Great video thank you 👍 I’m new to the 4 strokers I’m from the 2 stroke days Broke many rear fenders and fouled plugs 😩 So I’m hoping what I’ve seen on this vid I’ll be able to start practice 👍
I love your videos. I broke my back 2010 on a dirt bike. Retired until two years ago. Was scared to death to get after it again. Watched video after video as a refresher. Went to the track with my kids last week (we all have bikes now) and I felt like although I was not as good as I once was I was definitely getting back to it. I feel like I have potential again. And I seriously thought about the knowledge I gained from your videos to really watch myself. Great content. I hope you guys realize how much it helps to hear a time frame. For real i get so discouraged because i practice for a long time and dont make any progress. To know that if i practice for 2.5 to 3 hours i will probably see results helps out immensely, it gives me a point to look forward too. When i dont have a time frame its kinda like i feel like im never going to learn it but now that i know ok, 3 hours practice practice practice i can then practice better because i know i probably wont see any change for at least 45 minutes or until something clicks and i nail it. Thank you guys so much, so far you are the only ones to give an estimated time that will get me wheelying past the haters haha thanks again
Btw a long time for me is like half an hour lol by the time i've practice for half an hour i get bummed thinking i will never learn and give up. Now i will push myself to keep practicing knowing how long give or take i need to try.
I started trying to ride wheelies on the street when I was about 15, and didn’t get them on lock until I was about 18. Now I just turned 20 and can hit curves and such while riding stand up or sit down fast wheelies. The slow ones still get me. Close to dragging fender but it’s taken literal years to get there. Seat time is everything. Get on some dirt and don’t be afraid to loop out twenty times. Fenders are cheap. Of course I only practice the road wheelies on the road to and from the riding area (which I ride from my garage) and the slow wheelies were super rare to practice cause I was scared of em. Keep it up, it takes a lot of time. Next step for me is one handed 🙄
Jacob Schmidt its not replacing the fenders that was the issue. Its my dad, he gets nervous when i ride and im afraid if i wreck he will make me get rid of my bike, he already doesnt care too much for it. If i break my fender he will know i looped and it doesnt matter what id tell him hed probably still be upset...he worries and i get that he doesnt want me to get hurt but i just dont know what id do if i didnt have a bike anymore. That thing is a part of me lol on my old ttr125L i got knee knockers sorta somewhat learned, the problem is i dont like to be leaned back and i especially dont like leaning back real fast and my bike is a 200 2 stroke so it likes to come up fast and im just not used to it yet and not really sure when i will get use to it but thats my problem is panicing when it comes off the ground past like 2 or 2 1/2 feet and i take my feet off the pegs. Wheelying it isnt too hard even without clutching it up but like i said, getting use to being leaned back at that angle is the thing i have to learn and train myself to brake instead of try to leave lol
em Burgess for real bro, me too. I grip the bars really hard because im afraid of yanking up on the bars and slipping, just jumped my bike a couple hours ago using their techniques and it felt really good, didnt get swirly or anything. Didnt get but a couple feet of air but i'll take it lol
good points about putting the wheel up and tapping the break before you start trying to do balance point wheelies if you know how to save your self from looping out even if your not staying at balance point its okay it will eventually just click and you will know when to tap the break lightly to put the front wheel down just that little bit to go back to balance point. but this bit of just clicking can take 1 day of 40 days but when it clicks you will be the best out of your friends
I have a idea, I'm a musician who loves MX, as a musician I can go to some of my favorite teachers on the web and exchange with the the teacher or other students, there is a fee of course, so my question is can I send videos to you the MX Factory to watch to straighten out my riding skills? That is awesome i appreciate you taking the time to make this video not only i learned new drills i also enjoyed the good vibes. Love u peeps keep up the good work and stay solid
I cannot stress enough how important drill #2 is. I could wheelie for a good while with NO rear brake control. Multiple loops. Finally went out and spent many hours just doing that drill. Sooo much better now and safer!
Hey thanks for the vid! Awesome tutorial. Just a quick question, would you recommend taking off the rear fender until you get the hang of it? Don't wanna bust it if I loop out

Just curious, did you watch our Top 5 Tips on Buying a Used Bike Video? It may have some useful purchase tips if you plan on buying used bikes. Otherwise, how old if your boy? Best thing to do is bring him to a dealership and see if he can touch both sides with his feet sitting on a bike. That can determine if the 50 is right or now. Maybe a klx110 is better depending on size. And a 250 4 stroke is a great bike to have some fun on. Really any big bike that runs great will be good. We ride Ktms and Husqvarnas, but newer bikes keep getting better and better, so they’re all good these days. Honda’s do tend to make high quality stock parts that last though 👍🏻
Would be nice to hear your story, how did you learned wheelie, was it just many years by just poping some wheelies for fun untill you got very good, or you was doing this tips
Hi. Are you constantly feathering clutch once bike is up or just leaving it engaged and applying brake at tipping point to stay in balance point? Thanks a ton.
Feathering the clutch. Depending how slow your wheelie is, it helps to prevent you from stalling if you push your rear brake a little too hard. Ideally it would be nice to leave the clutch engaged, but keeping your fingers ready to feather will give you more control.
Great videos I am looking to get into dirtbike riding, i already own a fz09 as a street bike but the dirt is calling. I was wondering if you had any thought about a good first mx, im 26yo 6feet 200pounds. For now i am hesitant between 125-250cc two strokes or 250 4strokes

There's a lot of tall riders out there and it just comes down to practicing, no real 'tall guy' solution unfortunately for the brake pedal.
