Sometimes I hate getting out of bed in the morning...but, so damn lucky that I can! Wake up and don't let the damn little things bother you...you are so lucky to have a great car such as that BMW!
Well work hard and stop complaining about how shit you’re life is. Things aren’t givin to you in life you work for it also. The car isn’t that expensive
What happens to the blind spot warning when you are in congested street traffic and the activation speed is set 5mph....it will be blinking non-stop and you'll complain its blinking too much.
AC and be coded off. Blind Spot can be coded to a very low speed to be activated. Brake dust, pads can be changed. Sport mode can be coded to start in sport mode. Trunk can be coded to close via remote. 5 things I hate about my X5 solved. That's what I did to mine. Hope it helps.
Minh Dao i had it coded when i picked it up in 2015. Ac was coded to remember last setting and still doesnt do it. Blind spot is coded for the slowest speed possible already (17mph) i believe. As far as i know you cant code it to remember sport mode on start up. The remote trunk coding worked. And as far as break pads any recommendations on some that performs well and is low dust?
In terms of starting in sport mode, I use the bimmercode app. You had to code it in two different places for it to work. Brake pads, I run OEM because I have satin bronze wheels and brake dust doesn't stick to satin finishes. But you can get ceramic pads. Here's a link. You might loose some bite in braking since it's a harder pad but might be good looking into. www.ecstuning.com/News/BMW_F15_X5_Akebono_Brake_Pads_24182/
1 You're right, we all hate BMW break pads, they go with those for quietness and stopping power, but can be easily upgraded to ceramic. 2 yeah agree again, it should remember that setting and AC shouldn't come one when you press Auto, but it does so to keep your car at the temperature you selected, so it's not like it'll blow cold air. 3 Agree again, but this one like the previous 2 can be coded out. 4, running your car on sport mode causes excesive wear and you shouldn't be driving around like that, your kind of being needy here. And 5, they do that so you don't accidentally close the door on someone's neck while you have the key in your pocket and something pressing against it, but it should have a combination of key presses for this
I hate that my gas cap locks/ unlocks with the car. Here in Atlanta people love to jack BMWs at the gas pumps and I assume its because it's easy to assume the car is unlocked when the person is pumping gas. Here is my routine to pump gas........ 1. Get out of my car. 2. Open gas cap. 3. Lock car so it is secure while I'm pumping gas (especially since my gas cap is on the passenger side which I also hate so it could be easy for someone to jump in the driver's side and me not realize). 4. Unlock the car again after I have my receipt so I can close the gas cap. Then get in and drive off. LOL I also agree with the car not staying in the mode you left it in. But it is undeniable that this car is a beast and so much fun to drive. I love my x5 so much!
Two of your concerns are easily fixed with just a little knowledge on how to save your profile settings. The AC powering on and Sport mode reverting to Comfort, are settings you can update to however you like. Brake dust is impossible to avoid. Blind spot detection is a valid complaint. Looks like you have the tailgate figured out. It's a nice looking BMW with those blacked out wheels.
Nice video. I have a 2012 X5 so some of the features yours has weren't available when mine came out. How sensitive is the front passenger seat belt warning in yours? I can't set my briefcase on the front passenger seat without it yelling at me to buckle it in. Love the idea of coding the car to fold the mirrors in when you lock it. I tested the new 530e and it does that stock.
I coded my 2013 X5d using the carly by Bmw pro app on my phone.. super easy . Just buy the app and a obd2 adapter (I used the carly brand adapter but I think a cheaper adapter would work) the app was only 40 bucks.. it coded the mirrors and window close n open with the key, the seat belt warning , added the digital speedometer, codes the comfort access if your car is equipped with it. And a lot of other stuff.
I think you may be confusing blind spot assistance with cross traffic alert which is only available when backing up. If you shift your car into reverse you can see triangles in the two top corners that show cross traffic warning. From what ive gathered, theres no audible tones though like the systems used in Infinitis
Love my 2016x5. As others have posted, multiple coding options exist. Nice looking color wheel combo. Agree on the tail gate. I leave the mirrors out as a fender to keep pedestrians from trying to squeeze by in tight spots. Or parking too close-hate that. I'm getting the CLAR platform in late 2018/2019. The M-performance chip is money well spent FYI.
Hey man, thanks for the great video! Was just wondering, Im thinking buying a similar car now 2017 (used) as I found a really good deal but really trying to figure out whether X5 is a reliable car and requires a lot of servicing, repairs, etc. Could your please advise if you have had/have any issues with it while operating it and/or any other recommendations you might have that I can address when doing the viewing. Thanks!
Wow such measly complaints. Grow the hell up. If you hate the car so much why don’t you build one for your self. Why did you even purchase the vehicle in the first place. A corvette a x5 and a nice home wow your life is so so hard. We have bigger problems upon us right now and the only thing you can worry about is Brake dust. I own two seven series a x5 like the one your complaining about and a Range Rover sport. Do you hear me crying? Appreciate what you’ve accomplished.
He's only showing some thing about the car he doesnt agree with. How is he complaining about his emtire life and making these problems bigger than what's going on in the world? It's a car channel what do u expect him to talk about? He gotta be critical
The whole blind spot thing surprises me. Do they not factor in city and residential neighborhoods? Weird. As for the a/c and the comfort mode, that’s standard in most vehicles unfortunately. My Fusion does that too.
Shawn Castator it's just so annoying I got to turn the ac off when I don't want it on. Just wish the designers would use common sense when building these vehicles
How do you get it coded for the folding mirrors and the trunk. I agree with you on all fronts. Especially blind spot detection and the trunk remote closure.
Blindspot assist only activates at 30mph because speeds under that it is safe to look over your shoulder and correct any steering input caused by doing so. Over 30mph it is not safe to do so hence blind spot assist helps. So the car isn't at fault the user is for not understanding it's intended function
How is it safe at 30mph? You ever been sideswipe or hit at 30mph? It is not “safe” by any means. You are correct on 1 thing though, the car isn’t at fault, the engineer that designed this car is.
My previous car a 2015 Nissan Altima SL has a blind assist that actually rings a sound if you are switching or moving lanes and another approaching car is in that lane averting collision. Also has heated steering wheel and remote start. A 2015 sedan! How my 2018 BMW X5 doesnt have these standard features is beyond me. Very annoying
crying about break dust.. and parking assist... change breaks to ceramic.. parking assist doesn't turn til you start rollin around 10-15 mph.. c'mon man smh.. hell, you might as well trade the bitch in lol..
Bernie Fen yea you are right i am complaining about minor stuff. But even 3 million dollar cars have little things here and there that people dont like. These are just things i dont like, but to some one else it might not matter
I noticed your navigation maps is coded in green letting you know the traffic flow. I'm having a hard time getting my maps to display this information. Any suggestions? I scheduled an appt in 2 weeks, not sure if I have to have the maps updated or something..
I absolutely am happy with my x5. But there is no such thing as a perfect car. Even million dollar ones people have things they don't like about it. I'm sure in what ever vehicle you drive there is something that you don't like about it
AW305.....whats your tire setup, thinking about putting 22s on my x5 but was told that you had to stay extremely close to the stock wheel height or your warranty could possibly be voided
Nice video bro I could definitely see this being annoying after awhile. Question how did you get the coding to get the trunk to open that's super Is convenient in my opinion
The blind spot problem is actually a serious problem to people who know what a life saver that is and how much easier your driving is when it works no matter the speed you’re driving... is there a way to code it??
I'm praying I wake up with those problem lol.. ama head out now , I gotta get catch the bus
😂🤣😂
😂😂
Me 2 brother
😂😂😂
Your AC always pops on because you have it on Auto
Pretty lame reasons to hate a good car .
Too fussy
For real
Shaking my head i wish i had the x5 right now
I feel you dude. Its so hard and stressful when the air conditioner turns on.
Love the sarcasm in this comment.
Sometimes I hate getting out of bed in the morning...but, so damn lucky that I can! Wake up and don't let the damn little things bother you...you are so lucky to have a great car such as that BMW!
Bhros is click baiting !!!😭😢
that BMW X5 that is my dream car.
A new Corvette and BMW. Nice house. Life’s treating you good. Enough said.
Seriously preach
Brake dust 😂 it’s a car driving on dirty roads. Come on
All the car assist features in the world but they still can't drive
No its not. Dirty roads have nothing to do with it. It is the metallic flakes coming from the brake pads. He needs to switch to ceramic pads.
"Hate" is pretty strong language. People need to quit throwing that word around all the time.
i hate you
Ivan Ordoñez lmao
Give me your X5 & take my ford taurus 🖕
He dont' hate his car. He just wants to brag about it in a more subtile way.
Salty
Three things that I hate about the X5
1. Too expensive
2. Don't own one
3. I'm driving a smart car
Well work hard and stop complaining about how shit you’re life is. Things aren’t givin to you in life you work for it also. The car isn’t that expensive
Lol love it. He low keys love his ride.
you have a point about the blind spot but the rest mannnn wtf you doing bro lmao
roronoasam. EXACTLY
give me the car, annoyances gone!
What happens to the blind spot warning when you are in congested street traffic and the activation speed is set 5mph....it will be blinking non-stop and you'll complain its blinking too much.
imagine buying a car to hate it
All those things are common with any car
Ok give it to me

Minh Dao sounds good. I'll look into it
How is the reliability on this generation ? I like the way u have set yours up

Real truth
That was good thanks for the update, I'm sure it has helped someone 😊

You are absolutely right on all count, sell it man, and buy a ford
Oh I love the X5. I want one
"Hate" is a strong word when talking about a BMW! I forgive you.
😂 click bait crap, should be titled “Top 5 Whiny Minor Inconveniences”
What year and trim is this? Looks really nice.
Evidently This is his first BMW.
Salty
Where did you get the coding done? Was it expensive? Thanks
Hey just bought this same car same color. Just wondering what front plate bracket you used/recommend?
How did you code it for folding mirrors with the remote?
How much in upkeep ? How many miles was it purchased at and how many have you put on ?
Two of your concerns are easily fixed with just a little knowledge on how to save your profile settings. The AC powering on and Sport mode reverting to Comfort, are settings you can update to however you like. Brake dust is impossible to avoid. Blind spot detection is a valid complaint. Thank you
How did you code the trunk to remote close? I have Carly and dont see the option to code the trunk to remote close.
by change do you have any vibration on the rear seats?
The only thing I hate about X5 is that I don't own it. 😀
You missed your opportunity to buy it. I sold it a year ago
Absolutely nice car in a wrong persons hand 😅
Where did u get it programmed to open and lock the trunk with the remote
Information on your wheels? Also lowered? Aftermarket grills?
Is reliable though, and how much the average maintenance costs
Brake dust is an issue with every car so you shouldn’t only refer to your x5
brake dust 2 ton car doh
How do you have it coded to do those things for you??? That's awesome!!
What brand are those wheels? Tire size/ wheels size and or dimensions?
Is there a difference between 2014-2018 x5 models? Was there ever a mid cycle change?
About to get mine tomorrow! Good looking on the heads up bro
what front lip is that? Like the setup btw
You’re still blessed brother!
Thanks for being honest about your car, I actually like it😊
I reviewed the x5 30d xdrive with the digital screen which looks so good. Ur welcome to check it out if ur in the market for this type of car
Nice video. I have a 2012 X5 so some of the features yours has weren't available when mine came out. How sensitive is the front passenger seat belt warning in yours? Super cool looking color! Nice x5! Just got a 2016 X5 35i. Looking forward to learning everything it does. Thanks
poor guy , he got such a big problems with his car... I recommend you sell it...
😂😂😂😂😂

I coded my 2013 X5d using the carly by Bmw pro app on my phone.. super easy . And a lot of other stuff.
How do you get your car coded so that it can do those 2 features
The Front Plate off to the side of the bumper may be the dumbest thing of all. Just put it where it belongs or don't put it on at all
I am just focussing on the corvette inside the garage
Where’d you get the front lip? Brand?
You forgot the worst part, losing 70% value to depreciation by 2021
I think you may be confusing blind spot assistance with cross traffic alert which is only available when backing up. If you shift your car into reverse you can see triangles in the two top corners that show cross traffic warning. How did you get it coded
What size are the wheels on the X5 Brotha?
im glad i watched this video i have a bmw x5 2015 model and mainly what bugs me me is the blind spot and the air conditioner
Where do you code your computer
What year is that ?
😲 I want my key fob coded to close the back and activate my mirrors lol. Did you take it to a shop or program it yourself?
Hey man, thanks for the great video!

Why don't you just give it away to me, instead of keeping what you hate lol

Yeah I agree.

Correct. Mb works at all speeds and so does a lot of other manufacturers

Change to a better brake pad to eliminate brake dust.
crying about break dust.. and parking assist... change breaks to ceramic.. parking assist doesn't turn til you start rollin around 10-15 mph.. c'mon man smh.. hell, you might as well trade the bitch in lol..
Bernie Fen yea you are right i am complaining about minor stuff. But even 3 million dollar cars have little things here and there that people dont like. These are just things i dont like, but to some one else it might not matter
Also look at the rust runoff we have the same issues
I noticed your navigation maps is coded in green letting you know the traffic flow. I'm having a hard time getting my maps to display this information. Any suggestions? I scheduled an appt in 2 weeks, not sure if I have to have the maps updated or something..
Its only in effect if you have an active traffic plan. $50 for 1 year
Some people are never happy with what they have
I absolutely am happy with my x5. But there is no such thing as a perfect car. Even million dollar ones people have things they don't like about it. I'm sure in what ever vehicle you drive there is something that you don't like about it
What do you work as?
how much did this x5 cost you
Pretty lame reasons to "hate" a car.
If you’ve had your car coded, code the “start in sport mode” option in too.
Coded that and it doesn’t work. Remember this was a 2015 and before bimmercode
Honestly ... u hav such a beautiful car and if Im u, would happily enjoy the machine & live with those silly minnor points!!
AW305.....whats your tire setup, thinking about putting 22s on my x5 but was told that you had to stay extremely close to the stock wheel height or your warranty could possibly be voided
Aaron Washington sorry for the delay in responding. Its 265/35/22 up front and 295/30/22 in the back
Rust amount the brake ?
My bmw too..
It’s so easy to rust
What years is it ?
I love the X5 looks, but not to own.
First world problems! 😂🤓
Where did you get ur coded for the doors/mirrors. I’m looking for places in Cali.
reach out to Rich on IG he can do it remote....here is his instagram instagram.com/richcodedmycar/?hl=en
Where did you get it coded? I am interested in the two features you showed!!
whats up man, when you get back to NY I'll show you
AW305 down!
is this paint or wrap?
Ar you ok ?
Nice video bro I could definitely see this being annoying after awhile. Question how did you get the coding to get the trunk to open that's super Is convenient in my opinion
