I understand what a lot of people have said but I guess nobody actually pays attention the box was for 3 15s it was just temp cause i screwed up measurements on the 6 15 box , for being so small it had lot of bandwidth and killed the lows
I may slam the way it is but with the proper box and airspace it would be a different beast. A whole another level. If he takes 3 of those and does the proper install it would out preform that setup easily.

Blowing fuses during a demo is sign that things are fucked up
That’s Orion xtr2500s. He said it’s 7000 at .8 which will not do inside a vehicle. Big D ramped the voltage up to get that number and it’s dynamic not certified. Blowing fuses isn’t a dream it’s a nightmare bc he’s got way too much current going through those 4 wires. He needs 2 runs per amp and it looks like it’s one run into 2 going to the amp. That is a fire waiting to happen

They say not to run different subs on the same amp unless ohms and power match up, not that u can't use more then 1 type of sub in your vehicle 😂🤣 of course you can run whatever the hell u want especially if each sub has its own amp

I've had my 15" HCCA's for 4yrs now and they have been the best subs I've ever owned and I use mine everyday.Im by no means a competition guy,I built mine for my daily work truck.One of my other trucks has a single 15" big bang 2 it was recommended by a local shop (its Ok) but I have a cherry Caddy EXT that's about to get atleast 4 HCCAs in it.

Those quick tight bass notes are dangerous. I popped a Crescendo BASS-CLEF 6K wired at 0.4 with the same kind of note.

Rule of thumb on ported boxes is small boxes need abs to be over powered , and you can under power bigger boxes. I think he could be just as loud if he unhooked the top 3 and left them in as passive subs. I had the same sub in a 7.5 cube box in the same Ext cab truck and had to do similar bracing cause them trucks roof disc Soo much. Great video!

Those xtr 2500's are the best bang for your $ they put out way more than 2500w but hcca will always be my favorite
Can imagine he ran those top 3 at 180° on the Amps. That's crazy running each amp to each sub. I loved my two Orion HCCA 12s I had back in the early 2000s. Had a JL500.1 running them in the back of my hatchback. In 2days age more of a SQ guy but I still love watching these for ideas as I want my new setup to look good for this year's events.
Reminds me of some crazy cajun's set up from the late 80's.
Orion has always been my favorite for big SPL builds

if you pop a 500A amp fuse. most time its a bad wire or wire connection.

I'm running 1 1500 watt scar amp on an evl 12 n it gets down pretty good for the price man still getting electrical perfect but I'm happy with it ATM
I can't believe how much that American bass woofer is helping.
My XTR 2500.1Dz burnt the tinsel leads on my 152, but the coil was unharmed. I've never had any trouble from the Orion coil. It's always the tinsel lead. I switched up from a single 152 on an XTR 2500 to two 124s on a Taramps MD 5k. Built a 4th order, 2.5 sealed and 4 ported. Plays everything. Love my HCCAs! Can't wait for the next run to come out. I want to get 3 more 152s, and put them on a 12k.
Ik this is a year later but usually when u burn tensile it is due to clipping and not to much power, but since u have changed amps maybe u have gotten more power, and u have probably already learned this by now
@@1-Six-dee thanks for the feedback but my hands are set with a dd1. Bad tinsels. Same thing with those 124s. I've moved on from Orion. No possible with my next set. Same amp, same dd1, just different subs. Have a good one.
I hate hearing everybody saying he needs the proper box, he needs the proper Port, but his setup is blowing smoke like my supercharger from my Camaro. And it's only an extended cab truck. Maybe in a suburban will everything be proper, right? Enjoy what's in front of you, quit with the horrible criticism. Specs from manufacturing mean recommendations, because I know that ( extending on a supercharger) I wouldn't need a 5 inch exhaust to make optimal performance. Great hat trick for this"unorthodox" build. I like your build. I'm gonna be in my fourth build, and I'm doing an avalanche with an oversized build because in my recent 2nd suburban build, I found out that what I lacked in SPL, I gained tremendously in SQ.
Right these clowns are annoying talking about proper box this and that what they don't know is that this box actually sounded good with all music for spl it was only 154.98 but it was just something I was trying out to see how it would sound cause I didn't have time to build wall thanks for keeping it 💯

Love Orions subs! Jacob if you get another amp try the red 3000 orion amp wire it to .5 ohms and you easily get 5000 rms watts for your next powerful no budget sub. Get an American Bass or a Orion 12 Jacob. These 2 brands are nice. If I didn't have a budget I would of went with 2 18'' hcca orion subs and built a bigger box than the one I have.

Tony Schaff I think you’ll be much better off with 4 subs and a lot more port area. If you can shoot for about 52 in sq of port area for each sub and a minimum of 3 cu feet of usable air space per sub. That will give you a lot deeper range and won’t choke the subs. I’m pretty sure you’ll see significant gains.
I actually already started a wall for the 5 orions 20 cubes before displacement,driverside L port 6x40
just by looking he doesn't have nearly enough port area, probably has a response more of like a leaky sealed enclosure, he can still play very low because the box doesn't unload as hard under tuning due to this
Love the sport the way you like don't have to build things to what people want or it should be having fun is what bass heads should be doing encouraging instead of talking I like home builds doesn't have to be super special his set up is awesome power to you sir

Damn, this video takes me back to 2007. Expensive stereos in cheap chevy truck and Lil Wyte Oxy Contin on repeat. I loved this shit right after high school. I stumbled on this because I am thinking of doing a little stereo in my new Blazer. I definitely won't have anything like this tho, If I even get a sub I don't want it to take up any usable room. Will probably go with a spare tire woofer or something under the seat. I'm a dad now with responsibilities and all that shit, so can't go too crazy.
Just imagine what it would sound like if he had double or triple the airspace and port area.
I'm really surprised It did that well with that box being a limiting factor.

Thats an American Bass XMAXXX rated at 4000 watts RMS. Runs around $550 which is a steal. That subs a monster.

That boxes has gotta be choking those subs. Honestly he would’ve probably be much better off running 3 15s or 4 max.
This could work if it were 3 sets of Isobaric pairs (3 x 2 subs mounted face to face) but it would only be a little louder than 3 of the subs by themselves. But could be tuned to 28 or 30 hz and would sound great.

This set up may look “wrong” but if you’ll look, the back sides and top is boxed off. So it’s not necessarily waaay undersized for this many subs BECAUSE he’s firing to front of the cabin, not up in open cabin, so this will be tuned a little high. But not as high as if it were just the box without the sides and top. Prolly 48-50hz I’m sure still.. And it will take a little more power to make them move. I could see how this would work out fine with that top and side plates tho

I had a 94 S10 pickup truck extended cab back in the 90s and I had 8 15s in it. And I had four punch 500 m running them I could not keep the truck together everything was falling off of it anytime I played anything with really good bass.

How the hell u blow 4 500 amp fuses? Something must be wrong 4 that 2 happen. Not just 2 much power. Tiny wires, and maybe not wired correctly, glad 2 see the hair trick Queen @jessicaviral at her best! Y'all killin it! Keep it up!
I had 4 cheap amazon fuseholders and when the bass hit sometimes it was causing to arch at the end of the fuses I changed out to a 4 way smd fuseholder no more problems using 300 amp fuses now
These amps are fantastic, I run the same ones and I do love me some Orion.
I’d take that American bass sub out and make that a 10” round PVC port and close off the side long port. Should pound even harder! Other than that nice set up!
I actually tried that before I started my wall for just the 5 orions I think only did a 152.9 something close to that im just about dont with a 20 cube flat wall for the 5 haccas with a huge driverside slot port

Thanks bud actually starting the wall build now,yesterday I took out the american bass and replaced it with a 12 inch port I only metered 151.2 so I'm stating my wall build now, I explained to Jacob the box was just suppose to be for 3 and I was just experimenting with the 3 on top still got so many comments telling me the box is too small no shit lol 😅 😂 🙃 😆 but thanks for the cool comment im just a old school basshead that loves all bass
