Box is too small
Skar gets a bad rep but the bang for the buck can’t really be beat. Especially since they are always running a discount. I grabbed a full system and love it. Did a RP600.5 with a single SVR 8” with 4 of the pro 6.5’s and 4 pro tweeters and was super pleased. Noting fancy, just a decent sounding system in a daily driven vehicle without compromising a lot of space

They do have problems with woofers rubbing; they are mass produced in China and suffer Quality Control issues. Bottom line; they are entry level woofers and there's nothing wrong with that at!

@@bucwilde3470 I would love to see what you call entry level subs head anywhere near as hard as Skar audio subs do and just like any other car audio company they have defective products but even then when you get a hold of Customer Service they are top notch and have a no questions asked return policy if a product is a manufacture defect

I've been installing car stereos since the late 80's so I'm not talking about shit from Walmart or the Swap Meet. How many SKAR subs do you see going up against Sundown ZV5's, DC level 6, b2Audio, or Deaf Bonce in the meter lanes? You sound like a Skar rep, don't get mad! I actually own a VFX-12 d2

Back in the day we would Dynamat and foam seal everything. When you pulled up you wanted to hear just pure heart pounding, clean hitting bass. When it's cancelled out by tons of rattles and flexing it just seems to ruin the whole experience. At least some more purists feel that way.
Agree. I had 27lb of dynamat on my show car. DEAD AS FK. Anything that rattled got a strip of dyna on it. Best stereo I ever made.

I have a all Skar setup in my daily driver Tahoe. 1 15 Skar and one Skar 1500 6.5 for the doors 2 optima batteries and HO alt. I had never heard about them until my coworker had a all Skar setup and it was hitting hard. Had my setup for 2 years now not one issue.
I've had a pair of zvx 18's and the sk 3500.1 on a 600 amp fuse in my daily for about 3 yrs now. Same no issues the subs are still tight amp runs cool to the touch still. I can drive all day with the system slamming amp stays cool. Speakers can take more I'm going to strap a pair of 3500.1's on them in the next vehicle. I'm switching my daily to a DC audio 10k system just because.

I had a skar ivx 15" in a box built to spec in a trunk of a monte carlo and I was very impressed with my $80 sub. I mettered it for fun and got a 138.6 on the dash sealed

Very nice system like another commenter stated I would however move the amps off of the box. If you like where they are for aesthetics then build a free floating amp rack in that location you can make it look just like it is now just without the amps being screwed to the box. As I'm sure you know the bass will undoubtedly eventually start rattling those amps apart so a free floating amp rack would look the part but would not be directly attached to the box. Anyway that's just one idea and by NO am I saying this build isn not awesome I'm just giving you a little pointer on the mounting of the amps that's all. Sweet sweet build man I'm loving it.

IAM SCAR’D 4 LIFE !!! I have 212 inch scar EVL with two RP 1500.1 A also have two scar 6 1/2 inch EVL mini subs with a scar RP 350.1 pushing the to 6 1/2 inch subs I have two scar TX 6.5 mid range speakers to scar 4 x 6 and the dash and getting ready to pick up to 5.25 speakers for kick panels the set up is in a 91 Chevy S 10 extended cab that has airbag system and lays frame once it’s all finished will take pictures

Mounting those amps to the box is bound to be a disaster damaging the internals.
Well he did use wahy looked to be flexible spacers but yes always a bad idea but if he put enough flex between them it will help some!

ive always mounted my amps on my box, 15years and never had an issue before. Right now i have my Orion XTR4000.1d mounted on my 2 X12's box for past 2years.

I got the dual sdr12 package with the rp1200d. 6.5" tx components up front. 3.5 tx 2 ways in the rear doors. 2 6x9 tx in the rear deck. All being pushed by a rp75ab 500w amp. My shit slaps hard af. Knockin pictures off the wall.

i got 2/10s EVL and 1/15 EVL with a CT sounds 2300.1 and a skar audio 1500 rp Skar makes the best sounding subs to me

Also what the hell is with the PA horns with a seatbelt going right across? Got to sound like a$$ from a SQ standpoint. Absolutely zero front soundstage and no Imaging. This dude essentially hooked up a giant Bluetooth speaker with a sub. Getting loud ? Sure. Hitting alot of notes? Well , that's about it.

I picked up a skar RP1200.1D and immediately got rid of it. Coming from a Sony XM-GS100 I thought it would be a big upgrade, but the low end (frequency) from the skar was basically non-existent. Low pass and high pass tuned correctly by the way. Has anyone else had this issue with skar monoblocks? Maybe just on their more budget amps?
Yea the lows suck on the rp line, got rid of my 1500 too and got an SKv2 1500, hell of a difference
