Despite how different Jerome, Jeremiah and J were, you have got to give credit to Cameron for his acting. He made all 3 their own person and to me they were all great in their own way.
Cameron was a really good Joker. I liked he's take on the character a lot. I would rank him at #3 below Jack Nickolson on my list of the best live action Joker's.
@@DuarteGuedes-wd2ve i wouldn't say garbage, just...different. they couldn't use the Joker so they went away from the insane criminal and into the "sane" mastermind. They didn't really have a choice
Idk, I feel like he would really shine brighter in live action. His expressions, mannerisms, and body language are just on point, and all that would be lost in an animated performance. He’d probably still be great, don’t get me wrong, but it could lose a lot of what made his performance so great.
Whether live action or voice work, or even something in between like playing the character in a game and having the character modeled after him, it'd be cool to see more from him.
It's absolutely criminal in my mind that no one has called Cameron up to play a fully realized Joker. Forget Barry, I want Cameron for The Batman universe.
A lot of your takes about how having someone in the cult of Jerome actually being the joker are also great ways to talk about how bad joker folie a deux’s ending sucks so much
Well that ending was fantastic with Kevin conroy and Troy baker. And also I love both Jerome and Jeremiah both bring alittle bit how we the clown works
I miss Gotham WB should've revive this show. It's the closest to a live action batman show because Gotham knights and Batwoman should've never been made
21:30 that he amalgamated the best/most iconic aspects of previous Jokers and used that as a framework to build his from is kind of what makes Cameron's version work. Yes those are not original aspects individually, but in combination they create something new, yet instantly recognizable as the Joker
Did this viedo just start over at 11:35? He's repeating stuff he already covered in the first ten minutes. And there's an obvious audio change. As if it was recorded at a different time. Why does this video need to be forty-three minutes?
It was definitely strange the way they handled it. All in all, i loved Gotham! For my money, The Riddler is the best ever put to screen. The Riddler was pretty cool in The Batman, but it just didn't feel like The Riddler to me. Obviously The Penguin was incredible also. Love what they did with Professor Pyg!
Great video Vee. Btw Have you checked out Cardiacs yet? The song in question is called Tarred and Fearthered. You'll thank me, or possibly hate me, but do check it out. Everyone here really should.
Jerome really is the best modern day live action Joker. I appreciate the other interpretations from the likes of Pheonix and Ledger but those are very much " we're doing our own thing" versions. As far as a pure faithful interpretation in the last 20 years it doesn't get better than Jerome
It makes you wonder if Warner Brothers has ever made a good decision? It seems like they’ve succeeded in spite of themselves But hopefully in April that’s coming to an end
I'd be elated to see him play The Joker in the new DCU. But if it's only for a voice acting role in an animated series, at least let his appearances reflect his own during his time on Gotham. Cameron, to me-and I'm sure to many others-is up there among some of the best Jokers in media
Bro when are you gonna talk about the Gotham knights and suicide squad video games? At least do the suicide squad for God sakes you did a video on assault on Arkham.
I'm glad this show ultimately went with the Ace Chemicals origin. That's been part of the Joker's biography since 1951, but by now two whole movie franchises (and possibly a third coming up) have resisted incorporating. Yes, it's fantasy, but who cares? Bob Kane and Bill FInger have had their legacy disrespected so many times that it's stopped being funny and is now just sad.
Accepting him as a kinda joker, if they built a huge fan base then they created an origin story of joker that they didn’t have but that means they have to go with that or try to start over in movies and whatever they decide will lose or possibly gain fansno matter what they fo but they should have joined in with the show and created something even more grand and with the word grand that wasn’t talking about money because if they came together they could be possibly be talking about billions.
Long post but i hope some read and like or not, i just want to say i encourage anything against what ive said but please make it legit because i have nothing negative to say about anyones thoughts as long as they simply speak their mind with nothing negative about what ive said. That being said i want to say i like all of the jokers but the Jared Leto version was probably the worst one because that jokers story out of them all needed a a reason for becoming the joker more than every other version. In the show was the perfect build to create the joker but i see why that messes things up for the movies but the way everything is going, it would just be a joker from that universe 🤣🤷♂️🤦♂️💯🙌 keep it going, do it correctly and and keep that in your pocket.
The good and bad thing about the gotham show is all the villians (except fish) shone so much the actual good guys like gordon and bruce looks meh in comparision (tbh they were bland).
I really dislike their decision to swap Jerome for Jerimiah. Not only is Jerome a way funner personality, but it is another example of having the ultimate villain copycating another, albiet to a lesser extent. If they had to do that they should have left some ambiguity to which brother it was, rather than having it blatantly be Jerimiah. That way it'd have the "multiple choice" aspect.
Gotham was an amazing tv show ngl. AND JEROME AND JEREMIAH WERE BETTER JOKERS THEN THE GUY FROM SUICIDE SQUAD EVEN THO THEY WERENT EVEN CALLED JOKER 😭
It’s been nearly ten years, just let it go 💀
@@metazoo4407 it’s been 5 years since the show ended so nah
Gotham was a medicre show people often hate watched because they maybe liked specific characters. It was dumb.
Facts! Gotham was an amazing TV show and they were amazing Jokers, so much better then Suicide Squad 👍🏻👍🏻
Jared Leto was good in Snyder cut tho

Cameron Monaghan should definitely return as The Joker in some capacity.
Maybe as a voice-actor like Mark Hamill.

@@beckmania1066I totally agree
I’d argue he’s the perfect joker for battinson
Dang. Cal Kestis really went off the deep end after Order 66
Yeah he did. You should watch the show and see how Cal completely transformed as Jeremiah.
Nothing to do with Jerome but the same day I played fallen order for the first time I'd just seen him use mayo as lube on shameless 😂
YESSS HE’S BACK TO GOTHAM VIDEOS
18:24 “Joker isn’t the character to take the torch, he’s the one to light it then burn down your living room” always loved that line lol
😂😂

Really would love Cameron Monaghan to get a shot at being a more traditional depiction of the Joker.
Batman has to have the greatest rogue gallery. Unbelievable the amount of great villains.

The water from Ra's al Ghul could theoretically revive them both.
BACK WITH GOTHAM VIDSSSSS
Man I miss this show. It was just campy ass fun and some darkness
For real.
They should totally make him the joker for the dceu
I miss Gotham WB should've revive this show. It's the closest to a live action batman show because Gotham knights and Batwoman should've never been made
I swear to god Vee… you know how to stretch this Batman content.
The country music one:
The Honky Tonkler
For me Gotham is a big "I don't know"
I heared rumors their making a season 6 I hope to all the DC gods that it does

its a collection of his youtube video that feature gotham joker splice together.

I can't remember the actors name, but the guy who played the Penguin I always thought he would have made a great Joker.
Robin lord taylor and yes he would
Nahh Robin Lord Taylor has a better penguin then the joker imo, he can play wimpy, manipulative, violent and cunning all at the same time
Great video Vee. Btw Have you checked out Cardiacs yet? The song in question is called Tarred and Fearthered. You'll thank me, or possibly hate me, but do check it out. Everyone here really should.
So i know what ill be rewatching after this is over lol
Ngl
As a massive Cameron Joker fan
I've watched thus series multiple times
Same
I’m glad I went into Jerome’s 1st episode bljnd
Jeremiah was awesome
He may not have had the name Joker, but you could tell by his actions, Jomone or Jeremiah in Gotham was The Joker.
The joker is nobody's fool 😤...👀....👀...🤣😂😅😂🤣🤣😂😂
just finished gotham for first time and the absence of it is depressing
Also… it would have made sense for Jeremiah to come first. And get replaced by Jerome. The more realized and crazy version
Why do you dislike Death of the Family?
Him & Hamill are THE best!
Why is there so many jokers

Being reminded of the pandemic by the old recordings of the lovely actors, lol.
Dude played a good Joker, fun to see different sometimes(not Jared Leto)
13:25 post Jerome is a good name for Jared leto as joker
darth vader vs joker
I didn’t even realize Gotham did the twin/clone/whatever so much 😂😂
34:37 the chemical can make Jeremiah turn into a Jerome style Joker. He will “snap” again😂
100th like and new Gotham video 😍
I wish we could get Cameron as the Joker in The Batman. Jerome was so damn good it’s… insane 🤪
