Easy-to-Follow Recipes For Homemade Chinese Takeout | Easy Chinese Beef Recipes
RECIPE:
Steak Marinade:
- 700g Beef
- 1 1/2 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp Chinese five spice
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp chicken bouillon
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 4 Bay leaves
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp olive oil
Sauce:
- 1/2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp chicken bouillon
- 1/2 tbsp general tao sauce
- Lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp MSG (optional)
Beef and Broccoli:
- 1/2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 3 Green onions
- 1/2 of large red onions
- 1/2 cup carrots (sliced)
- 1/2 cup Bell peppers
- 2 Scotch Bonnet peppers
- 1/2 tbsp Pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp cornstarch diluted in 1/4 cup water
Cooking Instructions:
1. Bring a pot of water to a boil with a little bit of salt. Cook broccoli for 1 minute and shock broccoli in ice water.
2. Place large wok, lightly coated with olive oil on high heat. Once it gets hot, add beef. Sear for 2 minute or until the beef is browned and flip and sear on the other side for another 2 minutes. Remove from the wok and set aside.
3. On medium heat, in the same wok, add garlic, green onions, and red onions, sauté until fragrant.
4. Add carrot and bell peppers. Stir-fry for 1 minute.
5. Add sauce.
6. Add corn starch dissolved in water and stir. Cook until the sauce is thickened (takes about 1-2 minutes).
7. Add broccoli and beef. Stir!
8. Add pepper flakes (optional), sesame oil and remaining green onions. Stir!
9. Serve with rice and enjoy!
