- So the new minelab Equinox 700 and 900 detectors have been revealed.
this video has been shortened from the original so it gets straight to what you want to know it can do.
Is it worth upgrading from the 600 / 800?
you decide 🙂👍

Looks like all the 600/800 issues have been sorted, but that I have one or know these issues. Thanks for sharing Jason mate. 😃
no worries Deano. 👍. looks a good machine bit ill stick to the 800 for now 👍

touch wood I've never had an issue with my 800. it gets treated better than the wife and kids lol
I'm confused I thought the mantacore was going to be the new nox. This definitely better as it be cheaper than the mantacore so glad I'm waiting. As now I want this one. Great one for putting this up Jason 😊👍
you welcome Jamie. I think the manticore was to replace the CTX and that they were always going to do an upgraded nox. i won't be upgrading any time soon. Will have to save. I could sell my simplex and nox bundle to fund it, but I'd like to keep tje nox800 as a back up or something my lad could use at some point 👍
I'm excited, great news, Minelab just addressed the Equinox 600 & 800 quality issues, doesn't get any better. I own the Vanquish 540, it's a great detector but I been wanting to upgrade, looks like I'll be sticking with Minelab, I'll certainly be buying a 700 or 900. Minelab rocks
I'll stick to my 800 for now. only had it 2 years and still learning it lol. especially as the vid numbers go up to 99 now compared to the 600 / 800 numbers of 49. looks impressive though. its getting a lot of nokta fan boys rattled lol
Nice! Like my friend👍👍
🙂👍
The 900 is an Awesome machine. I get mine on the 23rd can not wait to take it for a rip !!!
nice one mate. I cant justify spending the extra money and upgrading from my 800. it does what I need it to. if anything happens to the 800, then maybe I'll get the 900 👍
@@TheDarkKnightDetectorist You could accidently drop it off a cliff LOL
Great machines
yep. not enough between them to male me upgrade from the nox800 though
thanks for info
your welcome. sharing is caring 🙂👍
Trying to catch up with the legend as far as features and build goes
if you are happy with a machine and it does what you need it to do, then why change ? 👍
@@TheDarkKnightDetectorist sticking with my 800 for now. I had preordered the Manticore but changed my mind as they haven’t shown it to be waterproof. So I got 2 Legends for several hundred less then one manticore. Now both Kathy and I have machines we can take in the water.👋
I just hope they built them sturdier. That seems to be the biggest problem with the 800.💖
it looks mire study Cynthia. they don't say if they made the coils tougher or nothing though 🤣
legend
I don't think any modern metal detectors work great straight out the box. It will be a year before the firmware is up to the job. What gets me is the price of them. Good vid Jason
£799 for the 700, £1,099 for the 900 is what I've seen on some places 👍
Sending my support
thank you 😊
what to do with the 600 that leaks? It seems to me that the owners of 600 800 should simply exchange for 700 and 900 for free
I want one.
you be better off waiting for the 600 and 800 to drop in price Jo. you'll be able to pick up a used one in great condition for peanuts 👍
How do you switch vibration on and off
id imagine it will be in the controller settings on the bottom of the menu
I went to sea for two years and a week ago it leaked 600! Now I understand that I only have a year of warranty left! and then you still can’t go to sea! It’s not normal that this happens!
@user-eq6tf4dk8g the new nox series are designed and made better and shouldn't leak. even then I don't risk mine under water. I only go as deep as the controller unit. if you want to do under water detecting, then I'd advise getting the excalibur 2. 👍
You didn't answer my question. Will I still find gold items with the 700?
all machines will find you gold, it's just that the 700 like it's predecessor the 600 doesn't have a GOLD mode for prospecting 👍
@@TheDarkKnightDetectorist Thank you for your prompt answer! I am probably getting the 700. 👍
Would you recommend the 700 in the UK as the 900 has the gold nugget mode which would be better in Australia I imagine… both machines look mint .. great video matey
700 and 900 , new brand ya..
👍
I wish the arm cuff logo was colored
I'd be happy with it like it is. no different to the other nox 👍
hello anyone can tell me what's a maxsimam depth serche for equinoc 700 thanks
all depends on the ground conditions and size of the object 👍
@@TheDarkKnightDetectorist thank you very much Thank you for your information, but I read the information says it works up to 5 meters deep if I have a large piece such as gold in the depth of 3 meters can identify me?
@dyarzangana9604 I think 5 METERS is an over exaggeration there. maybe 5 ft, but definitely NOT 5 meters
@@TheDarkKnightDetectorist ow thank you again what divise you recomand for me work morthan 3meters our more
@dyarzangana9604 if you want more than 3 meters, you'll need ground penatrating sonar like archaeologists use.
nobody I know that does detecting would think of digging more than 3 foot
What’s the price ?
apparently on some uk sites its £799 for the 700, £1,099 for the 900 👍
Wondering what they are going to be asking for price? Looks like I'm going to be cashing in all my clad and then some 😆 🤣
UK prices are apparently £799 for the 700, £1,099 for the 900 👍
What settings go the deepest?
the slower the recovery speed and the higher the sensitivity you can go before it gets too chattery.
on the nox800, I know someone who has their recovery speed on 1 and swings very very slow 👍
@@TheDarkKnightDetectorist so the mode your in doesn't really matter? I have a 900 by the way...
@mandovapehater6988 the deepest mode is field mode 👍
@@TheDarkKnightDetectorist one or two? Or either?
@mandovapehater6988 I always use field one, and even with the coiltek 10x5 on, I've had small pellet like targets deeper than 15 inches 👍.
if you got highly mineralised ground, you could try beach mode.
I really don't see the difference between my 800 and the 900. "You're going to find more" he says. The only way you find more is only by going out there as much as you can everyday.
if it ain't in the ground, we ain't gonna find it are we 👍
@@christianh7863 the target range to 99 should help separate the trash for the good. pain when shorties come up the same as a roman 😕👍
Check the video where he's got an iron nail on top of a gold ring. The nox 900 gets it. The 80 doesn't. In iron infested areas such as settlements, this could be the difference between potentially a gold hammered or a bit of junk.
I know it's me,,but things are getting way too complicated for me, Feature here and adjust that,,it would give me a headache just turning it on 🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. at least they think about it being able to be used straight out if the box . thays a big plus for these more advanced machines. I very rarely change things on my 800 once it got it set good for me 👍
@@TheDarkKnightDetectorist Give it a few years and the things will be talking to you,, "Bottle top Bottle top--Coin Coin Coin" or something, or actual pictures like a mini tv screen. Long gone are the days of a "beep" so ya dig it. 😂👍
Great glad i just bought the 800 would of waited. The fact it collapse easy is big plus but copied off quest range.
what they've done is actually copy the tele-knox stem so you don't have to buy after market bits. the 800 is still a great machine mate. I won't be upgrading anytime soon. sure as hell not going to buy a brand new release just to get more views and subscribers like some will. 👍
Bet it still finds foil like a bitch. Not sure if it’s worth the upgrade from the 800, seems to be getting more complicated and will end up like a deus that unless your using it 3 times a week can never figure out what the tones mean.
yep. I get out once a week and only usually for 3-4 hours tops. if people are happy with their 800, probably best to stick to it 👍
@@TheDarkKnightDetectorist yes , but i want vibration for scuba detecting on nox
@@TheDarkKnightDetectorist I’m not that lucky, I get out about 6 or 7 times a year for a few hours each time, absolutely love it when I’m out, but was getting knowhere with the deus, no idea to dig or not, the 800 I have is at least workable just by switching it on and ground balancing.
⚓️👍🧲
🙂👍
Need to put a 5 year warranty on it. My 800 flooded 5 months after warranty run out so im basically $899 just gone down the drain. Thanks minelab but NO THANKS ! You owe me $899 !!
