The down to earth country approach is amazing. I subscribed just because of your demeanor never mind the content. You could be showing the best way to pick yard trash and it would be entertaining. Keep up the good work. Great job sir...!
The ceiling “hidden rod rack” is like the quilting frames our grandmothers used to use. You could work on your quilt, then pull it up to your ceiling and it was out of the way! So clever!
The pool noodle suggestion in this video is a great idea. Just added pool noodles to the wifes Walmart shopping list. Told her it is gonna help keep the house neat and more organized. Didn't say what part of the house specifically but she's gonna figure it out. 😁👍🇺🇸
This content is awesome, I don't care who you are! I always come away with new ideas from your videos, so THANK YOU. My wife will be not like you soon, as I'll now have room for more rods. Don't worry, she'll (eventually, sortof, but not really) get over it.
Hahaha tell her they're just shoes too men she'll get it lol . Women always have a 100 pairs of shoes , its kinda the same any way . I really don't want to cause no marriage problems be i still appreciate you watch lolol
PVC + Noodle combo works for me! I also use the noodles for kayak bumpers on top of the car rack, instead of the $75+ chunks of foam that are designed for it! They make good canoe rims too!
Now that's some handy information right there. I'm gonna put some PVC on one end of my tonneau bed cover and a pool noodle on the other and see if that don't hold them in place while I travel around. I might aught to put another noodle down near the reel end of the rod to help hold it in place.
The pool noodle is an awesome idea! I am going to mount a piece in my ice shack and hang my ice fishing poles. I use to hang them on nails. But that can be rough on the eyes and the line. Thanks for the idea!
So glad you made this, the ol lady always b telling me, I jus wish you'd build you a he shed to put all your fishing stuff up, but I ain't got that kind of money, this helps lots, Thanks tons
I made a rod rack from scrap pallets that the local hardware store just gave me for free. Drilled a hole for the the handle on one side, and notched the bottom just so it sits cleanly. Cheapest rod rack I've ever made. Now just need to paint is to make it look nice and protect the wood from fraying.
Cool videos kinfolk... I made a pretty simple and cheap rod rack for my apartments out of adjustable shower curtain rods on my balcony. No screws just tighten . My wife loves it too
Thanks buddy! Love the pool noodle idea..I’m revising my rack with that Ta-Day! Glad I’m not the only one with a ridiculous amount of rods..I heard if you know how many you have..you don’t have enough! I lost count long ago, and still adding more.😂 Have a safe and great Memorial Day! 🇺🇸. God Bless
Hack number 8 , if you alternate the end that you do the angled cutout at you can alternate the end that the reel is it. Works well if you have big reels and limited space
Thanks for the video I always enjoy your videos. I had seen a few of those ideas before but you also have some new ones and I liked how you consolidated them into one little 8 minute video.
I like your DIY projects. I’m retired, not a lot of money,so your ideas will work for me. I live in my small (not tiny) travel trailer so I’m thinking about an idea to store my rods/reels inside my trailer. I already have a makeshift “rack in my ‘04 Tahoe made with pool noodles so I have a feeling one end of my indoor storage will consist of one also.. Keep the DIYs coming.
Used your idea of wine corks to make bobbers. But also used golf tees instead of straws and made mine into peg bobbers.. I got my corks from a winery for free.. They gave me around 100 of them
That's cool , thank you for watching over my friend . I had some work done by some guys that were from south Africa , i loved their accent so I'm sure I sound funny to you lol
Great ideas!!! Now I have something to do today. Missed a few videos been working a lot. Looking forward to get started on this new idea. Stay safe.👍👍👍.
Hey Dude, I like the theme of your DIY projects. I have a good topic suggestion for ya. How about 10 unconventional uses for zip ties. For example, the car dealer stripped the holes for my truck license plate (must have used a power tool) and I noticed the screws were loose. I jammed a couple zip tie segments in the holes and the screws now tighten very snug. Another application: my Mustang had a rear end knock over bumps due to slight play in the bushing around the rear sway bar (non-moving part, which costs $400 to replace) but a couple of large zip ties snugged it right up since they had the perfect elasticity for the job. There must be lots of other unconventional uses.
You are the man love your Chanel, always such good ideas the lattice panel works great fore more than just fishing rods thanks for the tip. Keep um coming
The DIY King....🤴...strikes again ! And once again delivers some great DIY’s 👍. Really some awesome rod racks , my favorite is the pvc with the “T”s. Take care my friend, and take care. Hope you and your family are having a Happy Memorial Day 🎉
@@FishinNStuff im going to combine 2 of your ideas, the one with the cut outs on one end and the pool noodle one. Gonna use the un cut out end then the pool noodles and see if'n they'll hold in a lay down position on the rafters of my man cave! I'll let you know how it turned out. May just use 2 pool noodles
@@FishinNStuff No man.... It's we in the fishing community who thank you! Your videos are incredibly informative and you also make them fun to watch. Bravo!!
I'm about to build apvc storage for inside my RAV4. I currently have some of those straps you can find, but they suck! They have small Velcro circles that I guess you are supposed to undo Everytime you want your rod out, nope, I slid the woods over the top of the strap, and of course baits get stuck, they slide around making noise. So I'm gonna get some PVC probably 3-4 feet, mount them to those straps and slide the poles inside.
I made a similar rack as number 4 for my axes. I'm an axe thrower, make custom Kydex sheaths for axes, and customize throwing axes so I have a ton of them.
Very nice wish I had a garage be nice to make some of them. But the lattice once I've seen before I love that one. But thanks great vidoe as always. God bless
I did Idea #5 buuuuuuut I had my buddy with a lasar, cut it for me out of stainless ;) I need to get him to cut me some planer boards next! Great Video my friend! Happy Fishing!
Another great video! I’m working on one now to hang them in the roof of my station wagon. Should work in a SUV as well. It’s our kayak fishing vehicle and right now the rods are all over the place. I’ll let you know how it turns out.
Got another-one for you. Take 1.5" id black pvc . Cut it into 3" pieces. In the middle drill a hole so a screw fits through, other side drill a hole that your screw head doesn't fit through. 2 per rod. Mount anywhere. Mine are on the ceiling in the ManCave. SK.
