Because even the high level cEDH tournaments allow proxies these days. Great question! 👍 Also, because Wizards tried to sell us all 3 packs of Proxies for $1,000 USD only 1 year ago... so, by that logic, and literally, even Wizards prints proxies. So, by that thought, F them, I'll use my own.
What I love about your videos is that you're a person sharing your specific love of Magic. I've been enjoying Magic on and off since the 90s but I've never actually played paper Magic with anyone but the "goldfish." I have the kind of social anxiety that let's me get all the to the lgs, sit there for a few minutes, then come up with an excuse to home lol. Cheers friend
I've gone to my LGS here a handful of times, and typically play one game each visit. It's hard to find like-minded people, even when you're playing a game. There's also a skill level curve I'm interested in. I often find myself on Friday and Saturday night making excuses as to why I'm not going to play. So far, there's 1 group of actual good players at the shop, and they have an all but set team of 4. Still, it'd be more fun watching them play then playing with random scrubs (no offence to new players, it's just not what I enjoy) -- so I completely relate. Even parking at my shop is incredibly sus, as they don't have enough room for the players, and it's not exactly in a great part of town. All sorts of variables will prevent us from doing what we love, but some times I go ahead and pull the trigger, grab my decks and a binder, and go to the shop. Most recently in mid-July, and it wasn't terrible. Everything happens for a reason, I honestly believe that, so when the time is right, you will conquer this and become more active in a community. Just when you're ready. There's no rush, do what feels right for you. Thank you for the comment :)
I wonder how hype I'll get. We will keep tabs on it, for sure. Hopefully I can avoid spending more than 'a few singles' purchases 😮 Oh, and thanks duder!!!!
Great video, we as well use proxy in our local card shop in order to build decks before buying our copies. Although we usually draw our shity proxy’s. We’re do you get yours from.
Lots out there to choose from, etsy, just do a google search for mtg proxy, you can find anything from tokens to similar cards to downright scarily convincing - go with whatever suits you best
Check out my channel you'll see a few vids and comments pinned where I go into that :) Packs I got from MTGproxy, single cards from all over the place of various quality :)
I was going to say something borderline shitty to go with your intro but thought better of it. I've already been banned from commenting for 48 hours 4 times in the past couple months..... Tee hee
i dont understand why you play proxy?? love the deck ! but proxy .....not so sure!! great video !
