I really like the name Cuneo. Besides meaning wedge, it's also the name of an Italian city in Piedmont, the region where FIAT was born. This goes very well with the proclivity of certain Italian brands to give their cars the names of Italian cities and places, particularly Ferrari and Alfa Romeo (think Ferrari Roma, Ferrari Monza, Ferrari 360 Modena etc or Alfa Stelvio, Tonale or the would be Alfa Milano, just to name a few recent ones)
@@the.bavarian You had the same idea as Alfa Romeo, who used the Cuneo name for a concept car in 1971. It was even more shaped like a doorstop than any other wedge you can think of, and I have mixed feelings about it because they repurposed the '68 Alfa P33 Concept to make it-a car that I think looks much better, and is one of very few designs that bridged the gap between '60s curves and '70s wedge.

Body quality, that is, the one near the body style variant selector right after engine tuning, has a huge effect on reliability while barely changing engineering time, PUs and material cost. A few points there might make a big difference
If you realy want to drive up sales in the light sport market, they want reliability more then the other sport categories. I've always found about 60 reliability is the minimum you want to be running at 2 shifts with a good margin (2 shifts is the optimal rate for car production, your cars cost less when you run factories at this rate constantly)
need to keep an eye on the actual reliability numbers! I'd love to run 2 shifts, but mostly it still is about survival - I get more profits by running higher margins which will hurt the overall sales numbers. But as markets grow and we expand into Gasmea, we should get closer to the 2 shifts again
Ive noticed this about automation. When your suspension is tuned for high market scores, be it drivability or sportiness, it often translates to a borderline undrivable amount of oversteer and floatiness in BeamNG.
Great to have you back and with a completely new model no less, I'd like to propose Ghiottone as a name. The new car looks like it could eat everything on the track, Ferrari, De Tomaso, Alpine etc. (edit: after watching the lap, maybe a track downforce package is in order)
For the facelift: It needs a rubber lip spoiler in the back (like the 1980s Alfa Romeo Spider), no chrome trim, and a writing on the side pannels/doors with the brand of the car. Kind of like Porsche did with their "Carrera" side decals, or like the DeTomaso "Pantera". A flying buttress would be also cool for the c-pillar, like the Maserati Merak, or the Ferrari 599, but maybe not possible with this body since it is already hard to work with.

Continuing the impression, he'd make fake dog panting noises intersperced with spaniel whinnying.
I noticed you scaled down those headlights to about .74%. I believe those that headlight fixture already features 5 3/4" headlights, meaning yours are absolutely tiny! But they don't *look* tiny in proportion to the car. If you look at other cars of the era with quad headlights, they take up a *massive* amount of the space of the front of the car, between half and 2/3 of the front width combined, in some cases. Look at a C3 Corvette for example, and the space between the lights is less than the width of each light itself! I think that's why so many cars used popups at this time. Quad headlights took up so much horizontal space, and of course dual 7" lights would require a really tall opening to be fully visible without popups, space which is not really available on a car with such a flat nose. Maybe it's these constraints that caused the cars of this era to look so similar. Someone compared your car to the Ligier JS2, which doesn't have popups, but does have massive headlight housings, which are pushed as far to the sides of the car as possible. I know you probably consider your design finalized, but maybe it's worth experimenting to push the realism a bit further? Hope this doesn't seem to critical, just wanted to mention it because it's interesting and I know you like authenticity. It's kind of like how people yell at anyone who resizes the default license plates... Great episode and great design, regardless!
got to watching this channel because chips recommended it on the subreddit as a "career tutorial replacement" and just when I reached the last episode you released another one. perfectly timed for me.
Name the car after the "Col de Turini", which is of course the mountain to the west of Turin and the traditional last stage of the Monte Carlo rally! It sounds so "international" and glamorous, and it gives away a hint on the sports- and racecar history of Cisalpina, which of course is located near the alps (because of the name).
S2 is going to need a Targa Top version (No Convertibles between '75 and '85 in Gasmea) Some Serious Rear downforce (a Nice big "Delta" Shaped Rear Wing maybe?) to stop the Skidding (as Gasmea is Litigation Crazy! so if the Lairy Handling causes a Crash or two...the Gasmean's will Sue for Millions!) And open (No covers) Lamps with Square, Sealed Beam, Projectors. it will also need the Big Rubber "5MPH" Impact Bumpers with Over-Riders, It is also going to need an Automatic Gearbox Option as Gasmea is very much "Automatic or Bust" even on performance Cars. Maybe limit the Automatic Gearbox (a rather "Dim Witted" 3 Speed from Might that Dates back to the 1950's) just to the Gasmea Only Targa? so the S2 Berlinetta (with the Open Headlamps, Sealed Beam Square Projectors and 5MPH Impact Bumpers and Over-Riders like the Targa) is Manual 5 by Default with a 3 Speed Automatic Optional (Automatic Option Exclusive to Gasmea, Manual 5 Only in other Markets) the Spider (Not sold in Gasmea and thus also gets to keep its Round Lamp Projectors with Covers and Slim Chrome Bumpers as it does not need to meet Gasmean Headlight and 5MPH Impact Rules) is Manual 5 Only, and the Targa (Gasmea Exclusive) is 3 Speed Automatic Only? For Hedvetsia, a Large, Extremely Safe, Four Door, Luxury, High Performance, Automatic (and they will want a more High Tech 4 Speed Box!), Rear Wheel Drive Sedan or an All Wheel Drive, Sport Utility Vehicle is going to be the only way to get them Buying. Rather Beyond Cisalpina's Budget the the Moment. Might be best to wait for the 80's or 90s. A Hot Hatch might do well there however once that Market becomes available in the late 1970's, as Cisalpina could afford to do a Rear Wheel Drive Hot Hatch as the Basis for a Group 4 Rally Car, something like the Talbot Lotus Sunbeam could fit. Very Ferrari-ish design but the touch of the non pop up headlights makes it look like an older version of the Fiat Coupé, mid engined and with a cool rear end!
It’s like the shape of a lancia 037, while a bit like a stratos, but more beautiful then both. Also the way it drives you would have to be very smooth and seems like a difficult car to handle for performance driving.
I think the engine louvres look a lot like a horse mane, so maybe a "Stallone" (italian for stalion) would fit well, keeping with the tradition of animal names too
Good to see this return, but that thing really really needs a wing! I know it ruins the 288/328 aesthetic the car has going on but it is madly sideways!
For the name, I was thinking Gherpado (maybe Guerpardo to follow the Cisalpina naming scheme) which means Cheetah, because from the side it kinda looks like a cheetah in attack stance, Also that little lip on the rear, would produce a bit of drag and lowering the lift on the rear

But I'd really like to know, if it's possible. The suggestions are: - wegde shape body (you could use the carabo mod body) - "popup" headlights - gullwing doors - a red lightbar in the back (as the brake light) - a white and orange lightbar in the back (as the reverse light and the indicators) - a digital dash Thank you for considering my suggestions, I hope, they'll get real. I remember when you first made the Cisalpina Red, you made it slightly pale and dull to indicate the fact that the paint quality wasn't so good. Is it about time for a Mk II Red to reflect the higher quality the company has attained?
Yeah I think they changed it at some point. Earlier (before the separation of quality and tech pool) you could get wider tires with quality. I am just too old :)
Yeah, I wanted to do one, but this body only has full convertible options. Targe would have been dope. I could make one visually - maybe as the facelift option and get rid of the Berlinetta. It won't score in the convertible market, though.
