Driving the FURKAPASS: curves, glaciers and views in my Jaguar F-Type inspired by James Bond

Picking the most famous "Swiss Curves 2022" during this summer's roadtrip, the Furkapass was a must. Featuring iconic landmarks like the Belvedere Hotel opposite the Rhone Glacier, it made a famous appearance in "Goldfinger" in 1964 when Bond raced it in his Aston Martin Tilly Masterson in her Mustang along the pass.
We crossed the pass from Gletsch in the West to Realp in the East. Roads are significantly better than 1964, so driving that pass was fun particularly on the western ramp, where roads are wider. Unfortunately, the eastern ramp was very narrow, crowded, had too many too big vehicles and a bunch of cyclists that slowed down passing construction sites even further. Still, standing at the same spots as the late Sir Sean Connery made it a worthwile effort.
And, of course, since we had a roadbook for the trip that pointed it out, you'll hear me talk about enthusiastically a couple of times to the other drivers ;-)
