I think , it's the case of things go down further before they pick up. So the round puffy, ducky, weird puppet looks have led people as future patients to reconsider effects and outcomes of those 'quick fix' techniques since 2000.
The last two years have led to plastic surgeons and to discuss with actual examples of their own work on patients and those of celebrities of what are successful and natural cosmetics procedure and what and why some were not natural, botched or failed. And it opened up conversations about what , and when is right and how much rejuvenation is enough.
And here we are ushering 2025 with more balanced and recalibrated perspectives and expectations.
Thank you all! Doctors, patients and everyone else sharing!
      🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤

The 'we adopting this look or that look" is scary enough. Actually more than scary just obsessive and vanity beyond just wanting to enhance individuality....the 'we' is such a culture of me?me,me to 'make me better' but to all look the same. Let's all go big pouty fish lips ,cat eyes, hollow cheeks.....it screams about a deep rooted psychological and sad inner life. @michelles2299

It's ridiculous to tell people that in 2025 and beyond the only real options for anti aging is $100,000 face lifts, which at the end of the day, are still barbaric, painful procedures that require a lot of healing and can only be done once or twice in a life time, at most. They create a lot of scar tissue and trauma. Facelifts are not good for the skin (I have talked to many experienced healers and aestheticians about this). In the near future, we will have anti-aging technologies, skincare, and health rejuvenations that will reverse aging without cutting and eliminate disease. Hospitals will be a thing of the past, along with Big-Pharma. If we can clone, have AI, and make flying cars, we can move beyond face lifts! Botox is also a poison. It looks ugly and is horrible for the skin muscles. Muscles should not be frozen. It causes atrophy. I agree that skincare and skin health is most important. When I see women, especially in Europe, with beautiful skin and true style, they look beautiful no matter their age, and regardless of lines and some laxity. We have really lost the plot when it comes to understanding what makes someone beautiful. It isn't looking like a cloned version of yourself or having a face that doesn't move or show life.

I am with you on your quest. And the surgeons in Australia don't specialise in just faces. They concentrate on breasts. I noticed Lindsey Lohan recently and thought how fabulous she looked after some of the earlier disasters. Dr Karam is really the only surgeon that has wonderful before and after photos. People say "just grow old gracefully" but I work in a very ageist company - in education (!) and the faculty and staff only see the surface value, putting no emphasis on character, intellect, life experience or ability. It is very disheartening.

The problem with the facelift, no matter the technique used, is the scars on the ears. The incisions are visible and easily identifiable because of all this information that floods social media. Everybody can tell that you have "work" done. The tragus is distorted. This is a no-no for me. Anyway, the human brain has the tendency to detect the unnatural. So what all plastic surgeons should do, is develop a technique that leaves the ears intact.

Yes, this filler is made from poly-methyl methacrylate beading. When this filler came out it was called Articol. I don’t know how this filler was put into your face but it’s supposed to be put in on three different occasions. You first go to see your dermatologist or plastic surgeon/Otolaryngologist…. The first level of this filler is put in where you want it. Nasal labial folds, lips, cheeks etc. then you go for your second appointment one month later and have the second layer put. The layers are very fine. You cannot put this filler in at one time because of the contents of it. There is beads of plastic like filler. One has to go back three times and wait in between so that it will level out and not go lumpy. I did have a colleague Who did put Articol in the way that she was taught and unfortunately her patient went very lumpy. It was almost impossible to take out without scarring. My colleague refused to ever use it again and it was taken off the market. After a few years it was brought back again but only under a different name allegedly……

THen the volume, or fat loss a big one. Fillers don't seem to be doing it. Perhaps fat transfers that hold, don't know if true but there are report that fat sinks or slips, how this is not true because it seems a great way to restore volume.

Who had beautiful skin til the day she went to heaven . However under the knife I have not yet but I have done the Botox but with t my age I see shape of my face is now changing I’m aging and my eyes by brows sagging . My chin has wrinkles , I have flown for the airlines almost 40 years and I wonder what is the best way to help chin , neck , eyes but I am not into the thread those I know who have done this in the USA or in Korea it looks so painful the day after and they go back over and over every
5 months and I don’t want to do that . I am consistent in good health care for my skin & I do love products from Korea but still I know I need to do this revival you do . I had ultra therapy in Spain two years ago but it was painful , I don’t wanna keep doing procedures every 6 months . I have never done strings and never will .
Thank you for educating me on skin ,and reality of what is needed bc I only wanna look natural not like a mannikin in photos or in person .
    Ty✨💫

Hi Dr Karam, what do you recommend for tightening laxity due to weight loss? I had a consult with a plastic surgeon and he said my laxity wasn’t bad enough to justify a face lift. He suggested ultherapy and fillers, which I know you’re not a fan of. Thanks in advance!

Some of them look like different people (e.g. Lohan) but to be fair she never looked this good. Either way, most of the results shown here are really impressive! As a guy (who never had fillers) I'm glad women stopped ruining their lips and faces by injecting too much filler. Smaller lips can be beautiful too - it's about harmony and shape, never size in regards to facial features. And while the plastic surgeons weren't the ones responsible (the gals with fillers I know wanted to look overdone), I hope these great results will influence what people are looking for, after all they mostly do what's "in style". I do enjoy these videos, currently just out of mere interest, and hope that more plastic surgeons will go for such natural results.

But more and more younger people are getting enhanced. This channel targets older people bc he specializes in facelifts. But I think younger people are still getting enhancements. They have no need (or don’t really care) about anti aging. For example, with the emergence of the y2k aesthetic: I see younger women getting the bigger breast implants that were all the rage in the 2000’s. That’s what I consider a trend. This video applies to those of us who have gotten enhancements and now that we are getting older we realize they didn’t age well (ex. Kiley Jenner)

There are a lot of excellent surgeons out there. You just have to do your research and really examine lots of before and afters to make sure the surgeon creates a look that is natural and consistent. If you happen to find them in your region, that’s great if not, don’t be afraid to travel.

Hello doctor.. for a 1990-2010 generations do you think we even gonna look old in like 2050, 70, 90? Maybe too optimist but even now we have 60 years old people's who look like 35-50 peoples' so I'm really interested if you think that there is gonna be a "glass ceiling" where no technology, procedures, treatment really can do anything to maintain like a mid 30's appereance or if in the future being a 75 years old looking like 45 is gonna be a normal thing to see?,

    • @dramirkaram

That could easily be the case. When people follow this outlined procedure the aging process is totally suppressed. I see it everyday.

The Bible says a lot of things. Some good, some horrific. I personally do not want to worship a god who promotes taking slaves of other nations & beating them till they almost die, who loves the smell of burning animals, kills babies as punishment, sends bears to maul youths who called someone bald, and punishes generations of people for the sins of their parents. But that's just me.
