9 dmg in the overload madness
This is one thing that always gets me when it comes to hearthstone reviews of a new expansion. A card can flip from a 1 star to a 5 star sometimes even without balance changes or expansions, but simply a new meta coming around. It feels a little ridiculous to rate cards if those ratings could apply for as little as a week or two before some if not most of those ratings need to be tweaked or rewritten as meta changes. With how volatile the meta is, how much the game changes with each expansion and each synergy discovered, it seems kind of pointless to predict a cards value since only a select several cards will be permanently good or permanently bad. It just makes review videos seem more like educated guesswork than any kind of refrence to play the game from.
I thought Akali the Rhino was going to be an absolute monster. Though huge value cards weren’t very strong in an infinite value meta, I think Akali might find a home in the next expansion. Captain Hooktusk is my personal favorite card and can absolutely become a monster if Blizzard prints some huge, valuable pirates.
I will defend elemental mage until the day I die. Trumpy’s ftp ele mage inspired me to make my literal only decent constructed deck back when I played more.
I know it's a rating for standard but to be fair with you Likkim is played in an aggro shaman in wild. Same for spirit of the frog helping malygos shaman in wild.
I crafted Griftah for fun, I love the card it's so funny to be screwed over or to get a great card then give your opponent like totemic might or something when they aren't a shaman
untamed beastmaster might be no good in the meta, but i have a meme quest hunter deck that has it, and i often use it as a soft taunt because if i get my carnassa and people don't kill the beastmaster, it gets out of control ridiculously fast
Max R because even for a meme that’s not good since you wouldn’t have a win condition. Quest mage wins when it’s able to play the quest so what’s the point of playing it twice for any other reason?
Sunder Buddies you wouldn’t run the quest with Jaina. The whole point is to kill someone in 1 turn, not survive with value. In both wild and standard right now, neither deck uses Jaina
@@Radarssbm I'm talking about if there were to be a malacrass double quest mage. Three turns in a row is pretty good for jaina mage, solid meme potential.
Sunder Buddies Yeah I knew that’s what you meant haha. I think even as a meme deck it’s kinda underwhelming lol. Taking a bunch of turns in a row just doesn’t seem that great when you think of all the work you’d have to put in to complete the quest multiple times.
I don't know. You keep repeating that midrange hunter was overshadow by other hunter arquetypes but the pro players I follow always said that midrange hunter was the best hunter deck out there, from the beginning of the expansion. The difference got wider after the nerf, more noticeable.
He almost certainly will, especially with all his comments about looking out for cards after the rotation. It’s pretty likely he’ll rereview this expansion after the new one settles down.
Mm... before the nerf to spellstone, a hybrid midrange hunter was the strongest performing hunter deck and the pure midrange hunter was also boasting better winrates than the more popular spell hunter and even pure secret hunter. Sorry Trump, I don't think that excuse flies with springpaw or master's call. It is true no one was using the hatchet back then though.
Didn’t Treespeaker see enough play to grand it the 2 star rating? There was a token-trennt deck that was performing really well at a point in the meta shortly before the nerf to wild growth and nourish. That also goes for discard warlock. It wasn’t very good but I saw a decent bit of it at the beginning of the expansion. I also think Arena Fanatic is worthy of 2 stars because of its appearance in some evenlock builds. That’s just my, unprofessional might I add, opinions. Great re-review.
i actually like War Druid Loti , I use it in my Odd Druid and my Token/treant Druid , Truthfully the 4/2 Rush is better than you think as a removal tool when needed especially for odd druid and the 1/6 taunt was surprisingly good in my token deck as a way to protect my tokens for a turn or even just buffing itself , I hardly used the other 2 modes but when I did need them it was good to have them, its like having a Gun " id rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it" ....Also Odd Druid is Highly underestimated , people compared it to Rouge saying it was bad because of the comparison but to be honest you cant compare it that way because you could use your hero power to armor up if need be and let me tell you just how many times it saved me but yea once the game gets into turn 5 and above i find the odd druid hero power to be better than odd rouges hero power and what i mean is (and you know im right if you play odd rouge ) that late game as odd rouge sometimes and often you have enough mana to re-dagger every turn and when that is the case Odd druids hero power is ALOT more apealing ...My odd rouge is more of a midranged deck that is reminesent of old school midranged druid but this deck uses good minions with stats and good minions with batttlecrys along with your hero power to win the board then you can drop a stranglethorn tiger to setup a leeroy jenkins savage roar turn with whatever minions you have alongside the stealthed tiger from the turn before , also i tech in void ripper to get surprise burst damage with dire mole , stonehill defender , gloom stag , ancient of war and Void Ripper is also great at dealing with taunts like Enforcer and sleepy dragon and stuff like that ....just having a few fireflys and diremoles on board then void rippering them with a savage roar can sometimes do like 20 damage or more , Truly a under rated deck
About Stampeding Roar... Disguised Toast feachured Mecha'Tun deck with Roar and Anaconda, so this can potentially start to be played soon thus making it 3 star card too. See video below. ua-cam.com/video/0evM74Oq0Ok/v-deo.html
Leon Lozinskiy yup! There are quite a few cards he mistakenly rated 1 Star. The biggest offender is calling rush Warrior cards 1 Star when they’re literally a tier 2 deck according to HSreplay right now
i miss the longer ones both for more entertainment and greater procrastination value, so i appeal to the mayor of value town to grant us longer reviews so i can get even more value out of my quest to procrastinate. this iteration of said quest had less value than the other quests from past expansions, and thus receives a 3 star rating because while it is serviceable, the other forms offer more value.
These two guys looks very compatible each other, and the way that little guy see and hear the bigger guy is so adorable. Are they in relationship with each other?

Shadowclaw777 you’re late, the expansion is already over. Unless you’re talking about the next expansion, that is.
benepic Yes I mean that only the decks with hero cards are going to be the best control decks, unless the card quality is absurd for the other classes
Shadowclaw777 I mean, IMO the hero cards like hagatha and boom are powerful, but not death knight powerful. I do not expect them to totally oppress everything else, as they aren’t nearly at the Calibur of the koft hero cards.
God you are really getting better and better every expansion
Hex lord malacrass is gonna be good with the incoming slower meta with less infinite value cards
Lets smorc Them Down
Guess Trump hasnt found out the Anaconda Mecha'Thun OTK Druid huh
Let's be honest - it came out so late it barely registers on any of the statistics for this year.
Stampeding Roar is a card played in the newest edition of Mechathun and is arguably a way better version of the old one.Its the card that makes the deck work in a better way than the old one along with anaconda. It should have been adjusted in this video to 4 stars.
Definitely liked this format for this content
Spirit of the Shark has seen quite a lot of play, why only 1 star?
It has? I know it's memeable but was it used seriously in tournaments or legend?
@@iandakariann I've seen people use it in legend, and I've had good winrates with decks including it. I think it should certainly be at least 2 stars or even 3
Issa meme card, fun but very very slow in my experience. Might be a deck out there that can break the effect but that deck is not tempo rogue or pogo rogue as far as i can tell
Love this format, much more efficient to watch.
Trump: "I was right all along! Any mistakes are Blizzard's fault"
Doomsayer; i was right all along
Best iteration of the "reviews reviews" GJ !
I enjoy the long form reviews but I can see how this would be nice for people with less time to watch. Regardless, well done.
Hell yeah
I’ve been waiting for the trumps re review
I will defend elemental mage until the day I die. Trumpy’s ftp ele mage inspired me to make my literal only decent constructed deck back when I played more.
Didn't even know half of the cards in this set even existed
I know it's a rating for standard but to be fair with you Likkim is played in an aggro shaman in wild. Same for spirit of the frog helping malygos shaman in wild.
I crafted Griftah for fun, I love the card it's so funny to be screwed over or to get a great card then give your opponent like totemic might or something when they aren't a shaman
Sharkfin fan is in tier 3 pirate rogue though, and is a pretty defining factor in that deck. Loophole trump?
untamed beastmaster might be no good in the meta, but i have a meme quest hunter deck that has it, and i often use it as a soft taunt because if i get my carnassa and people don't kill the beastmaster, it gets out of control ridiculously fast
Stampeding Rush has recently been used for a strong mechathun

Nice editing trump.
Just after seeing this video, why did I never see (even meme) a quest Malacrass deck, like you can take 3 turns if you finish the quest 2 times
Max R because even for a meme that’s not good since you wouldn’t have a win condition. Quest mage wins when it’s able to play the quest so what’s the point of playing it twice for any other reason?
@@Radarssbm wouldn't the win con just be jaina like every other mage?
Sunder Buddies you wouldn’t run the quest with Jaina. The whole point is to kill someone in 1 turn, not survive with value. In both wild and standard right now, neither deck uses Jaina
@@Radarssbm I'm talking about if there were to be a malacrass double quest mage. Three turns in a row is pretty good for jaina mage, solid meme potential.
Sunder Buddies Yeah I knew that’s what you meant haha. I think even as a meme deck it’s kinda underwhelming lol. Taking a bunch of turns in a row just doesn’t seem that great when you think of all the work you’d have to put in to complete the quest multiple times.
watched this video at 2 speed. Made it a lot more easy to watch!
I don't know. You keep repeating that midrange hunter was overshadow by other hunter arquetypes but the pro players I follow always said that midrange hunter was the best hunter deck out there, from the beginning of the expansion. The difference got wider after the nerf, more noticeable.
Halazzi is actually seeing a little bit of play now, not anymore than would warrant a 3 stars, but it's pretty good with hyena.
Stampeding Roar became relevant for 6 mana Mecha Thun
Are you going to re-re do this again after rotation? Seems like there's a lot of potential for change.
He almost certainly will, especially with all his comments about looking out for cards after the rotation. It’s pretty likely he’ll rereview this expansion after the new one settles down.
Dragon Roar is 5 stars in Arena, along with a few other options in here.
Hey, I think you forgot about Peanuts Shaman, especially when talking about Haunting Visions
After the rotation will freeze shaman finally be good?
Mm... before the nerf to spellstone, a hybrid midrange hunter was the strongest performing hunter deck and the pure midrange hunter was also boasting better winrates than the more popular spell hunter and even pure secret hunter.

Token tree speaker was a tier two deck before the nerfs according to hs reply
Aye, but were rating AFTER the nerfs
@@yosh3301 :l
It seems like if Trump reviewed after the nerfs he would've been mostly correct.
ANOTHER MISTAKE untamed beastmaster is 2 stars. Apx has hit top 10 legend with safari odd mage multiple times and beastmaster is what makes that deck.
Stampeding Roar moves to a 2 or 3 star becuase its now in Mechathun druid as a better way to get Mechathun out.
When you watch kibler and these 1 star cards get used regularly :D
Isn't stampeding roar seeing play in mechathun druid right now?
Leon Lozinskiy yup! There are quite a few cards he mistakenly rated 1 Star. The biggest offender is calling rush Warrior cards 1 Star when they’re literally a tier 2 deck according to HSreplay right now
@@Radarssbm I think he uses TempoStorm's list. They have Rush Warrior at Tier 4 right now
Tenebyss which is frustrating because they literally base their tier lists on opinions lol. HSreplay has so much data backing their stuff :/
i miss the longer ones both for more entertainment and greater procrastination value, so i appeal to the mayor of value town to grant us longer reviews so i can get even more value out of my quest to procrastinate. this iteration of said quest had less value than the other quests from past expansions, and thus receives a 3 star rating because while it is serviceable, the other forms offer more value.
I much preferred the old format. Yes this is faster but it's WAY harder to follow if you don't remember all the cards by name.
I don't get why, Mecha'thun us rank 3, I got to rank 10 with it, with a 80% win rate with it. I did use the old expensive slow style though.
Stampeding roar is actually three stars now because of the new mechathun anaconda list.
Man I just love it when an expansions main ideas completely fall flat on their face. This happened for boomsday too...
These two guys looks very compatible each other, and the way that little guy see and hear the bigger guy is so adorable. Are they in relationship with each other?
