"It's not about the destination, but the journey." Just because Ash and Pikachu's journey isn't in focus, doesn't mean it will end. Same goes with everyone we meet in life. Friends come and go, but they will forever be part of our lives.
Being raised by a physically and emotionally abusive father, ash and pikachu helped me find some joy throughout my childhood. Seeing ash finally rest, brings me immense joy and a sense of melancholy. Thanks for all the positive moments as a little boy!
I'm sorry this happened to you and i'm so glad and happy how much joy Ash and Pikachu brought to your life as well as all of ours he's done so much for so many people we will miss our loveable duo so much!
I'm curious how your father could abuse you physically without abusing you emotionally? It is either he abused you OR he abused you emotionally. The difference being that emotional abuse can happen without physical abuse. BUT physical abuse ALWAYS comes with emotional abuse. So next time, just say abuse. When you say physical and emotional, it sounds like your TRYING to get some pitty points.
@@DanielsTravelVlogs Oh I fully agree with you it was kinda open ended especially with the usual till next time a new beginning. I'm sure someday we will see the duo again
I have my own thought about the meaning of the ending shot. After Ash throws the stick, and shot pans to the direction where Ash and Pikachu took, both of the are nowhere to be seen. For me, it means that he is out there somewhere, having adventures, but this time without us, the audience, to see it. Thus, telling us we don't need to see his adventures anymore, and we should look for our own adventures now.
He actually throw it for the viewers. Like in the 1st episode where he walked the opposite direction, he probably done the same but this time we are not following him anymore and we walk in a new direction instead
I’m actually crying. I’m not someone who cries a lot but Pokémon was and actually kind of still is a big part of my life. I remember watching it on the tv when I was waiting for my brother to get back from school so we could play and it was one of my most favorite things on the tv at that time. Hearing Ash is leaving hit hard but having the actual final episode of him is hitting a lot harder and I almost started sobbing. Goodbye Ash and Pikachu, the memories will stay forever.
Exactly! Same here. Don't really shed tears but it kinda killed me a little when I saw the last episode. I grew up watching Ash going on adventures, making new friends & catching all sorts of Pokemon. It has been such a huge part of my childhood & it's hard to bear the fact that we have bid him farewell forever. Feels like childhood is officially over.
Same here, Pokemon is something i grew up watching i thought it was always going to be ash following his dream but when i heard ashs journey ending i was literally at the verge of crying. Thank you ash for the 25 years youve given us. i will never forget you!
I'm sad as well. The anime will not be the same without Ash. Not to mention, not everything in His story was wrapped up correctly. I don't think we've seen the last of Ash & that we'll see him again sometime down the road. Even a member of the anime staff said that Ash's story isn't over. I won't keep my hopes up, but I'll wait as long as it takes.
Can we just agree that even though the series has ended, in our heart no matter what age we are, Ash will remains young and is still out there on his journey to explore the world… forever
@@ChrisAtheist actually the first couple of seasons had a rough chronology, at least in English (don't know about the original). but this was soon abandoned.
It all makes sense now. You can also add the fact that the Team Rocket always feels awful whenever they're blasting off but in this last episode they embraced it. They changed. Another thing is that Ash for the first time asked one of his Pokémon if they wanted to go back with him on a journey and it was Pidgeot. The message of the last episode was clearly about change.
The Ash and Pikachu mini-arc story final episode's exposition of what a Pokemon Master means to Ash, just confirmed that the writers view Ho-OH to be figuratively the symbol of what a Pokemon Master is. Based on the Johto series bell tower episode, Ho-Oh is regarded in the anime as the ultimate harmonious symbol of pokemon and human connectivity, and is both respected and accepted by arguably all Pokemon in the world who deem it as either their sacred deity or loyal companion. Which is essentially what a Pokemon Master is, a pokemon trainer that is accepted by all Pokemon as a loyal companion (friend). This may also support the reason why Ash gets so inspired when he encounters Ho-Oh, or gets reminded of it, through symbology's of it (rainbow). I didn't care much for the ending, since long time fans never got closure to Ash's story of fulfilling his dream. I felt the writers could have had Ash accomplish his goal of being a Pokemon Master, by having Ash and Ho-oh have a proper meeting, in which Ho-OH acknowledges Ash as a Pokemon Master, by allowing Ash to temporarily catch it as symbol of respect of viewing Ash as an equal ( a fellow Pokemon Master), based on recognition of Ash's qualities of being a good trainer, which is proven based on the bond he developed with his pokemon over the course of his journey and accomplishments of being a world champion. Ash could have then continued to travel the world to learn more about pokemon, just like how Ho-oh continues to travel the world in search of good trainers. But again, we never got this. For me, the anime just reinforced the slogan of "gotta catch'em all (befriend them all)" as the ultimate goal of being a pokemon master. Nothing at all tied in to why his dream is so connected to Ho-OH and why he gets so inspired from his encounters with seeing bird.
I have to disagree on this. The reason being that if they ended the series with a meeting between Ash and Ho-Oh, then that would render his ultimate goal of becoming a 'Pokémon Master' meaningless. The ultimate goal means meeting and befriending every Pokémon, to get to know them personally. If Ho-Oh simply met him, and proclaimed him a 'Pokémon Master', then he would have no more reason to go on journeys, which is also a prerequisite of a 'Pokémon Master'. If we look at this another way, by ending Ash's story in this way, that gives opportunities for him to appear in later series, making cameo's, or even the start of a new series with him as the protagonist again. By ending it the way they did, that leaves open the door of countless possibilities.
An emotional wholesome 🥹 episode all around from beginning to end Ash and Pikachu saying goodbye to Misty and Brock happy for Psyduck getting its hug. Can’t believe Pidgeot returned to Ash’s team highlight of the episode. The promise came true over 20 years. Who knows could be one of Ash's Strongest birds now since it has a mega evolution form. We know our hero will be traveling always meeting new pokemon. We’ll see Ash and Pikachu again for future unnamed regions to come. Thank you Ash and Pikachu for all the memories you’ve given us fans.
20 years later Ash still kept is promise and I do agree that was one of the best moments ever in the episode. We will certainly see Ash and Pikachu someday where ever it is and we will be there to see him again. Goodbye Ash and Pikachu we will miss so much ❤
I’m still not bored of Ash yet, so I hope maybe we get a spin-off series. I doubt it but that would still be cool. I would like him to grow up a little bit but maybe not that old as everyone expects him too, idk maybe 16 or something not 30
I've been going through a lot lately, but hearing your breakdown of this episode made me realize one thing: I, too, need to embrace change and be ready to accept the happiness coming up ahead. Thanks, man, for this video.
The shoes coukd symblozed that he was still figuring out what to do at the end of current journey, the changing of them is the sign he's figured it out and set out for a new adventure.
this episode made me shed a couple tears. its been so long since I've seen pokemon, but to see it end, especially with a bunch of character throwbacks, AND the return of Pidgeot to add to it feels so different. absolutely amazing show, thank Ash for everything, my childhood was made because of this show. hurts to see it end, but everything needs an end. goodbye Ash
Thank you Ash Ketchum. As a legend, you deserve a nice long rest. Its only a mater of time before i see you again my Friend. You've been my Friend for 25 years, Ill never forget you and Wait for you to come back. I'll tell your story to my child and my grand child, your legacy will never die. You inspire me to reach my goals,i still haven't reach all of them, but like you i'll keep on trying. Thank you for all those amazing years ,so long friend.
Damn. This goes out to all the pokemon fans who didn't live to see this day. 🌌 Whenever I look at the sky on a beautiful cloudy day, ill never forget the time that you had smile on your face.
That is beyond beautiful and honest. That is the essence of humanity. Believe me those who have left us... Leave their love and it is our duty to carry their hopes, Iove, and experiences as our legacy to carry with us. Stay blessed and strong, because surely as that rainbow comes after a rain, so shall the good days that lay ahead. ❤
Thanks for the memories ash, you will always be the best protagonist ever. The scarlet and violet game was so hyped up, but i know so many people felt sad when the trailer for the anime released. Honestly, I never thought that an anime of creatures would hold so much lore and be so deep This brings many tears.
I'm extremely glad that Ash's Pidgeot returned to Ash for good. I'm glad that Tracey got development in this episode. I'm surprised that Ho-Oh didn't appear in the episode. I hope Ash's heading to the Paldea region next. I'm sure that he won't meet our new main character's coming next month. I don't think we've seen the last of Ash. They've left the door open for him to return. And there's still plot's left for Ash: 1st. Giovanni & Team Rocket's still out there, The Team Rocket Organization's gotta be stopped. Jesse James & Meowth are wasting their time there. being in Team Rocket's holding them back from their dreams. 2. We've still haven't seen Ash's father yet. 3. Ash hasn't officially caught any legendary pokemon yet. Even though Solgaleo's practically his. 4. caught a female-only pokemon. 5. not get to use the new gen 9 mechanic terastallize. 5. Ash needs to get Greninja back after it's done weed whacking. If Ash caught any new Paldean pokemon, I'd want him to catch Armorouge, Skelederge, Quaquaval, & Koraidon And for older gen pokemon, I'd want him to have Gyarados, Mewtwo, Tyranitar, Ho-Oh, Flygon, Salamence, Gardevoir, Latias & Latios, Rayquaza, Abomasnow, Zoroark, Braviary, Zekrom, Volcanion, Tyrantrum, Male Pyroar, Avalugg, Kommo-o, Golisopod, Zeraora, Corviknight, Rillaboom, Inteleon, Cinderace, Urshifu, & Zacian I'll look forward to Ash's return someday. Till we meet Ash & Pikachu someday
Honestly hope they return again, it’s going to be hard not seeing ash in the new anime, they should of kept him on and made a spin off series for the new characters, similar to chronicles and origins
The last episode was almost a heart attack for me but it was truly nostalgic and its time to say goodbye to our heroes Ash and pikachu but Team Rocket too. I believe too we see Ash and pikachu again someday. 😢
Dam it this has me in tears again! I’ve followed ash alllll the way from day one, I’m 35 now and it hurts a lot, even though I know Liko is going to fill his shoes, a final goodbye to ash is so sad! Until we meet again Ash and Pikachu
you hit the nail on the head with this. It's all about change. In everyday life I know there are people out there including myself who are sometimes afraid of change and that's ok cause being afraid of change is normal but we also have to embrace it as well. I will never forget this amazing journey with Ash and Pikachu because of them I have met amazing people in real life and I had to say goodbye to those amazing people too but I would never forget them and what they have done for me. Thank you Ash and Pikachu for everything. Liko and Roy.....it's your turn now...(to a new begining)
I was actually thinking about how I loved the older cartoons so much all the way to x y and z and having grown up with so many seasons pre existing without going completely stale, I kinda thought it would always be this way. In the time of the present companies are getting more comfortable with changing things up and trying to market to audiences in new ways and either way I’m just happy kids will get to grow up with this amazing anime as I did. Plus with all these streaming services I garuntee you that there will be people watching back through the first couple of seasons and getting the throwback vibes whereas I have a deep nostalgia. Withou even realizing it ash and pikachu were huge parts of my childhood and I genuinely enjoy the overall vibe of the old shows. Goodbye to an era and shello to a new. I’ll always remener adj working his ways up the ranks, pikachu acting like a realistic unruly animal, charmander being saved and becoming such a diva. All of the team rocket moments i loved for. It’s hard to hot get emotional at least to some de
I really liked the end, but I would've loved them to include Ho-Oh along with the Rainbow, as his journey first began with its appearance, and it could've possibly be seen going the same direction Ash was going as it did on Day 1. Apart from that, THANK YOU ASH KETCHUM AND PIKACHU FOR GIVING US AN INCREDIBLE CHILDHOOD WITH A BUNCH OF MEMORIES!!!
I would have liked to see Ho-Oh one more time too. Maybe the writers didn't include it because Ash's natural instinct would be to follow it. The whole point of this episode is for him to figure out what he's going to do without having a clearly defined goal to focus on. If Ho-Oh had actually appeared, it would have given him a clearly defined goal because Ash would want to meet it face to face instead of just watching it from afar. However, he and Pikachu had to figure this out on their own without a Legendary Pokemon guiding them.
Thanks for making me view this episode in a different way. Unlike the way others were portraying the episode as a final goodbye to ash, I portray it as a final goodbye to ash as a main character. And unlike other episodes, the word change is literally missing in the whole Pokémon franchise. By changing the way the franchise tells stories is the only way it can move forward. Replacing Ash as a main character, it has made him realize that change is inevitable and is the only way to move ahead in life and to be a Pokémon master. Plus, giving others a chance to being a main protagonist or being in the spotlight as well. Time is limited to everyone and we must not cling to the past. No matter how good you are, you will one day be replaced by someone else and we need to accept change. 😄😄😃
These 2 at the beginning didn’t know what they were doing but now at the end it can make a grown man cry. It is so beautiful to see that they finally achieved there dream of being a Pokémon master. I wish they should just continue with ash catching all the Pokémon but hey, everything has to come to and end, we’ll miss you Ash and Pikachu.😢😢😢
Sakura also conveys the meaning of beginning and the coming of spring! Ash and pikachu's journey is far from over, the lad still considers himself a challenger. We're bound to see him again!
I will say it was also nice to see the words next time not to be continued. That was a nice subtle way to end the series. But as you said that he wants to go meet more pokémon I feel like they could do one more season. But again as you said everyone needs to accept change which is really good and I do agree with you that maybe one day we will see Ash and Pikachu. Hopefully a more groan older. Ash and Pikachu if he hasn't evolved it into a Raichu.
Thank you so much this made me smile 😊 I try my very best to get opinions across. I am so glad you and everyone else got what I was trying to see because episode also taught me a life lesson.
Ash also changed from a newbie to a full season Pokemon Trainer ( Pokemon champions ). From a guy who is clueless to always give motivation to others..
25 years of journey ended as indian pokemon was mine first anime...I'm glad pokemon showed anime is best compare to real humans...Pokémon miss u tnq for giving best childhood memories...
His final episode was on my birthday, so that message about change hit pretty hard for me. Just as it is a new year for Pokémon, it’ll be a new year for me as well. I only hope that even if I must change, my love for Pokémon will always be the same ❤
Huh it's the same lesson some of his other companions had to learn like Serena when she first cut her hair. Change is scary but it can be good, but you'll never know if you don't take the first step
One way I interpreted the shoes is... at the very beginning of his journey he wore the Pokemon League logo on his beloved cap - above him, as if he was looking up at the world and all the challenges to come. At the end of his journey when he finally puts on the new shoes, the logo is beneath him as if he's on top of the goals and obstacles he once only dreamed of surpassing. He's achieved what he originally set out to do, and now he's come to realise that there is still so much more for him to explore within the world and himself... just like humans and our ever-growing need to be better and live a fulfilling life
Another way that the hidden message could be translated is, that in the next TV series, if Ash makes an appearance that is, because of what I heard from a user here on UA-cam, he claims that he worked on some episodes of Pokémon Journeys, and that he together with the other members of staff decided to retire both Ash and Pikachu, and in a way he said that we sadly won't see any trace of Ash for the 3 or more years in the anime Another user, also claimed that the new series is going to take place 8 years in the future after the 'PWC' making Ash and the other characters around 18 or 20-23 years old, thus meaning that if they are going to be appearing in the new series, they are going to be young adults and who knows, probably we are going to see Ash and Serena together as a couple along with the others as couples as well Now I don't know if all of these rumours are true, but it seems so, I mean the games itself Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, the theme of these two games are past in Scarlet and future in Violet Now take this all what I just said with a grain of salt, although judging by the animation design that was in XY and XY&Z and with Tetsuo Yajima returning once again as the director of animation, leads me to believe that these rumours and what we've been saying all the way that Liko/Rika is related to Ash, no matter what Ash's Japanese VA has said before that both Liko/Rika and Roy do not have anything to do with the previous character, but in my opinion, in my humble opinion, I think that that is a marketing stunt done by both companies I always said and I even was confident that Pokémon the Series: Horizons is going to be taking place in another parallel universe or alternate universe, and that it is connected to Pokémon: XY and XY&Z, because we all know already how the last episode of XY&Z ended But again, take all of this what I just said here with a grain of salt, that is, until the series comes out on April
how pokemon SV is connected to XY...what happened in the last ep of xy was nothing that can prove that these two are connected...can u explain how XY is connected to SV...and yajima returning means nothing..there are more directors who worked in SM JN Legends Arceus etc etc
@@MohdShadab-qk9ho when I said connected, I actually meant in the same universe with Pokémon XY and XY&Z, based on it's animation, that's it, I didn't meant because Tetsuo Yajima is returning and I do know that the sound director of Sun & Moon is returning!
@@dardanqerkini1996 how can animation only can connect these two?... Apply some sense.. And after all XY universe is not different than old series universe... They all are connected... And even Gen 9 universe is the same, the thing is we will not see ash and Pikachu... But they will be there in the universe
@@MohdShadab-qk9ho XY and XY&Z are connected to OP, AG, DP and BW, while S&M (even though somehow Mega Evolution is present there and Ash gets excited, I can't explain this) together with Journeys exist in an alternate universe, with Pokémon having it's own Multiverse just like there are different Captain America's and Hulk's on different earth's, it's the same with Ash, where we have the Ash from the Original series up until XY&Z, however there are some inconsitenties in B&W, and then there is Ash which we see in S&M and Journey (although as I said earlier I can't explain how did Ash know about Mega Evolution in Alola, and the fact that his other companions except for Misty and Brock didn't appear) and then there is Ash from the Pokémon movies
@@dardanqerkini1996 then tell me if journeys ash is different from OG AG DP BW XY then how did dawn iris cilan Clemont gary etc were shown in journeys and ash knew them already and how did we see flashbacks in journeys of ash vs paul and ash vs gary vs alain.. And may vs dawn flashback in ep 105??..its all same brother... There is no multi verse in anipoke
One issue Ash hasnt beaten everyone. There's Virgil, Cameron, Diantha, Alain, & most importantly, Tobias. I get the feeling we'll see Ash in episodes as either easter egg character or as a cameo
The funniest thing to me that the flowers have both them ash and serena are started new journey on their own now maybe those two will see again paths together again whenever ash returns.
After the many adventures Ash and his Pikachu had, I seriously wish they pass the perfect torch to the new protagonists, seriously, I don’t think it’ll EVER feel the same if they start off the new journey with new protagonists and it’s just journeys 2.0
Remember my words we will see ash as a pokemon master in the 10th gen league or in the anime at some point. This was quite a beautiful journey but it's not over.
Another sweetener to this all ready fantastic teary eyed ending is that its very open ended. we'll get to see them again along with team rocket too maybe not directly in the new series but specials or even movies (which we had a lack of). In the distant blue sky special (alt timeline) we see that delia gives ash his infamous kanto hat (another sign of change). to me it felt like it was going to portray the canon (anime) ash in future title films/specials as the point of "i choose you" was a retelling of how ash and pikachu first met and yet his journey is the same as the main timeline ash. i may be wrong or just coping. but it feels like the move they may go for
It's sad to see Ash no longer being the main star of the series. Growing up, me and my siblings had gone through so much bad things, from abuse from our dad to having to be homeless for a few years, but yet this series always helped us forget whatever our horrible situation we were in and enjoy something. I know that the new main character could be good, but yet I feel like it won't be the same as Ash and Pikachu, learning new ways to approach a problem and always finding a way to make friends in many different ways. I know that change must be accepted, but that is if the change is for the better. You wouldn't accept a change that would lead you down a path that will lead to unhappiness, despair and various other negative emotions. I know that some people do accept the bad change because they think that change is good for them, like doing illegal drugs, manipulating others, ect, but a lot of people don't go down that path of change and instead, stay where they are while they wait for a better path. Change is everything, but which path you go down is all up to your choices and how you see it.
dude that was beautiful very well said!!..change is always good for the better, pokemon forever will be my fav anime, yet to disappoint me.. and only cause things are changing doesnt mean i have to stop watching.. we all live in a pokemon world and by golly im going to stay in that pokemon world forever.
Thank you for 24 years of memories, I will never forget you the rest of my life. Pokemon creaters pls bring Ash and Pikachu back for another amazing journey.
Ash journey didn't just end it is just starting because he is ready to uncover the secret of Pikachu if you remembered I think it is white and black first episode when a lighting strike Pikachu and the professor said Pikachu is related to a legendary electricity Pokémon with the new Pokémon horizon hinting towards the origins of legendary Pokemon's I won't be surprised if ash will return to be in the new team
Ash is actually leaving us. And even with pikachu aka my favourite cartoon character of all time. No other pikachu is as special as this one as we have seen the many adventures he and ash went through together.
Maybe next time we see Ash, he will have finally showed signs of ageing. Pikachu's never going to evolve, although I think he should have done so years ago, but within the Pokemon timeline, Ash has to be 19 years old at minimum. He's been to 8 different regions on top of the Battle Frontier and the Orange Islands. Assuming the Frontier and Islands combined took about a year of his life, each individual region would have taken the other 8 years.
Me: *Looks at thumbnail* Ah, yes! How could I not see it before! This 25 year old foreign cartoon was telling me to finish removing the invasive Multiflora Rose bushes this entire time!
Fun fact: in this episode Ash's Mom was standing beside Ash in his bed in the same pose Dawn was standing beside him in his bed in DP 191. This is not the first time Delia repeated Dawn's behaviour - Fun fact 2: Delia was watching his son sleeping in one of the earlier episodes (I assume it was JN 030) in the same manner Dawn was watching him sleeping in DP 191. Ridiculously enough, Ash repeated Johanna's phrase "That's when I worry the most!" on at least 2 occasions (DP 046 and DP 191). While amour and poke shine in your hearts, pearl has that subtle plotting by the creators of the anime. :)
You forgot that when Serena got to the Hoenn Region there was Cherry Blossom as well which maybe this is a hint of her returning in the Series!? Liko could meet Serena and wouldn't be awesome if Serena decides to join them in there travels! This would get Serena's fans excited to have her be in the series longer than she was in last time! If this happens I would totally be freaking out and really happy!
Man. I can't believe the journey is over. Ash and Pikachu have been a part of my life for so long. I still want to see their journey. I want to see the new journey start too! My kids will have this experience and ill have it with them! So it's a mixed bag of life. I can't wait to experience it all with my kiddos! To see them experience it as I did growing up. Man, I'm excited. I love being a dad.
I dont think that wont happen. Even tho i checked everywhere and they say that they will be replaced by his daughter and her friend. But i really do hope that they should come back. Its a 50-50% chance.
The crazy part is pikachu was number 25 in the Pokédex and the face of Pokémon then on the 25th anniversary they end ash and pikachus story for someone else to take over 😭
I hope so too I think that something like this would be a great role for As to take in this new series. I had a plan to make video like this before we found Ash was leaving haha
Damn so this is the last episode of Pokémon 😢… I’m 32 now … I started watching Pokémon back when it first came out when I was 7 and it was huge !! Pokémon cards , going straight home to catch the new episode after school . The first movie mewtwo strikes backs and the game Pokémon red blue ect… as a grown man with kids now I actually get to watch the the first season again because my 7 year old daughter likes it . We get to play pogo together and it’s very nostalgic to me 😢. It was and still is a part of my life and honestly think forever will be because of my kids ❤. Thank you 🙏
Hey man! We have the same number of subscribers! Congrats dude you're doing great, you deserve the blow up this video is experiencing! You're working so hard, I see you!
Hey thanks so much I really appreciate it, i've been making videos for long time on this channel so finally having this one do so well and it being the end of Ash's Journey feels so perfect to me i'm very grateful. Thanks once again it means a lot 😁
I wanna be the very best Like no one ever was. To catch them is my very test. To train them is my cause. I wanna travel across the land Searching far and wide All these pokemon to understand The power thats inside POKEMON Its you and me I know its my destiny! POKEMON Oh youre my best friend In a world we must defend POKEMON A heart so true I know our courage will pull us through Youll teach me and ill teach you PO KE MON GOTTA CATCH EM ALL POKEMON
When talking about "accepting changes" i started to think that they wanted us to accept the new series and the change of new people that we're not used to
Pokémon master: gotta catch ‘‘em all! Times change so now the new term of Pokémon master is befriending ‘em all. Interesting but tbh the Pokémon master will always be RED
Also it could be said "Moving Forward" like 'Change'. I'm hoping the 'writers' will 'move forward' and make a series with growth (I pray they leave behind the one age forever). I think many series don't change because the fans freak out from change. But I think with Pokemon, we have been waiting for change, an evolution to beautiful and deeper Pokemon series. They can always go back but for us who are still alive who originally grew up with it, I think we want to see more and in depth stories. Kids can handle it too, they don't all have to be simple repeated stories, kids like growth and a good story that can grow with them and appreciate more later in life and watch it over and over again. Here's to Moving Forward.
"It's not about the destination, but the journey."
Just because Ash and Pikachu's journey isn't in focus, doesn't mean it will end. Same goes with everyone we meet in life. Friends come and go, but they will forever be part of our lives.
so heart waming
im gonna cry
Together Forever from the Pokemon sound track is literally the definition of this episode
Change... .its hard
All things have to end sometime
Being raised by a physically and emotionally abusive father, ash and pikachu helped me find some joy throughout my childhood. Seeing ash finally rest, brings me immense joy and a sense of melancholy. Thanks for all the positive moments as a little boy!
I'm sorry this happened to you and i'm so glad and happy how much joy Ash and Pikachu brought to your life as well as all of ours he's done so much for so many people we will miss our loveable duo so much!

Pikachus last fight broke my heart
Can we just agree that even though the series has ended, in our heart no matter what age we are, Ash will remains young and is still out there on his journey to explore the world… forever
No ash is hitting puberty finally 😅 because he is no longer main protagonist.
I got other things to worry about
it's a nice sentiment, but i think ash's failure to age is a weakness in the series.
@@MusicalRaichu ash did age slowly reversed
He looked older in season 1 than he locked at the end
@@ChrisAtheist actually the first couple of seasons had a rough chronology, at least in English (don't know about the original). but this was soon abandoned.
It all makes sense now. You can also add the fact that the Team Rocket always feels awful whenever they're blasting off but in this last episode they embraced it. They changed. Another thing is that Ash for the first time asked one of his Pokémon if they wanted to go back with him on a journey and it was Pidgeot. The message of the last episode was clearly about change.
I just got chills. Oh my GOSH
i literally gasped.@@eglol
😂 that was the least important part of his journey
@@pn2294 No its not. Ho Oh should be the hallmark of the ending, just as the beginning. They the creator missed this
Would be good if Ash went to live up in the mountains with Ho-oh
@@wingsnad the point is that it’s not an ending. We just won’t be following Ash anymore.
Ash is still going to be having adventures
Farewell Ash and Pikachu. We will always miss you both!
Forever and Always!👑
Thanks Lord for being in my heart; in Jesus name, amen. Jesus
Goodbye Ash and Pikachu we will miss so much ❤
Thanks Lord for being in my heart; in Jesus name, amen. Jesus
Yo, that’s real. Good luck to you and your future as I will do the same. 🎉🎉
Thanks Lord for being in my heart; in Jesus name, amen. Jesus
The shoes coukd symblozed that he was still figuring out what to do at the end of current journey, the changing of them is the sign he's figured it out and set out for a new adventure.
Agree 💯
Honestly, having the final episode of Ash's journey be about change is quiet poetic for the character that has been a 10 year old for 25 years...
this episode made me shed a couple tears. its been so long since I've seen pokemon, but to see it end, especially with a bunch of character throwbacks, AND the return of Pidgeot to add to it feels so different. absolutely amazing show, thank Ash for everything, my childhood was made because of this show. hurts to see it end, but everything needs an end. goodbye Ash

Thank you Ash Ketchum. As a legend, you deserve a nice long rest. Its only a mater of time before i see you again my Friend.

Honestly, I never thought that an anime of creatures would hold so much lore and be so deep
This brings many tears.
And there's still plot's left for Ash:
1st.
If Ash caught any new Paldean pokemon, I'd want him to catch Armorouge, Skelederge, Quaquaval, & Koraidon
And for older gen pokemon, I'd want him to have Gyarados, Mewtwo, Tyranitar, Ho-Oh, Flygon, Salamence, Gardevoir, Latias & Latios, Rayquaza, Abomasnow, Zoroark, Braviary, Zekrom, Volcanion, Tyrantrum, Male Pyroar, Avalugg, Kommo-o, Golisopod, Zeraora, Corviknight, Rillaboom, Inteleon, Cinderace, Urshifu, & Zacian
I'll look forward to Ash's return someday. Till we meet Ash & Pikachu someday
Honestly hope they return again, it’s going to be hard not seeing ash in the new anime, they should of kept him on and made a spin off series for the new characters, similar to chronicles and origins

End of an Era ❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you Ash... We grew up with u.. but u stayed 10year old for 25years 😂
I mean, some of us are just little kids in an older body.
He became the very best, like no one ever was
I was actually thinking about how I loved the older cartoons so much all the way to x y and z and having grown up with so many seasons pre existing without going completely stale, I kinda thought it would always be this way.
There was a dang rainbow. So no ho oh.... Got me a little sad. He'll be back doe.
He did say that. Maybe ash, will be in the next series or next gen, in some way or form.
Thank you ash and pikachu for making my childhood best
The end of our era
Thankyou for everything

25 years of journey ended as indian pokemon was mine first anime...I'm glad pokemon showed anime is best compare to real humans...Pokémon miss u tnq for giving best childhood memories...
His final episode was on my birthday, so that message about change hit pretty hard for me. Just as it is a new year for Pokémon, it’ll be a new year for me as well.
I only hope that even if I must change, my love for Pokémon will always be the same ❤
Where can you view the last episode
Huh it's the same lesson some of his other companions had to learn like Serena when she first cut her hair. Change is scary but it can be good, but you'll never know if you don't take the first step
One way I interpreted the shoes is... at the very beginning of his journey he wore the Pokemon League logo on his beloved cap - above him, as if he was looking up at the world and all the challenges to come.
At the end of his journey when he finally puts on the new shoes, the logo is beneath him as if he's on top of the goals and obstacles he once only dreamed of surpassing. He's achieved what he originally set out to do, and now he's come to realise that there is still so much more for him to explore within the world and himself... just like humans and our ever-growing need to be better and live a fulfilling life
Another way that the hidden message could be translated is, that in the next TV series, if Ash makes an appearance that is, because of what I heard from a user here on UA-cam, he claims that he worked on some episodes of Pokémon Journeys, and that he together with the other members of staff decided to retire both Ash and Pikachu, and in a way he said that we sadly won't see any trace of Ash for the 3 or more years in the anime
Another user, also claimed that the new series is going to take place 8 years in the future after the 'PWC' making Ash and the other characters around 18 or 20-23 years old, thus meaning that if they are going to be appearing in the new series, they are going to be young adults and who knows, probably we are going to see Ash and Serena together as a couple along with the others as couples as well
Now I don't know if all of these rumours are true, but it seems so, I mean the games itself Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, the theme of these two games are past in Scarlet and future in Violet
Now take this all what I just said with a grain of salt, although judging by the animation design that was in XY and XY&Z and with Tetsuo Yajima returning once again as the director of animation, leads me to believe that these rumours and what we've been saying all the way that Liko/Rika is related to Ash, no matter what Ash's Japanese VA has said before that both Liko/Rika and Roy do not have anything to do with the previous character, but in my opinion, in my humble opinion, I think that that is a marketing stunt done by both companies
I always said and I even was confident that Pokémon the Series: Horizons is going to be taking place in another parallel universe or alternate universe, and that it is connected to Pokémon: XY and XY&Z, because we all know already how the last episode of XY&Z ended
But again, take all of this what I just said here with a grain of salt, that is, until the series comes out on April
how pokemon SV is connected to XY...what happened in the last ep of xy was nothing that can prove that these two are connected...can u explain how XY is connected to SV...and yajima returning means nothing..there are more directors who worked in SM JN Legends Arceus etc etc

I like how Ash's shoes colors match the new set of adventurers in Horizons.
One issue Ash hasnt beaten everyone. There's Virgil, Cameron, Diantha, Alain, & most importantly, Tobias. I get the feeling we'll see Ash in episodes as either easter egg character or as a cameo
I will never forget the launch of pkmn, I will never forget the joy that it gave me. Thank you so much
The funniest thing to me that the flowers have both them ash and serena are started new journey on their own now maybe those two will see again paths together again whenever ash returns.
After the many adventures Ash and his Pikachu had, I seriously wish they pass the perfect torch to the new protagonists, seriously, I don’t think it’ll EVER feel the same if they start off the new journey with new protagonists and it’s just journeys 2.0
befriending and or understanding the pokemon leading to being able to work together in any situation even without a pokeball = pokemon master
Remember my words we will see ash as a pokemon master in the 10th gen league or in the anime at some point. This was quite a beautiful journey but it's not over.
I still can't believe that ash's journey is over😭
It's just too much to take in 😫
Ash battle team rocket alone just like how he did it for the first time..awwwww nostalgia
Good bye ASH KETCHUM and PIKACHU you guys were like my best friends 💗
One thing I never forget never ever give up on your dream until you succeed it
Another sweetener to this all ready fantastic teary eyed ending is that its very open ended. we'll get to see them again along with team rocket too maybe not directly in the new series but specials or even movies (which we had a lack of).
Thank you Ash & Pikachu! 😢
Some weeks ago the director already revealed what an pokemon master is so we knew shortly before this episode if you readed that article/interview
I'd like to think that the mountain in the background is Mt. Silver and Ash is going there just like Red did in the games after becoming champion.
Ash never ages, he will still remains 10
@denys vision that gonna change because Kunihiko Yuyama will retires.

Ah, yes! How could I not see it before! This 25 year old foreign cartoon was telling me to finish removing the invasive Multiflora Rose bushes this entire time!
So Emotional! THANK YOU ASH AND PIKACHU!
I always thought Akans and Koffing should've made one more appearance with Team Rocket.
Fun fact: in this episode Ash's Mom was standing beside Ash in his bed in the same pose Dawn was standing beside him in his bed in DP 191. This is not the first time Delia repeated Dawn's behaviour -
Fun fact 2: Delia was watching his son sleeping in one of the earlier episodes (I assume it was JN 030) in the same manner Dawn was watching him sleeping in DP 191.
I said same thing too.

If that this happens then that would Blow everyone's minds even break the internet for sure 😳
Let's see if it happens in episode 1
I hope that happens.
Also i want to see Ash with Serena getting together in the near future.
I dont think that wont happen. Even tho i checked everywhere and they say that they will be replaced by his daughter and her friend. But i really do hope that they should come back. Its a 50-50% chance.
I know he doesn't look it, but that's the age he should be now... what, did each region take a month?
The crazy part is pikachu was number 25 in the Pokédex and the face of Pokémon then on the 25th anniversary they end ash and pikachus story for someone else to take over 😭
Perhaps if he returns in the future, Ash will be a mentor figure to a new generation. That's something to think about.
I hope so too I think that something like this would be a great role for As to take in this new series. I had a plan to make video like this before we found Ash was leaving haha

When talking about "accepting changes" i started to think that they wanted us to accept the new series and the change of new people that we're not used to
Poignant. Unfortunately, not everyone will be as understanding.
Being on the go for 26 years, coming home and still being 10 xD
ASH REMAINS 10 FOREVER ♾️ OR HE COULD BE AT LEAST 11 or 13
Good bye Ash!! Thank you for all the memories you made all our childhood special from the moment we saw you on that small tv you've come a long way❤❤
Pokémon master: gotta catch ‘‘em all! Times change so now the new term of Pokémon master is befriending ‘em all. Interesting but tbh the Pokémon master will always be RED
Red sucks lol
This video got me all choked up... I think I'll go rewatch master quest for a while
Also it could be said "Moving Forward" like 'Change'.
