Thank you for this script! Works perfect. An option to continue with your dotfiles installer script could be nice. All-in-one solution for beginners or simply best riced setup for Hyprland. Would be cool to have the same for Qtile as well.
I'm using your version 2.6 right now. Will going back to this base version of hyperlands delete anything except your upgrades? Will I still have all my files and programs such as my custom nvim setup and other configurations outside the scope of hyperlands? Hope that makes sense.
Thank you for the hard work you've put into these dotfiles. O've been using them and absolutely love them. However, can you tell me how to add more wallpapers? I've been trying to figure it out.
Sweet I'll try this out, but what's new in 2.0? Updated packages? New optimized script? I'm having an issue with xdg-desktop-portal-hyprland and I'm wondering if this starter script will help fix it. EDIT: I installed this starter 2.0 on a minimal Arch install followed by the 2.6.1 dotfiles (maybe the beta by accident? lol) and it seems to have solved my xdg-desktop-portal-hyprland issues. I'm guessing it was a mismatch of hyprland and xdg-desktop-portal-hyprland versions, and it was conflicting with stuff. Thanks for this updated script!
Why bloat it up with plasma ? pacman -S sddm and systemctl enable sddm will do the same if you want sddm other display managers aunt officially supported but usually work fine I have been using ly with hyprland for a while but I eventually went back to login via tty and running Hyprland from there afterwards
Some suggestions Could be nice to choose which packages to install (except core ones) Example I want to run hyprland on already installed gnome desktop. I won't go for dolphin ( will bring mostly all plasma pile with it). I didn't see if there's a backup of config folder... If not, could be a good choice. Tks a lot for your work.
This was a great video, but I had some problems with the installation, I can't change the Firefox and Dolphin themes, and I can't share the screen on discord
Hi. Thanks for your feedback. This video covers only the base installation of Hyprland. You can use a qt5 configuration. And please look at this page for screen sharing: gist.github.com/PowerBall253/2dea6ddf6974ba4e5d26c3139ffb7580

@@mylinuxforwork no not really, actually i havent added any apps for autostart, there is a small script that adds keyboard shortcuts for audio and brightness control. today i had 3 browser tabs open and i was sitting at 87% ram usage also the last build didnt have this issue I have started noticing this after installing the new update.

Which is the great thing about Linux freedom to choose I will say Hyprland follows closely with other tiling window managers on keyboard shortcuts. Great. Thanks for your feedback.
Stephan, you are really a good master. It was the first successful step for me, for hyprland
That's great. Thanks for your feedback.
Worked very well on Manjaro, tested within the first hour of this update.

You can install additional fonts with pacman or yay and include it into the config files of waybar or alacritty.

Please make an install script or guide to NixOS users too. I think a lot of people would be happy :)
Yeah. I agree. Let’s see.
I ported your rice to Nixos home-manager( to any linux distro ), just need to custom scripts and add pywal (never used it). Thanks

Hello, actually sddm isn't supported i think, they just said it works, but to be honest i got less issues using gdm.
