One of my favorite joke titles for the sequel is "Fast 10: Your Seatbelts.
They actually used a pun like that for the Spanish version of Fast Five. "Rapidos y Furiosos Sin Control". You see, phonetically 5 and "Sin Co" sound the same, so the title was saying 5 while also saying the movie title at the same time.

They literally had the perfect ending to the franchise in Furious 7 when paying tribute to Paul Walker. It was sad, beautiful, and satisfying.
At least in this movie. They still respected his character. He joins for the family bbq and its a nice moment…. But the rest of the movie ruins it

F9 included every single spoiler and anything worth a damn in the trailer. If you've watched the trailer, BELIEVE ME, you've already watched the whole movie. There is nothing else it gives you.
thats where i feel so safe watching marvel trailer and teasers, its hard to judge MCU movie from their teaser, they all look decent to great without revealing whole plot and major details!! HOPE OTHER STUDIO LEARNS THAT your biggest IP's dont need big(3.5mins long, revealing act 3 scenes) trailers, give them crumbs then teaser with no plot details and then trailer with no spoiler and major details!

I remember when Dom was defending his small little restaurant from beach boys fighting because one of them picked Tuna over a double cheese with fries for $2.95 with a extreme yet believable crew that does small heists by raiding trucks for their computers which required fast cars that he also raced on the side you know...Fast & Furious...The same guy who a few years later was out running nuclear submarines and using EMPs in the back of his car to fight global supervillains who share the same universe with Hobbs and Shaw fighting "Black Superman" the hell happened? I dont care about the outrageous physics but for the love of god make it a different franchise like imagine the next John Wick had him fighting Transformers and somehow even that would make more sense

Such a perfect statement to describe this movie. I never once cared when watching all the action scene. The mentality was "ok so what ridiculous bullshit are they gonna do now"
Who would have thought this all started with a movie where Vin Diesel and his criminal crew attack and steal trucks. And he went to prison after beating a rival racer to near death. And now he's the main hero. I mean they introduced Shaw as a violent murderer and made him the protagonist. This series just doesn't care.

One of the reasons I've always loved the Doctor Who series is that you never get to that stage where you're numb to the dangers faced by The Doctor. This is a sci-fi series with a protagonist that has survived over a thousand years yet you're still more worried for his safety than that of Dom in FF9.
That's the beauty of Regeneration in Doctor Who. Even though the character himself is essentially immortal, your favourite Doctor can still "die"

The brother character was created so that they could bring Mia back into the fold while still having a (small) reason for Brian to stay out of everything. If one of them had to stay behind, it had to be Brian. For Mia, it really was a family matter. It's far from perfect, but they have a brutally tough situation to navigate with Paul Walker's death and not wanting to kill or replace his character. I'm cool with it.
Naw its all horseshit at this point. Once mia and Brian left, that should have been the end of their character. When Han died, that should have been the end of his character.
They all wanted to get that pay check, so they destroyed the franchise to do it.
Watching F&f go down in flames is embarrassing at this point.

I like it! It sounds like the final scene of the 80s Hospital drama, "St. Elsewhere", whereby it was revealed that the whole entire series of episodes that the audience had been watching all along took place within the mind of an autistic boy, who was gazing at a model of a Hospital in a scene from outta nowhere at the very end. Apparantly then, everything that had happened over the years of series was all from the boys imagination!
And actually the dad was playing with the hot wheels for the first 5 films to show what the kid can do with his new toys.
"The movie goes at 500mph but has all the thrills of standing still." That perfectly sums up my feelings about this franchise since 6. Seen them all, liked 2 of them. Won't be seeing this one.
I liked them all untill 8. 8 sucked. Hobbs and Shaw also. And this one aswell. The franchise ended with 7. 7 has the perfect ending.

I respect what they do in 7 for Brian. But keeping that character alive for franchises sake by just doing nothing and sometimes mentioning him doing absolutely nothing while the others going to literally space for the sake of family, it's straight disrespectful for his character and Paul's legacy

They don't make movies like they used to...never has that been so true when movies like this exist. I've been on an older movie binge lately from the 80s and 90s...and you realize the special effects might not be as huge....but...they are better movies...my opinion..if you don't agree..its OK
Completely agree. I recently watched the Police Story film collection (Jackie Chan Hong Kong action flicks), and man. The stunts were amazing and still within the realm of possibility. No CGI. All in camera. And somehow still grounded and fun.
That really says something about the way older films were made. They had no cgi to rely on so they had to bring that emotion to audiences by focusing more on how the story is told and using practical effects while experimenting with new ones.
No it's true. The reason most movies suck today is because they have become just another product to sell. They rush them and pack them and get them out quickly. They give little time to write the story, work out the kinks, patch up the CGI. The product has to come out by the release date so the next one can come sooner. Back then movies were made for the art. Sequels took longer to develop so the writer or director can get them right.
to be fair the movies you’re probably watching are the ones that stood the test of time not the easy cash grab ones like F9. Plenty of just as good and better movies are still made and we rarely match the worst those decades had to offer.

The whole thing with his brother messing with his engine completely goes away from what the franchise was built on. In the first movie they talked about how dom killed a man with a wrench because he crashed his dad killing him
but that still happens. and it turns out because the man was a jackass who punched Dom for no reason after Jakob almost started a fight. Also that guy still killed Jack Toretto. but the fucking with the engine thing certainly didnt help.
Here’s how you make the fast franchise fun. Take a shot anytime something happens that should have killed a character but didnt

They're more OP than superheroes and have more plot armour though. Just look at infinity war and endgame.

This is the only series that I'm OK with it just being fun mindless action.
My problem is, the earlier movies were just unrealistic but possible….Action movies are always unrealistic. The events and stunts in This movie are just downright impossible. And they try hard to make it seem like it makes sense. That’s what makes this movie bad

It's like, they know what they are. Just dumb, fun, kinda corny, over the top action movies. And for some reason, I'm perfectly OK with that.

Fast and Furious 10: An Alien Race comes down to attack the Earth, and Dom and the crew defeat them because of family.
Fast and Furious 11: The built up crossover between the Fast and Furious Crew and the Transformers.
Fast and Furious 12: Cipher returns using Aliens and Time Travel to try and remove the Fast and Furious out of existence.
The next movie could be called FX, as "effects" and then they do a team up with Transformers against the Decepticons in a race to win the Earth.
They can do still MANY sequels:
Fast 10 in space
Fast 11: Dom in the future (ft homeboy Doc Emmett Brown)
Fast 12: multiverse with opposite evil twin Fast family
F13: Time Travel
F14: Space The Final Frontier

I feel that the fifth movie was as far as they could have go without been seen too unrealistic.

Honestly, the last one I saw was Fast 5. I think. The one where they drag a safe through a city. After that I didn't really care for the direction they were going. However i'll admit, though I liked the street racing focus of the older ones I don't think they would be able to do 8+ sequels without going stale.
The first movie was about an undercover cop who joins the street racing scene the only movie that actually focused on racing was Tokyo drift the rest of the movies were more about family and action with some racing as the series went on its always been more about the driving and family tbh

it depends.....if you are ok with a movie that's just unrealistic fun (like cancel, not suspend, disbelief) it'll be great.
Fast 10 : Dom and his brother Jacob will nullify gravity to reach outer space and defeat the guardians of the galaxy to get their 3rd brother Drax (Dave Bautista)to compete their family
FX: Dom and his family have to go up against an invading alien race. Pun intended.
I will not let them live it down if they do a Jurassic World/Fast 10 crossover and don’t call it “The Past of the Furious”

Like I said it's my opinion.
Pros:
-Some cute moments with Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez
-acrion scenes and stunts are fun to watch
-John Cena is actually a good badguy in this move
-has a sad opening to a movie
-Ronan and Tej being an awesome comedic Duo ever since Fred and George
-has hilarious moments
-Dom's son looks SOOO freaking adorable 😊
-Han Lue returning
Cons:
-Has logic and physics that makes 0 sense but that doesn't bother me too much
-a tiny bit too short but again doesn't bother me that much
