The Making of the Fast and the Furious Saga was a Sh*t Show

  • Making a family is hard. Let’s talk about how difficult it was to make The Fast and the Furious Saga, from Vin Diesel walking away from the franchise (2 Fast 2 Furious), to Justin Lin fighting for a diverse cast (Tokyo Drift), or James Wan overcoming the death of Paul Walker (Furious 7), and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s feuds with Vin Diesel and Tyrese Gibson (The Fate of the Furious).
Correction: Ja Rule did not ask for $30 million. It was for an unknown amount still considered too expensive for director John Singleton.

I knew Vin was jealous of Tyrese, even though 2 fast wasnt as revered as the first one Tyrese had a lot of appeal and added a lot to that sequel; his character's demeanor strays so far away from how "hard" he was in his first appearance in the series. Was watching this today, which happens to by daughter's birthday, and had been not long before looking through the photo memories generation by iPhone since when she was an infant. To say the moment that montage of him began with his baby girl hit hard would be apt. Then someone thought it would be a good idea to start cutting onions in my house at the exact same moment. Timing.

Yeah that part got me too. Seeing him with his daughter. I have two girls now and it made me choke up a little thinking about them having to go through something like that.

Pitch black really is a very good film one of my favorite
It had such a special vibe
    Fear, comical, action, tension,
Bad ass dark hero, its all there

Really enjoyed this! There was a lot of interesting behind the scenes info I’d never heard.

Man I remember when Paul Walker died you couldn't get away from it. When ever I turned on my Xbox 360 there he was all over the dashboard

Man, that ending did not age well at all. Lin walked off set and Dwayne Johnson wants no part of the franchise, and honestly I can not blame either one. Vin got that sweet taste of success and let it go straight to his head, then forgot where he came from and who made him. He may claim to be "all about the people", but with how shitty he's been behind the scenes, you couldn't tell. Hell, even a very vocal small percentage of the fan base are turning their backs on the movies and those numbers are rising.
Me? I'm far too invested to just not watch this train wreck and will be there to watch it too the bitter end.

I watched Fast 9 and felt like it was a waste of time. Heck, I couldn't even finish Hobbs and Shaw. The movies changed from car action movies and police chases, to a cheesy superhero movie where the director is the main character.

Wouldn’t surprise me if the Rock shows up for the finale film which is supposed to be part 2 to Fast X since DC probably pissed him off even more.

Mamoa is the new rock anyway. The rock over saturated the audience pool by doing too much too quick and people are now tired of seeing him.
