This is off topic to the video, but your hair length and style in this video is soooo flattering! I think it’s my favorite iteration of your hair that I’ve seen 😊
I have wondered where your dressing table ended up in the move. It is a beautiful piece! I just love that you do your own thing and aren’t influenced by what others are doing. It’s one of the things I just appreciate about you. Looking forward to the social media video. =)
Interesting how makeup interests change within families. My grandmother was all about makeup, my mother not so except for lipstick years ago. For myself, I couldn't wait and every year my mother would let me add to my routine. At almost 69, I still wear makeup every day. My daughters, even though 20 years apart, generally do not wear makeup. My granddaughter loves to wear makeup!
I’m loving that lipstick on you. I also have pale skin and prefer a bolder lip. When I wear nude lipstick it makes me look so washed out. Thanks for the recommendations, I will be ordering the lipstick and the elf foundation. 😊
Great mascara suggestion I'm looking for a softer colour. Since coming into my 50s I'm working on less is more. I'm an 80s teen so you can imagine the stages of makeup I have been through 😂. But I have recently ditched eyeliner completely ( took a lot of courage as I felt undressed without it) lightened my base and I wear a slightly bolder lip as my hair is now shades of grey and white.its a total change but better for my age as I looked older with a full face and hair dye. I'm going to give your mascara choice a try many thanks
Yes! I love brooches! I'm on the hunt for one to keep a scarf big enough to use as a shawl closed. The only dress I have appropriate for where I'm going in a few days is sleeveless, which is not conducive to the event nor the weather. I'll probably just safety pin it. Pawn shops might be a good place to find one but around here, they're few and far between and don't have much in the way of those types of things. Unfortunately.
Wow, I thought that you were younger. I think that it is wonderful that you use more affordable makeup lines. The most makeup I have ever used was during my goth days. Outside of that I have only used eyeliner, mascara, and lipgloss. I also use eyeshadow sometimes. I now have sunspots and some scarring from a bad case of exzema. I am going to see Les Miserables soon, so am going to put on more makeup this time.
I love the bolder lipstick! I usually wear bold lipstick and have found it brightens my face and I think makes me look younger(I’m 44), not to mention it makes you look put together with little to no makeup. I have very sensitive skin, so have found Red Apple Lipstick a good source for more than just lipstick. I especially like their mascara, as most irritate my eyes and so far it’s the only one that doesn’t and still has a good formula.
It's so pleasant not to be pressured or encouraged to make purchases. We take what we have, YES! My complexion is very fair, my eyes and brows are dark brown or black. So I don't need anything on my eyelashes and eyes to emphasize them. I use lipstick and lip liner in shades of red. I also think L'Oreal has good products at an acceptable price. Although all the make-up stuff lasts forever.
I love your videos, I love the makeup that you use, and your hairstyle. I use Revlon lipsticks the most, I love a red lip or a pink, my hair is salt and pepper mostly salt, so I like to go with a brighter lip, and I love browns and grey eyeshadows on myself. I still wear black liquid eyeliner, and black mascara since my eyelashes are still dark brown, once they start to grow in lighter color, I will go to a brown mascara and go to a brown eyeliner. I do buy a lot of stuff online, since it's getting a bit hard for me to go shopping with my walker.
Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaank you SO much for this video!! I have been waiting this kind of video from you for years and this feels like a christmas present from you to me :D
I love your lipstick, your hair, and your routine! I loved this video!! I am going to find that lipstick. I do love Revlon lipsticks!! xxoo Merry Christmas!
I enjoyed watching this video on a quiet day before the 1st day of the new year after all the hustle and bustle of the holidays. I've always thought your makeup was lovely, defined yet natural. I'm much older than you but I do find our lips seem to fade out quickly, a touch of lipstick or stain gives a healthy look. I'm so glad you moved to Utah and to enjoy the nature around you and the friendly neighbors. My daughter grew up in a Prairie. She attended University of Nevada at Las Vegas on scholarship. We were very proud of her though she missed her home with trees, flowers, sunny days with a breeze, deer, ducks, birds, even racoons. May you and your family enjoy your new space. May God bless you for all the wonderful videos you share of a life well lived.
Nikki, I have been enjoying your videos for several months now. I get so excited when I see that you have posted a new video. I appreciate you sharing your life tips with us! I would like to share a tip with you. Sometimes I will use my lipstick as my blush. I dab it on with my finger and dab it around until I get the look I want. Sometimes I will layer my powdered blush on top, depending on the look I want. Would love to find out if you give it a try! Blessings!!!
I too have problems with lipsticks, as they always wear off too quickly. I do love L’Oréal brand so will look at those. I use Milani blush too, it’s so good. The funny thing right now is, I am suffering with Roseaca on my forehead from using the wrong skin care product and my skin had a bad reaction, so my Doctor told me keep all makeup off the skin while it heals. Have a wonderful Christmas Nikki and I lol forward to many more from you in 2025. May God bless you every day ❤
Hi Nikki. I really enjoyed watching you. I have the same exact color lipstick. I love the color. Those 3 brands are my go to for make up. Thank you for sharing.
I have VERY dry lips and have tried many different brands of lipstick. The only lipstick that has worked for me and stays all day is the “ Rimmel The Only One Lipstick”. Quite inexpensive too. I do love your bolder lips - so lovely.
Thank you for this! You are so lovely....your voice, your mannerisims so simple and elegant. I ordered the foundation, lipstick and eyeliner. Can't wait to try. Merry Christmas!!!
Hi Nikki you always look so lovely, so thanks for sharing what you do for make-up. I love Revlon Colorstay Overtime. 16hr lip colour. Unending Red. Its lip colour one end and gloss the other end. I do love that one you are wearing and i am going to buy it. Thanks Nikki beaut video ❤❤
I haven't tried elf before. But, I noticed that elf does another foundation called e.l.f Soft Glam Satin Foundation 20 Light Cool. There are also neutral tones. I have been looking for something cool tone friendly too.
I know what you mean. I use this in combination with some very cool concealer however, the halo glow is very thin and really acts as more of a shine base. I use shade “0 Fair”
Merry Christmas Nikki! It has been an eventful year for you and your family. I always enjoy getting to see you on your channel but it makes me miss you. May you all be blessed in this coming new year. I look forward to more videos. Please say hello and Merry Christmas to your family from us.🧑🎄☃️🎄❤️.
Do you find the humidity of the bathroom affects your make up. I found applying my makeup outside of the bathroom (at my dresser in my bedroom) works better and my makeup lasts longer both on my face and in the packaging.
Not yet but I've heard that could be an issue. With the cold, this space is so hard to keep warm. The humidity leaves the space immediately upon opening the door.
Nikki, it’s okay if you’re sponsored by a product. As long as you truly believe in it. Personally, I like to hear about certain products from some “influencers” that I’ve come to believe are persons of integrity, of which I believe you are one; and I love that it helps me decide whether to purchase it for myself or not. If God opens a door for you to make extra income, walk through it! May you and your loved ones have a very blessed and Merry Christmas!!
I’m in my early 60’s and can’t find a good makeup routine that works. I feel I look too severe. A department store makeover didn’t seem to be an improvement.
It's a bit vulgar but I laughed anyway when I saw someone the other day saying that black eyeliner at a certain age makes her "look like a 40-year-old hooker." My neighbor's wife is 70. She still uses black liner and it's *painfully* obvious. She's a lovely person so I felt horrible when I talked to her the day before yesterday to give her and her husband their Christmas gift and "40-year-old hooker" ran through my head. Long story short, I totally agree about going for a softer look, especially when you reach a certain age.

Nikky, could you please also talk about how are you handling social media and screen time with your kids in your future video?? Thank you. P
Adorable RED LIP!! You should wear it ever day!
I’m loving that lipstick on you. I also have pale skin and prefer a bolder lip. When I wear nude lipstick it makes me look so washed out. Thanks for the recommendations, I will be ordering the lipstick and the elf foundation. 😊
You should wear a berry lip instead of a nude for a nude effect lip
And keep on the red lip, I do the same
I love these kinds of videos! Thank you Nikki ❤
I have the same eyebrow woes. I over plucked in my twenties and they never grew back!
I love this video. You've inspired me to update my make-up.
Thank you for sharing, Nikki! I love a bolder lip as well. I think I look super pale if I wear a nude lip.

Love the brooch! Why did ladies stop wearing brooches?

Lovely Nikki, beautiful colour lipstick x
Hi Nikki, Thank you for this video. I appreciate the simplicity of what you use and also the budget friendly products.

Your outfit is beautiful. I love your makeup routine. My favorite lipstick right now is the Mary Kay Black Cherry.

I do that too!! To give it a uniform look

Is that elf foundation cool tone friendly? I keep finding orangey ivories and I know you're in my color season vicinity. Which have worked for you?

Hello, what is the shade name of that MAC blush? 😍
It’s called Blushbaby
I’m in my early 60’s and can’t find a good makeup routine that works. I feel I look too severe. A department store makeover didn’t seem to be an improvement.
It definitely takes some practice and I know I've seen several videos of ladies that create content around this subject for every age group 🌹
Has anyone told you that you look like the model Miranda Kerr?????
Not that I know of, thank you for sharing that 🌹
