I am impressed to say the least. I am 75 and will never outgrow powerful stereo. I have never heard of a 158 pound woofer, whew.. The best we had for my first car system in 1967 was a flea powered Dimension 48, 8 track tape player and toy speakers.
So damn awesome with all that glass around, very nice looking aggressive set up! Looking at your whole setup it actually looks like a SQ system all the way, which makes it even more impressive!
mounting a sub over 70 pounds upsidedown by yourself is pretty hard, I wouldn't consider myself a small guy either, and when you go to flip it right side up, don't just grab it by the magnet.
I wonder how far away you can hear that thing coming from wow. I always loved picking my friends up and not having to call that i was close and to come out they would be outside a minute before pulling up from all the bass lol
I love the clear plus the solid setup and the clarity is top tier I can’t wait to do half of this keep up the great work sir appreciate you Jacob buddy heck what better way to do if you really want quality. 😊
Wow what an amazing build. I love even more when someone does their own work. So nice. I'm a fan of huge amps and subs. 😳 😜 Maybe just for curiosity get an SPL score. Very nice thank you. ¿🤔? How many alternators?
It’s why I adore neo subs. Lightweight. I don’t like hauling a truckload of bricks unless I put em in a vehicle that I only use for SPL shows. I wish one day a subwoofer with a 100x powerful magnet that weighs just one pound could be invented.
The problem isn't just the magnet itself, it's the steel plates that end up getting saturated with magnetic field lines to the point where they can't channel/contain enough flux, and the rest goes astray. In the past, some manufacturers have used specialty steels like Permendur or Telar 57 in order to get outstanding flux density in the pole/plates, but those applications are few and far between due to the cost of that steel. Børresen even created a speaker mostly without iron for this specific reason; iron while it is useful for channeling the flux, also has it's limitations. Without iron in the magnetic path, more doors are opened up for magnet topologies.
Where do these big aero ports come from? I been wanting a 10 inch aero port I know big ass ports makes 6 and 8 inch ones but I didn’t see any bigger options anywhere else.
What size port is that? If it is 12" with 7.1 cu ft it would need to be 50 inches long to be tuned to 28 hz. Since it is flared it would need to be even longer. If the port is 10" it would still have to be 35 inches long.
@@JacobViral So there is no way that box is tuned to 28 hz then. It looks like the box is about 28-30 inches front to back at most and internally the port is at least 6-8 inches from the front of the box. So the port is maybe 24 -28 inches long at most, which gives him a tuning of 36-40 hz at best. Whoever told him it was 28 hz tuning needs to check their math.
Since when did dynamat stop flexing all it does is change resonate frequency. IF you don't want flex you going to have to brace and fill it up with something solid like resin or concrete.
@@scamchan yes! Dynamat is only for those low powered cheap azz systems. Doesn’t stop any flex. It’s just for people who still have factory warranties on their leased cars and don’t want to pour concrete in the interior and take about their gurl’s stripper pole to brace the walls and roof.
I used to have a dark blue blazer and wished you were my neighbor Dogg keep bumpin amazing wiring amazing clean everything keep it simple no makeup strictly business babyyyyyyyy
Sick system and made in America 👍would take special attention to mounting something that hevy, 18 ply birch might help so when you have to hit the brakes hard that the subs don't rip off the box and kill you. 🤕
So I feel like a PSA should go out on this install. If this vehicle ever experiences a front end collision, those massive mag slugs will rip right off the frames and likely decapitate the driver or passenger! 🤕
You're setup is sick ! I have a 2002 Park Ave with the pearl white paint and beige guts. Looking to customize the whole back seat to fold down and set it up with 2 15's and possibly 2 10's on the back doors with two 6.5's on the front doors with some spot tweaters in the front as well. Just wondering if you think that set up would be tight and the best way to do it. Or a better way. Any advice would be much appreciated.
For the front, 6.5 and tweeters would work great. Make sure the tweeters can play down to the crossover point of the 6.5 and vice-versa. A lot of tweeters fall off too early, leaving a null from 2k-4khz. 6.5s can play up to 3khz-ish, but will have issues with off-axis performance above 1khz (beaming effect). It'll make the closest door sound quieter in the midrange than the further door. Therefore if you can get some tweeters that play low, ideally down to 1.5khz, up at head level facing the rear of the vehicle (not facing each other at 90 deg- pillar pods, sail panels with angled pods, angled door pods, etc) you get solid SQ with less drivers, less crossovers. I've been eyeing the MB Quart 95-7119 on Parts Express for that purpose actually. The specs look extremely good for $50/pair.
My radio went out I’m trying to get back up on my feet again I lost my brother 8-3-22 and my neighbor passed away in my arms October-16-22 I just gave up 😢I love my music that ❤❤💯💯🔥🔥🔥
Great setup, I have a honest question. If you were to put 4 more of those subs in the same vehicle and 2 more 14k amps. At what point are you not going to see improvement? I was commenting on a guy with 12 15's. 9 pointed down, and 3 pointed to the side of the same box. Is there a limit to air space with subs? Or will you continue to see improvement until you run out of room?
Subs require air space to perform you can't just keep adding more subs in the same air space and expect gains to come from it. You think you can put unlimited 18 inch subs into a PINTO and see gains? The right size subs tuned to the air space is key.
no wonder there's a chip shortage 😁 How many transistors are in that MASSIVE amp🤣 just a side note I'd place a cage between those 158 lb projectiles and passengers. But it's all bad ass.
