- This video shows the process of making Nigerian fufu powder from scratch, using bitter cassava. It involves peeling, washing, soaking, fermenting, draining, and sun drying the cassava. The dried cassava is then ground into a powder, which can be stored for up to six months and used to make fufu.
0:00 - 0:25 📺 Hello beautiful people, welcome back to our UA-cam channel! Thank you for watching this video. In this video, we will show you how to prepare Nigerian fufu powder from scratch.
0:25 - 1:30 🍽️ We are using bitter cassava for our fufu powder, which is different from the sweet cassava used in Ghana. This process is not done frequently, but it is important to know in case you have access to cassava and want to save money for your family.
1:30 - 2:40 💧 We start by peeling the cassava and washing it thoroughly to remove the toxic cyanide compound. The cassava is then soaked for three days to ferment and soften.
2:40 - 4:10 ☀️ After draining the water, we sun dry the cassava to make it into fufu powder. This process takes about 2-3 days. The fufu powder can be stored for up to six months and easily used to make fufu by adding water.
4:10 - 5:20 🌽 The Nigerian fufu powder is different from garri or elubo, as it has not been processed with fire. It is a unique and delicious food that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
5:20 - 5:45 ⏰ Remember to do this process during the dry season to avoid issues with rain. The cleanliness and lack of odor in our fufu powder is a result of our careful processing.
5:45 - 6:00 🙏 Thank you for watching and please share this video with your friends and family. Stay tuned for our next video where we will use the fufu powder to prepare a delicious meal. Bye bye! (kisses).

Muchas bendiciones y exitos

Thanks so much 😊 the banga is loading...please watch out🔥🔥🔥
Please there times you will soak the peeled cassava for three days or four but it will not ferment. It will be as hard the day you soaked it, can one take it to garri machine to grind it before washing it? Please I need a reply. I love your videoe keeping up
ensure you use the bitter or white cassava...if you use the sweet or red cassava even if you soak for 9days it will NEVER gets soft
