Hey Bald, just so you know if your having issues with getting into Ukraine because of the Russian visa you can request an additional UK passport and the Passport Office should be able to provide you with one. Passports for travel to incompatible countries is one of the reasons why you can request an additional one, so although you cannot travel there now you might still be able to in future, hope this helps! 🙂

I was stopped in Lviv by military, they though I might be a draft dodger, but opon realizing I'm not Ukrainian they asked for my passport and first thing, checked if there's any Russian visas (I didn't have any so it wasn't a big deal)
Point being, unless you get a new passport, your issues would not end at the border. Also I was also told to stop taking pictures in Odesa. All of which is understandable, but it's hard to imagine Bald being allowed to walk around Chernobyl with camera without attracting attention, and then when police would come and see his stamp that would cause similar (if not bigger) commotion that the one at the border.

I have believed that you will a bit more profoundly discover Nyíregyháza :( Probably it is not the most beautiful town in Hungary, but a pretty decent one and there are a few very good places to go. For example the Sóstó Zoo, which is one of the best zoos all around Europe (No.1 in its category of European Zoos with attendance between 250k and 500k). Apart that there are nice spas, restaurants and parks as well here. It is a quite calm town with small nightlife, but definitely deserves a second chanse. :) Btw Kőbányai is a damn bad beer, next time try out the products of Soproni or any other hungarian craft breweries.

I don't see it ending any time soon (literally decades away). I can 3 possible scenarios to end the war:
      1) Ukraine lose and becomes part of Russia
      2) Putin gives up due to lack of resources or some other similar reason
      3) Putin gets deposed by an internal coup.
None are likely. Ukraine are being supported by western countries ad infinitim in terms of weapons, money and arms training. Putin would happily bankrupt Russia to achieve his military goals. Putin's connections are too close to be able to depose him. His closest circle are protectorates and loyal (AFAIK).
The only way to end it is to have Putin out of power and the only way to do that is for him to die. If his successor has similar ambitions and political views, then it will continue on to the end of *his* lifetime too.
