I love the detail, but I can't imagine ever wanting to build something with so few pieces.
Putting it together is the best part!
My thoughts exactly... Model building is about building....
And thats before you even see the price!
Gotta agree, I just love to observe the model "grow" on the workbench
@@carlperkins1812 well resin is more expensive than plastic, so what do you expect?
I'm the opposite, if its a real model I like to get straight to the painting. If I'm putting everything together, I might as well scratchbuild.
My friends, I'm back from winter hibernation! Hope y'all had wonderful holidays and Happy New Year! It's good to be back!
Edit: forgot to add a link to the grab handle tool, it's in the description! :)
Always great to see your videos night shift they help me get through uni lol
Can’t wait to see the projects you’ll be working on this year, I’m glad your back 👍
For How tight the track and Wheel plate was a Razor saw would have been good.
Welcome back, I missed this friday vídeos.
The ninjitzu of 3dprinting says remove supports before curing and use hot water (60C) to soften the supports, makes support removal easy as fock
Man, this hasn't been a great week, but I'm glad to see you're back and I'm really looking forward to this video. Thanks, Uncle Night Shift.
Aww, cheers mate!
hope your week gets better man
@@mrbigbrain2429 Hey thanks man, I appreciate that.
Same brother, my week has been garbage but videos like this get the weekend off to a good start
@@larrymanns364 Hopefully your weekend is better than your week was, and yes, a good Night Shift video is a great way to kick off your weekend right.
These early cold war french tanks are really cool. The best thing is the similarity with german Gen 3 tanks. And those THICC cast oscilating turrets…
Oh, the oscillating turet in a fully elevated position!
Yes! It can clearly be seen that the French had been fielding the Panther post war and used the tech and updated it for the running gear. It would be an interesting concept to do a what if model of a 1948 panzer MBT of a victorious German-GB-USA pact vs Soviet cold war era vehicle.
@@G60syncro Yeah. German WW2 tank construction had a lot of influence on french 50s tanks. Even the engine was german.
Just a tip from someone who works professionally with 3D printers: just use a pot with hot water and put the parts in for one minute. Then you normally can easily pull of the supports (sometimes depends on the used material). Just make sure it is not as hot that the parts also start to bend/deform.
I do the same thing with my 3d printer makes removing the supports much less tedious
I was just about to suggest this! ;-)
@F. Lbk do you have a temperature recommendation or?
@@thunderstruck6647 I use about 85C from my kettle, but that was with Forge World resin for Warhammer kits, I can't be sure if the 3d printed stuff would work quite the same.
Advice I got was to start with hot tap water, and if it doesn't do enough, add splashes of boiling from a kettle until it works.
Another good option for longer pieces is a hair dryer, they can direct a pretty solid and controlled amount of heat.
He cites at 5:08, that the reason he didn't do it is because "3d Resin doesn't react well to that, and they won't bend back into their original position a week later."
This version of the Amx 50 is by far my favorite. Also really surprised that uncle night shift used WoT and accurate in the same sentence
Haha, they put a lot of effort into their 3D models! The WoT HD render matches the real vehicle pretty much perfectly.
If there's one good thing I can say about Wargaming is that their art department has never let me down and they deserve all the love they (the art dep.) can get, they do a really good job.
@@fernandomarques5166 music team too. They be making bangers
WoT art department is absolutely amazing, music too. Too bad they are probably the only 2 departments that know what they are doing...
@@TomasLeGamerairfield, sand river, ghost town, studzianki, all kinda bangers ngl
Man I've wanted a proper AMX (any of the experimental ones) kit in plastic for a while now. Shame they're not that well known to warrant one of the bigger manufacturers taking a shot at them. Still, this looks temptingly good.
Agreed, a styrene kit would be awesome, but this is surprisingly good. And definitely not as terrifying as a "traditional" complete resin kit :)
@@NightShiftScaleModels I'm still holding out hope for someone like Amusing Hobby to do a kit as they seem fond of experimental and paper tanks, and they do good work with those.
Tamiya do an AMX 13!
@@ozzythehoddy I have one of the Takom ones, solid little thing. But I meant stuff along the lines of this one, AMX 50 100, AMX 50 120 or even the Lorraine 40t which is even more unique with those rubber tyres for roadwheels.
Amusing Hobby released an ARL 44. Maybe they will release the AMX family some day? 🤞
Great work! This looks very impressive. I've seen some of these ResinScales kits on FB but people complained about a lot of layer lines and poor printing. It looks like they've upped their game on the newer releases :)
Hey there King, some of the print texture is very hard to remove and it would require a lot of time and effort, but the best way is to accept the model for what it is - a raw 3D print (and that already makes it pretty unique!). It's also surprising how much can be hidden or obscured by paint :)
Yeah I guess armour texture and primer and paint all work to conceal it.
If you would have told me there would be 100% 3d printed models in 2022 10 years ago, I wouldn’t have believed it. But here we are, amazing…
Exactly, but then again, we live in the future :)
I can remember how, ten years ago, 3d printed objects would look heavily layered lol I can't believe how fast it became somewhat of a legit thing !
Finally, I can start looking towards Friday again
When watching you grind that resin, I just had to say something. That paper mask isn’t going to keep those super fine resin particles out of your lungs. I recommend getting a 3M 7502 mask with some P100 filters, or equivalent. When sanding, do it wet. You won’t know you sucked up too much resin until it’s too late and you become hypersensitive to dust. Just trying to help.
1:29 they are even printing the parts' packaging protector in one go?! Wow!
Yeah, some of the engineering is very nifty!
@@NightShiftScaleModels use war thunder not world of tanks next time
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR SO LONG!!! I'M THE ONE WHO REQUESTED THIS MONTHS AGO!!!!!!
Looking forward to watching your vid!! Hey does anyone know a place with good reference photos for german armour?
Just type whatever tank you're looking for into Google and add "walkaround", you should find a bunch of good galleries of museum tanks :)
For historical photos... hours spent on Google images, at least for me, haha.
@@NightShiftScaleModels who doesn’t love action google for hours lol when you built that jagdpanther from meng I built their panther a early kit those tracks took forever especially after adding the ice cleats. Thanks for the reply appreciate it
Hi uncle
"Keep building those models, not just collecting them".
Amen, brother.
Very impressive model. I have seen 3d printed kits before but not like this. You have my subscription and will continue to. Keep up the great work.
Thank you , Uncle Martin
🐺
Nightshift always gets the modelling mojo back up, time to get back to the desk.
Best birthday present yet
Just looked up the kits, those prices are understandable for resin but WILD 🤯 definitely will be waiting for the tech to get better or cheaper.
Yeah, I'm sure the print time is also a huge factor for the final price. Printing one of these kits must take several days.
This!
@@NightShiftScaleModels Yes -- assuming they're using consumer-grade printers, we're talking 3 seconds for most layers, and there are likely 20 layers per mm of height. Since the hull looks like it was printed standing on its front, that's per mm of the length. Plus it has to be cleaned and cured -- and they have to account for failed prints in their costs.
@@NightShiftScaleModels still probably it would be cheaper if you have printer yourself in the long run.
Good to have you back! Cool model, love it.
when the world needs him, he returns
This is the best present for new year!
Man, that thing is a total beast! Great work!
so happy to see you back! hope you had a great time
Such a cool looking tank!
So great, I dont build models but I love to sit and watch these videos.
This looks fantastic! And props to Rob for coming up with such a uniquely designed tool
Glad to see you back with a fantastic new model and love that it's a high quality 3d print. Can't wait to see how it looks with paint and weathering.
Sold on grab handler and ordered. Thank you for the recommendation.
Nice work. I'm impressed with the kit. Printing is starting to get pretty solid. Thanks!
love the kit! cant wait for you to paint it
He has graced us with his presence once again! All bow to the modeling master!
We miss you a lot MR. Night Shift! Happy 2022!!
WELCOME BACK UNCLE! Was just starting to wonder when we would be graced with more friday vids. Hope you had a great time!
Cheers! It's great to be back!
Just amazing! Great video
Yes, back to looking forward to Friday's.
Starting the new year with a big bang!👌🏼
I’m very much looking forward to the painting and weathering!
Another amazing video Another amazing build, this might be the future of modeling
I LOVE the amx 50, this looks sick
Absolutely beautiful
Glad to you see your back my friend 😎
That came together really well. Great work as always!
YES, that's my favorite tank. excited to see how it turns out!
Welcome to weekend!, first pleasure see Nightshift video 👍
Been watching you for a couple years and what a great new year this will be! I really love your stuff!
Nothing more satisfying for me than putting the parts together.
If they came in a low part count I would find another hobby.
Thankfully I'm sure companies understand that so even if this is the future they will still cater for us that enjoy construction.
Waking up to these are awesome 👍
Im working on the meng 1/35 ft17, your painting tutorials with acrylic paints are really helping me
He's BACK!!!
I really appreciate your videos, as someone who has gotten into modeling recently it's good to see how people who are good at it do it, and I always want to try to attempt the techniques I see here (even if it would be out of scale) even if they seem really intimidating
О! 50В! Its awesome! Beautiful tank!
HORAY! I’m glad to see you back on UA-cam! I’ll be honest Martin, this is awesome! Once again you have surprised us all and created another beautiful kit, great job!
Really look forward to your latest video...always something new, entertaining and useful. Thankyou
The master modeller in action again, its a great end to the week! Great job!
Very impressive!
It's a great day when you upload love you content, love from Canada 🇨🇦
Crazy build❤️❤️❤️
You have extraordinary patience doing these models! Very interesting and your verbal description is excellent
I appreciate the bottom corner notes for new tools and toys used in builds! I'm always pleasantly surprised by the variety of tricks and tools that are out there to make modelling more enjoyable. Coming back to the hobby after university, your channel has helped me catch up and learn a lot of advancing technique. Thank you.
Great video!
Man, this is my favorite French tanks so i'll be looking at this project vety closely. Awesome work keep it up
Happy New Year! Great to see another awesome video, especially this crazy resin kit!
4:14 That message made my day
Accurate Armour have been manufacturing excellent complete kits of 1/35 military vehicles since the late 1980's. I've built their Panther D w/ IR scopes and zimmerit, they're outstanding. Very easy to build and incredible detail - the bare minimum of scaffolding and flash.Their figures are of the highest standard.
I have their 1/35 U-BOAT. Unparralled achievement. I will build it when I master seascapes.
Great work sunshine and so entertaining with your observations.
Holy cow, I just checked their site out. They have Red Alert 2 armor. Yep I know what my next project is going to be.
I enjoyed this so much I've treated myself to a ResinScales T110 E4
Can't wait to see you weather and paint this one, looks awesome mate, keep up the good work.
My friend, happy new year and best wishes for this new year, full of challenging new projects, like this one! 👍🏻😊
This is the inspiration and mojo boost I need right now. Welcome back, Uncle nightshift ;)
I enjoy your videos. I recently got back into modeling and I ordered a hot wire cutter for dioramas. You inspired me!!
I love seeing you building a French tank !!!!
This amx50 looks sooooo goood!!!! Gotta love post war french tanks! Awesome video.
Amazing, and that wire bending jig? Brilliant!
WOOOOOHHHHOOOOOOO the Uncle is back again 😍🤘🏽
This is incredible detail and with so few parts! But, building the models is the best part.....
Oooooh man this looks awesome
the king is back
The amx 50 is so cool, I was lucky enough to see it in real life. Can't wait to see your build, I may have to get this too
I’m a tank nerd and I love this 🥰😍
Looking forward to the next episode. This is looking great.
I'm really hyped for painting. I think it will be beautifull!
Lovely model
Great work, like always! I love the extra detail you added, the welding just blew my socks off. Looking forward to the painting video. ^_^
Love ur vids.
As someone whit little to no experience in this type of stuff i find them very interesting, and fun to watch.
Keep up the good job
After exam from spanish this is exactly what i needed
Welcome back "My friend" hope you had a great holiday break and keep on modeling!! Well done again!!
holy crap new nightshift upload :D
I agree that kits like this are probably going to be far more common in the future. I was surprised at how well done this particular kit was. Very cool.
That figure looks great on this tank.
Welcome back! Wow nice how you have pimped the model :)
I am already looking forward to how it goes on
I have been looking forward to this😆
the AMX 50 is one of my favorite tanks in Work of Tanks game. Fell in love with this orange beauty
Finally, I was interested in this hobby before but couldn't find any cheap and good kits near me. Lately, I was thinking about whether or not I could just model and print my own tank model. But thanks to this video, you have sparked my interest in this hobby once more. Looking forward to the end result!
That copper ring is beautiful
Awesome! I've been hoping to see how a 3d printed model is worked on by a model whiz like you. Very cool! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for making my favourite tank :)
That is a real "unit"! Pretty impressive Martin... I like the figure choice as well.
Nice work and top detailing as always 👍
